Let’s Manage the Tower – Chapter 16

I’ve confirmed the movement lines from the Fifth Floor, so next I’ll work on creating the village… or so I thought when Mitsuki spoke to me.

“Kousuke-sama, do you have a moment?”

“Yeah. What’s up?”

“I’ll escort Exu and the others to town.”

Kouhi and Mitsuki are set as Assistant Management Chiefs.

By the way, Wahid and Exu are set as Administrators.

When designated as Management Chief, Assistant Management Chief, or Administrator, one can freely enter and exit any floor using the Teleport Gate.

Using the Management Gate, it’s possible to go straight to the First Floor. From there, you can exit the tower.

Once outside the tower, Mitsuki can teleport me to the town.

Teleportation into or out of the tower is not possible. Entry and exit to each floor of the tower is only possible via the Teleport Gate.

“Ah, wait a moment. I’ll open the entrance to the First Floor… There, all set.”

“Thank you.”

With that, Mitsuki left Kousuke and went over to Kouhi, saying something to her.

The two of them looked at Kousuke together, and for some reason, Kouhi blushed and nodded, while Mitsuki laughed merrily.

“…Eh? What is it?”

“I-It’s nothing!”

“It’s alright. It’s not bad news for Kousuke-sama either. …Probably.”

“Haa…. Well, it’s fine.”

Her last remark piqued my curiosity, but I doubt I’d get a proper answer if I pressed the issue.

Kousuke somehow understood that pushing a girl in such a state wouldn’t lead to a good outcome.

“So, do you know when you’ll be back?”

“I’ll be back tomorrow.”

“Understood.”

“See you then.”

Mitsuki, taking Wahid and Exu with her, headed towards the town.

While Mitsuki is scheduled to return tomorrow, Wahid and Exu will be active in town for a while.

“I’ll go prepare dinner.”

“Thanks.”

Kouhi also left the management room, her face still flushed.

Kousuke, left alone, would now finally begin the work of creating the village on the Fifth Floor.

Name: Standard Residential House (Type A)
Installation Cost: 20,000 pt (Divine Power)
Description: A standard home for a family.

Name: Medium-Sized Shop (Type A)
Installation Cost: 50,000 pt (Divine Power)
Description: A medium-sized shop. Features a counter on the first floor. Can also be used as a Guild hall.

Name: Shrine (Tiny)
Installation Cost: 50,000 pt (Divine Power)
Description: A shrine that can house a Teleport Gate. It’s small, consisting only of the room for the Teleport Gate.

I constructed ten houses and one shop in the central area of the Fifth Floor.

I plan to install a Teleport Gate that connects to the outside in what will be the center of Ryusen town, so I built a shrine for that purpose as well.

The Teleport Gate itself will not be installed yet. A building for the Teleport Gate’s installation is planned to be constructed outside of Ryusen town, and it will be installed after that is completed.

Wahid and the others are in charge of the preparations on the Ryusen side.

Naturally, since these will be built by human hands, it will likely be some time before the Teleport Gate can be installed.

Name: Low-Level Barrier for Structures
Installation Cost: 5,000 pt (Divine Power)
Description: A permanent barrier to prevent intruders from entering structures.

I also installed barriers on each building.

Goblins appear on the Fifth Floor. This is to prevent the village from being ravaged before people can live there.

It might be a good idea to periodically have Kouhi or Mitsuki subjugate the monsters around the newly formed village.

For now, this concludes the creation of the village on the Fifth Floor.

Just at that moment, Kouhi arrived to say dinner was ready, so I decided to pause my work here.

“After I finish cleaning up from dinner, I’d like to go to the Fifth Floor, is that alright?”

“To the Fifth Floor? That’s fine, but did something happen?”

During dinner, I checked in with Kouhi to see if everything was alright.

“I’m thinking of subjugating the nearby monsters as much as possible since buildings have been erected.”

“That’s fine, but… we don’t have much time, so I don’t think we can defeat many. Mitsuki isn’t here either.”

“It’s alright. My main objective today is more to check the surroundings of the village. We’ll do the proper subjugation once Kouhi and Mitsuki are both here.”

