Let’s Manage the Tower – Chapter 19

Good morning, four days after I started managing the tower.

I checked the “announcements,” but there was no tower LV up this morning, only a notification for experience points.

Nothing else changed, so I looked for anything I could install on the management screen.

While looking at the summoning circle options, I had a thought.

(“It’s a shame to only be able to summon wolves when I can summon other things…”)

Perhaps because the tower LV is 3, the types of creatures I can summon are very limited.

I looked at them one by one, but nothing really caught my eye.

However, one item did appeal to me.

Name: Kitsune Summoning Circle (10 individuals)
Rank: Monster Rank E
Installation Cost: 100pt (Divine Power) or 50,000pt (Holy Power + Magic Power)
Description: Allows summoning of fox spirits capable of using foxfire. They are generally capricious, but will become affectionate if they warm up to you.

Foxes.

Fluffy ones.

At that moment, that’s all Kousuke could think about.

Without hesitation, I decided to install it.

I chose the 8th floor for the location.

Just like with the wolves, I installed stables and a spring.

While I don’t know if foxes will use stables, I imagined they would use anything that could protect them from the elements, so I installed them.

I also installed a . I didn’t know if foxes would eat slimes either, but they are edible.

Suddenly, I looked at the list of buildings and noticed something interesting.

Name: Shrine (Tiny)
Installation Cost: 50,000pt (Divine Power)
Description: May house the power of a god? For now, it’s just a building.

…Before I knew it, I had installed it next to the lodgings. (No regrets, by Kousuke.)

I immediately took Mitsuki to the 8th floor.

I summoned ten fox spirits from the installed and gave them names.

After naming them, I checked each one’s status. The fox spirits waited patiently during this time.

When I checked their statuses, I found a pleasant surprise. Nine out of the ten individuals had already learned from the start.

They also had skills that seemed to be magic, such as foxfire and illusion.

I expect them to be quite useful if they grow, so I’m looking forward to their work.

After enjoying the fluffiness for a while, I told them they could use the facilities as they pleased and instructed them to hunt on their own.

I don’t know if foxes hunt in packs like wolves, but I figured they would hunt on their own if I gave them that instruction.

By the way… the fox spirits gleefully ate the slimes that emerged from the .

(“…Are slimes a delicacy for monsters?”)

I tried asking Mitsuki, but she just tilted her head.

I didn’t really understand, but since they seemed happy, I decided it was fine.

It was getting close to noon, so I finished up on the 8th floor and decided to return to the Management Layer for the time being.

When I returned to the Management Layer, Kouhi was back, and lunch was already prepared.

While gratefully eating, I asked about the progress of the six-person party.

I thought there wouldn’t be much progress since only three days had passed, but there was one development.

The six individuals were registered as an adventurer party and are active, but they plan to establish a base outside the town of Ryusen.

This base will later be where the teleport gate to the tower will be installed.

The request to create that base has already been completed.

…They’re fast workers. I thought it would take longer for negotiations since it would be built outside the town, but it apparently ended surprisingly smoothly.

“They said they charged quite a bit for guard duty during construction and hazard pay.”

“Well, that’s unavoidable.”

By the way, the six-person party and Kouhi & Mitsuki met outside the town.

This is because I have no intention of revealing myself as the tower manager at the moment.

I don’t plan to keep it hidden forever, but I think it’s too early. At least, not until the town within the tower grows to a certain extent.

Therefore, to avoid suspicion that Kouhi and Mitsuki, who are always by my side, are somehow connected to the six-person party, I am being cautious.

After discussing such things and finishing lunch, I waited for the two to finish cleaning up, and then went to check on each floor.

On the 5th floor, the wolves led by Nana showed no significant changes other than the skills of the new recruits having leveled up considerably.

As for the original five wolves, their skill levels hadn’t changed much either. They hadn’t been surpassed by the new recruits, of course.

However, perhaps because they were divided into two groups, one for village defense and one for hunting, one of the new wolves had learned a leadership skill.

Since I’m maintaining the current situation to observe for a while, I have no intention of increasing the number of wolves today.

Next, I went to check on Hii and the others on the 7th floor.

Unfortunately, it seems there were casualties during a hunt.

When I gathered them to check, two were missing.

I don’t know if it was because I increased their numbers too much, but I accepted it as unfortunate but unavoidable.

However, in return, the skill levels of the new recruits had significantly increased.

The skill levels of the older members had also gone up.

It’s surprising to see individuals with Level 5 skills appearing.

It seems Hii’s personality is reflected here; they are hunting quite aggressively.

I decided to give Hii a warning not to be too reckless.

I also checked Hii’s status and found that she had successfully learned , so I made sure to properly impart my advice.

I tried my best to be careful not to be too harsh and discourage her, but I lectured her thoroughly.

Finally, I went to the 8th floor as well.

Since I had just placed them there, I didn’t expect many changes.

As expected, about six of them were still hanging around the .

The remaining four were nowhere to be seen, so they were likely out foraging in the surrounding area.

Their statuses also showed no significant changes, so I decided to return to the Management Layer as is.

Upon returning to the Management Layer, I decided to end my tower management for the day and spend some relaxing time with the three of us.

It had been a while since we had relaxed together, as I had been busy with tower conquest and management.

We enjoyed the food the two of them prepared and spent time chatting about trivial matters.

After that, since the two invited me, we all took a bath together, and then we all enjoyed ourselves in various ways.

So fulfilling. (Hey!)

Huh? The shrine? I installed it before I knew it, are you asking about something? lol

While returning from work, I was run over by a car. At that time, my soul goes out and was transferred to another world. The goddess I met sent me out to the world she manages. In that world, I captured a tower and managed it. I accepted various demi-human races(including humans) in the tower to develope it.
