After hearing Colette’s report back at the new base’s mansion, Floria nodded with an expression of understanding.
“I see. With Kousuke’s Divine Realm combined with the existing goddesses’ powers, it’s only natural that it would become so.”
The area around the new base is a place where divine power gathers to an extent rarely seen anywhere in the world.
Considering that, it might not be so strange that spirits gather there like they do at the World Tree.
Of course, if an elf were to hear such a thing, they would likely call it nonsense that would make them go mad—or at least faint.
The reason Colette isn’t afflicted that way is because she has some understanding of Kousuke and the goddesses’ actual situation, so she can just dismiss it with a “well, that can happen.”
And because someone is always by her side, casually accompanied by the four types of fairies, it’s possible she’s become accustomed to it before she realized it.
Familiarity, it seems, befalls everyone equally (?).
As Colette wore a resigned expression, Silvia, who was nearby, patted her shoulder with an unreadable look.
“…Silvia.”
Colette didn’t say anything specific, just called her name, but Silvia gave a small nod.
“…I wonder. I sort of feel like I’ve been patronized.”
Kousuke, who had been watching the exchange between Colette and Silvia, looked at them both, his cheek twitching.
Then, Floria, in turn, patted Kousuke’s shoulder.
“She’s not patronizing you. She’s simply resigned.”
Kousuke wanted to ask what the difference was, but wisely, he didn’t.
He knew that arguing pointlessly here (perhaps?) would only result in him being defeated.
Seeing Kousuke like that, Floria deliberately changed the subject.
“Putting that aside, there was something I wanted to ask, is that okay?”
“What is it?”
“Well, I’ve always been curious if the Winged Race’s floating islands can pass through this area, you know. How is it?”
Floating islands, as their name suggests, fly in the sky.
It’s known that monsters can’t approach the area around the new base, but they don’t yet know the details about what happens if other things come close.
Therefore, Floria had been curious about what would happen in the case of floating islands in the sky.
In response to Floria’s question, Kousuke tilted his head slightly and replied.
“I’m not sure if I can say for sure without asking. I think they probably can’t get close. …Shall I ask?”
Kousuke has a route that allows direct communication with the Winged Race.
He can talk to them anytime he wants.
“No, it’s just out of curiosity, it’s not something I absolutely need to know.”
“Well, I suppose so. Or rather, I want to know myself, so I’ll go ask.”
In the end, his own desire to know won out, and Kousuke decided to contact the Winged Race.
Fortunately, in the current world, a direct connection to the Winged Race is highly coveted, so he doesn’t keep it lying around in the Tower Management Layer.
That said, he doesn’t exactly keep it in the living room either, so Kousuke headed to his private room in the new base.

“—And so, I’d like to know about that area, if you could tell me.”
Eiru, who was suddenly asked this by Kousuke, looked a bit bewildered.
By the way, the communication with the Winged Race uses (unnecessarily) advanced technology with video.
It’s a magic tool that can only be maintained because the other party, the Winged Race, has abundant magic power (holy power).
“Master. I apologize, but if I don’t know where that base is, I can’t answer you…”
To that perfectly obvious answer, Kousuke made an “Ah” face.
Since the Winged Race moved to live on floating islands, they had been investigating various places around the world.
The main content of this was whether or not they could go to certain places in the world.
This was because they discovered that there were limits to where the floating islands could go while traveling over the continent’s skies.
The most easily understood places where floating islands cannot go are around the towers in various locations, which is typical of Asgard.
Specifically, when approaching within a few kilometers to nearly ten kilometers of the tower’s surroundings, they avoid that area and pass in a circle.
Furthermore, there are several other places besides the tower surroundings where floating islands cannot pass.
Many of these are locations with historically famous religious facilities, so it is thought that the goddesses implemented such mechanisms when creating the floating islands.
Considering that, it seems as though they would also avoid the area around the new base, but in reality, it’s impossible to know without confirmation.
Listening to Eiru’s words, Kousuke pondered what to do.
He felt that he could tell the Winged Race, especially Eiru, the location of the new base, but perhaps it was better not to give unnecessary information.
However, that thought only lasted for a moment.
He didn’t believe the Winged Race would do anything even if they knew the location of the new base, nor did he think that information would leak from the Winged Race, who were largely cut off from the outside world.
Most importantly, he couldn’t imagine Eiru betraying him.
With that in mind, Kousuke confirmed that no one other than Eiru was present and told him the location of the new base.
Immediately, a reply came back from Eiru.
“Is it around there? I believe we passed by about a month ago, please wait a moment.”
After replying, Eiru moved away slightly and started rummaging around.
The magic tool Kousuke is currently communicating with, as well as the room where Eiru is, are rooms where important items for the Winged Race are kept.
Places that floating islands cannot pass through are often also important places for Asgard, so they are treated as top-secret information by the Winged Race.
Therefore, maps containing that information are strictly managed, just like Kousuke’s communicator.
Eiru pulled out a map of the Central Continent and, after confirming the location Kousuke mentioned, nodded several times.
“As I thought. The place you just mentioned, we cannot pass through on this island.”
“Ah, so that’s how it is.”
Eiru’s answer was exactly what Kousuke had imagined.
Since the base itself was created by the goddesses’ power, it was only natural that this would be the case.
As Kousuke nodded and replied, he noticed that Eiru had an expression as if he had something more to say.
“Hm? What’s the matter?”
“No, um… if you don’t mind, perhaps we could keep watch over that area?”
Kousuke shook his head from side to side at Eiru’s offer.
“No. There’s no need for that. Even if they approached on foot, they wouldn’t be able to enter by ordinary means.”
He hadn’t confirmed it thoroughly, but since floating islands couldn’t enter, he assumed they had taken care of such matters as well.
He couldn’t imagine there being anyone in this world who could counter the power of the goddesses.
At Kousuke’s words, Eiru withdrew without saying anything further.
Eiru doesn’t know that the new base was created by goddesses, but he can tell it’s not an ordinary place just from the fact that floating islands can’t approach it.
He judged that making any further offers would simply be imposing.
Eiru wanted to be of more use, but he understood Kousuke’s personality well enough to know that any more suggestions would only be forceful.
This was the long-awaited appearance of the floating islands (or rather, Eiru).
There are areas that floating islands can go to and areas they cannot.
Surprisingly (?), there are also extremely limited areas where ancient dragons (drakes) live that they cannot pass through due to their power.
That being said, Kousuke hasn’t met any wild (?) dragons so far, but will he ever meet them? lol
