I want to do.
Summoning magic.
This is the art of summoning the desired target.
The target here is not limited to living or inorganic matter.
If the caster’s skill is high enough, theoretically, anything can be summoned… or so it seems.
What needs to be noted here is that summoning magic can also be used to summon a target and end there. This means that if the summoner summons something stronger than themselves, and there are no restrictions during the summon, the summoner could be defeated by the summoned entity.
Therefore, summoning magic is a set of summoning and restriction.
Restriction is, in essence, a contract, and basically, summoning magic incorporates such a contract to ensure the summoner is the superior being.
However, there are exceptions to everything.
This is when the target to be summoned has already entered into a contract with the summoner. In Kousuke’s case, Kou falls into this category.
Kou, who was brought by Mitsuki, had already formed a master-servant contract before entering into a summoning contract. The summoning contract was formed after the master-servant contract.
In either case, the summoner becomes a superior being to the summoned, which is the nature of summoning magic.
…Or so it should be.
“…So, Kouhi, Mitsuki… what is this?”
Kousuke decided to ignore the scene before him for a moment and asked Kouhi and Mitsuki.
“Was there a problem?”
“I’m sorry. I don’t understand what you’re trying to say either, Kousuke-sama.”
Seeing the two of them genuinely confused, Kousuke looked up at the sky once and replayed the concept of summoning magic in his mind.
No matter how many times he thought about it, there was no element that would lead to the situation before him.
Yet, for some reason, two men and women were fawning over him right in front of his eyes.
These two were the ones Kouhi and Mitsuki had summoned earlier.
The man called himself Wahid, and the woman called herself Exu.
According to the rules of summoning magic, they should have been fawning over Kouhi and Mitsuki, not Kousuke.
“No, I’m just wondering why these two are like this…”
“…Ah!”
“…It’s simple. The summoner is superior to the summoned. We, the summoners, are the Master’s familiars. It is natural for them to fawn over the Master.”
(…Eh, is it natural!? …I see, it is natural…)
Seeing that not only Kouhi and Mitsuki but also the two summoned individuals nodded at their words, Kousuke gave up on thinking deeply.
“Hmm. Is that so? Well then, nice to meet you.”
At Kousuke’s words, the two in front of him bowed even lower.
“…Haa.”
“It’s a pleasure to meet you.”
It felt very formal for people who were going to spend time together from now on, but Kousuke decided not to dwell on it.
After all, according to Kouhi and Mitsuki’s plan, these were not the only summons.
“Putting that aside, these aren’t the last summons for this time, are they?”
According to the plan, Kouhi and Mitsuki were supposed to summon three people each, for a total of six.
“About that, things have changed a bit from the plan, and it looks like we’ll only be able to summon once a day.”
“…We’re having trouble replenishing the power from the crystals.”
“…Huh? Is that so!?”
“Yes. It’s not that we can’t replenish it, but we can’t efficiently extract the magic power from the crystals. If we extract it directly from the crystals, there’s always a loss.”
“It seems more efficient to use it through the tower’s management than for us to absorb it directly.”
Hearing their words, Kousuke crossed his arms and thought.
“…I see. So, should we start using it up here from today?”
“That’s right.”
“That would be better.”
“Understood. Well then, there’s something I want to try, so I’ll use it there.”
Leaving the two summoned individuals to Kouhi and Mitsuki, Kousuke set out to modify the tower.

What Kousuke is thinking about is having adventurers defeat the monsters appearing on each floor and earn Divine Power.
The problem is how to attract adventurers to this tower, but initially, they can advertise it as being able to reach the tower immediately via a teleport gate.
However, Kousuke doesn’t think that’s enough.
Adventurers on the Central Continent are, on average, at a higher level than those in this world.
Having beginner-class monsters appear up to the 40th floor is not very rewarding for high-level adventurers. This is even more true for this tower, where each floor is extremely vast.
On the Central Continent, there are many intermediate-class magic beasts in areas slightly further from towns. As things stand, there’s no need to go out of one’s way to earn money in this tower.
So, what to do?
Kousuke was looking for a certain function in the Management Menu.
“…Found it! This is it!!”
He felt relieved upon finding the desired function.
If this wasn’t possible, his plan might have fallen apart.
Name: Layer Exchange
Setup Cost: 100,000 pt (Divine Power)
Description: Swaps any two layers.
(That’s expensive!! …Or is it not? Considering the cost of recreating the environment from scratch without this, it’s a fairly reasonable price… However, with the Divine Power remaining, it’s not enough to proceed as planned. What to do…)
Swapping layers once is fine, but since there were plans to swap several, no amount of Divine Power points would be enough.
For now, he put the Layer Exchange on hold and looked for other functions.
Name: Transfer Gate (Layer Designation)
Setup Cost: 10,000 pt (Divine Power)
Description: A teleport gate that allows arbitrary designation of the destination layer. Only one layer can be specified. Can be set for round trip or one way.
“…This is it! …Ah, sorry.”
He blurted out involuntarily, and Kouhi, who was nearby, looked at him with a surprised expression, so he apologized.
For now, it seemed that the guidance to the floors could be managed with this Transfer Gate (Layer Designation), so he immediately began to set it up.
He decided to create the flow pattern based on the Fifth Floor, which was planned to be a village.
The First to Sixth Floors were left as they were.
One Transfer Gate (Layer Designation) was installed on the Sixth Floor, connected to the Forty-First Floor.
Next, one Transfer Gate (Layer Designation) was installed on the Forty-Fifth Floor, connected to the Seventy-First Floor.
Finally, one Transfer Gate (Layer Designation) was installed on the Seventy-Second Floor, connected to the Seventh Floor.
Then, the layers sandwiched between the Sixth and Seventh Floors were set to be skipped. One Transfer Gate (Layer Designation) was installed on the Fortieth and Seventieth Floors respectively, connecting them to the Forty-Sixth and Seventy-Third Floors.
With this, the installation of the transfer gates was provisionally completed.
As it stood, managing the tower’s traffic flow would be troublesome, so the existing transfer gates leading to the upper floor on the Sixth, Fortieth, Forty-Fifth, Seventieth, and Seventy-Second Floors were removed.
Incidentally, there was no cost for removal, and unfortunately, no points were gained either.
He also closed the gate connecting the First Floor to the outside of the tower.
This concluded the work related to the transfer gates, and the traffic flow became as follows:
First Floor (External Closed) ~ Fifth Floor (Planned Village) ⇔ Sixth Floor ⇔ Forty-First Floor ~ Forty-Fifth Floor ⇔ Seventy-First Floor ⇔ Seventy-Second Floor ⇔ Seventh Floor ~ Fortieth Floor ⇔ Forty-Sixth Floor ~ Seventieth Floor ⇔ Seventy-Third Floor ~ Hundredth Floor
* “~” means connected by ⇔ (round trip) for each floor.
Additionally, since the Holy Power and Magic Power collected daily from each floor were being wasted, he checked if there was anything that could be done. He found an option to disconnect the crystals from each floor, so he disconnected the crystals from the Seventh to Fortieth Floors.
He wondered where the excess Holy Power and Magic Power had disappeared to, but realizing that he wouldn’t find an answer, Kousuke stopped thinking about it halfway through.
This time, things didn’t go according to Kouhi and Mitsuki’s plan. Such things happen sometimes.
The next chapter is scheduled to be updated tomorrow at 8 PM.