“Understood. I’ll accompany you.”

Kousuke could handle the monsters that appear on the Fifth Floor without issue, but Kouhi and Mitsuki wouldn’t allow it, so the full-scale subjugation was postponed.

It felt a little overprotective, but I appreciated their concern, so I went along with it.

After dinner, Kouhi went to clean up, so Kousuke decided to do some additional work in the management room.

He was going to add rooms for Wahid and the summoned group on the management layer.

While the summoned group would be working outside for the time being and wouldn’t need rooms on the management layer, it would be problematic if they returned for some reason and had no place to stay.

Therefore, I provisionally added rooms for all six of them.

Small Rooms x 6 = 1,000 pt (Divine Power) x 6
Furniture (various) = 200 pt (Divine Power)

Inside the rooms, I only installed beds and small shelves.

The rest of the furnishings would be decided by each individual.

Furthermore, I realized I had forgotten something extremely important for living (at least for Kousuke), so I decided to install it.

Bathhouse (including changing room and miscellaneous items) = 10,000 pt (Divine Power)

Kousuke actually loved baths.

He fondly remembered going around to various open-air baths whenever he had free time.

To save on points, I couldn’t install the absolute best, but I’d leave that for a future enjoyment.

By the way, at this time, Kousuke had no impure thoughts. He simply wanted to take a bath.

Unfortunately (and naturally?), there are no games in this world, so currently, it was arguably Kousuke’s only luxury.

Upon finishing the installation of the bathhouse on the management layer, Kouhi arrived, and we decided to head to the Fifth Floor.

We proceeded from the Teleport Gate towards the center and confirmed the houses and shrine I had installed.

Perhaps by chance I had built near a nest, a gray wolf was lurking near the buildings. It seemed unable to enter the premises due to the barrier.

I decided to subjugate the wolf first and then check the houses. However, Kouhi easily took care of the wolf.

The houses were in a state where they could be lived in immediately.

At this point, Kousuke realized a fatal mistake.

“…I forgot to build a well…”

“That’s right. Speaking of which, what about the sewage system?”

Looking around, there was no sign of a sewer or ditch.

“That seems to have been automatically created underground when the first house was built. It cost 100,000 pt (Divine Power), but I suppose it’s a necessary expense.”

“I see.”

I thought about adding a water supply system as well, but there were no towns in this world with a fully equipped water supply system.

It wasn’t available in the management menu either, so it probably couldn’t be installed.

It wasn’t impossible to ask a craftsman in this world to build one, but I didn’t intend to go that far.

Postponing the full-scale subjugation until tomorrow, Kousuke and Kouhi returned to the management layer.

After installing the well I had forgotten, Kousuke decided to take a bath right away.

It was a considerable expenditure of points for the current state of the tower, but since baths with constant hot water aren’t standard in typical homes, it was probably about right.

As Kousuke was leisurely soaking in the bathtub, Kouhi surprisingly entered.

“K-Kouhi!? …What’s wrong?”

Kouhi, who had entered while covering her exceptionally well-formed body with a towel, approached with a blushing face.

“Since we’re here, I thought I’d join you… Was I intruding?”

“N-No… It’s not like that. Actually, I’m glad… No, never mind.”

Kousuke was flustered by the unexpected surprise, but there was no reason to refuse, and his feelings were more than welcoming, so they ended up bathing together.

(Come to think of it, this is the first time we’ve been alone in a situation like this…)

In the first place, it was rare for Kouhi and Mitsuki to act separately.

This was, of course, their first time in such a situation.

Kousuke could only force himself (??) to accept that the night’s activities that followed became extremely passionate, which was unavoidable as a man.

By the way, the management layer has a water supply system.

However, since the management layer has no exterior, other tower managers wouldn’t conceive of a water supply system. They probably believe the water appears by magic.

I debated whether to include the last line, but ultimately decided to keep it. It might not be necessary, lol.

While returning from work, I was run over by a car. At that time, my soul goes out and was transferred to another world. The goddess I met sent me out to the world she manages. In that world, I captured a tower and managed it. I accepted various demi-human races(including humans) in the tower to develope it.
