Let’s Manage the Tower – Chapter 3

Kousuke, who was sent out from [Evergreen Garden] to Asgard, had to deal with the situation in front of him without having time to calmly assess his surroundings.
After all, the moment he thought he had arrived, an explosion resounded right beside him, so he couldn’t calm down at all.

(What!? What happened, what’s going on?)

While confused, he tried to assess the situation and look around… but he didn’t need to. He knew the cause of the explosion.
Right in front of Kousuke’s eyes, a one-on-one battle was unfolding.
The fight was happening a little distance away, so he couldn’t tell what kind of person (?) was fighting.
He refers to them as person (?) because, even from a distance, it was clear they were not humans that Kousuke knew.
Their appearance was similar to Humans, but what was attached to their backs clearly indicated they were a different species from Humans.
Both had something like wings attached to their backs.
He wanted to get a little closer to confirm, but since the battle was ongoing, he couldn’t get close.
At that moment, lost in thought about what to do, he had completely forgotten what he had been taught at [Evergreen Garden].
He had remembered it perfectly right up until just before being sent to Asgard. After all, it was a matter of life and death.
But the sound of the explosion right after arriving had blown it all away.
The fact that in this world, a moment’s carelessness could lead to death.

As Kousuke watched the battle between the two, he heard the rustling sound of something stepping on grass.
It wasn’t coming from the direction of the battle, but from directly behind Kousuke.
Sensing the sound, Kousuke turned around.
The moment he turned, a cold sweat ran down his back.
Right behind Kousuke stood a bear, with its arm raised.
It wasn’t just any bear.
Of course, even a normal bear from Earth wouldn’t be something Kousuke could handle, but he had heard this was an even more ferocious creature.

Monsters existed in Asgard.

“Waaaaaaaahhhhhh!”
All Kousuke could do was scream on the spot.
He couldn’t even try to escape.
The moment he turned and saw the bear (which he later confirmed was called a Black Bear), his legs tangled, and he fell over.
After screaming, the only thing left for Kousuke to do was close his eyes and wait for the moment.
But…

The impact that should have come didn’t, and after a weighty thud reached Kousuke’s ears, two female voices were heard.
“Master!!”
“Kousuke-sama, are you alright!?”
After hearing the voices, he slowly opened his eyes and saw the Black Bear lying on the ground right beside him.
And standing next to him were two women, one with blonde hair and the other with silver hair.
Both looked at Kousuke with anxious expressions.
“Ah, ah. …I don’t seem to be injured, so I’m alright.”
He managed to reply with a dazed tone and looked at the two women again.
The first thing that caught his eye was the three pairs of six wings on their backs.
The colors of the wings were different, white and black, but both were exceptionally beautiful.
The woman with white wings had blonde hair and golden eyes, giving off the impression of a strict class president.
The woman with black wings had silver hair and silver eyes, giving off the impression of a kind older sister.
They were two contrasting figures in many ways.

Feeling embarrassed to be crouched in such a pathetic state (though he hadn’t soiled himself?) while being worriedly observed by two beautiful women he would never have met on Earth, Kousuke averted his gaze.
Seeing this, the blonde woman, perhaps misunderstanding something, directed a disapproving gaze at the silver-haired woman.
“It’s your fault for doing unnecessary things (fighting) that you’ve caused Master unnecessary worry.”
“Oh, my. If you hadn’t said unnecessary things in the first place, I don’t think it would have turned out like that (fighting), do you?”
“…What!?”
“…What is it?”
Although they had just met, Kousuke felt an ominous air between the two and hurriedly tried to change the subject.
“Um, um… thank you for saving me. And, um… what is a ‘Master’?”
It was something he had been curious about since earlier.
He hadn’t done anything to warrant such an exaggerated title, especially since they had just met. Even Kousuke wouldn’t forget meeting such beautiful women.
However, the answer he received was not an answer at all.
“Master is Master.”
“…Uhh?”
As Kousuke was bewildered, the silver-haired woman said something preposterous.
“We are beings created for Kousuke-sama, so treating us as Master is natural.”
“…What!? What is that!?”
“Huh? Didn’t you hear? Since Kousuke-sama is not familiar with this world, Asura-sama created us as guides for you.”

(No, created…? So easily…)

Kousuke, who hadn’t heard anything, was utterly surprised.
“Therefore, Master, we would like you to choose which one of us you wish to accompany from now on.”
“…What!? Choose!?”
“That’s right. There’s no particular need for both of us.”
Feeling their expectant gazes, Kousuke’s expression involuntarily twitched.
Somehow, he felt that no matter who he chose, it wouldn’t end well.
He instantly understood the reason they had been fighting earlier.
“Um… um…”
Both of them looked at Kousuke with smiling faces.
Even so, Kousuke’s back felt like it was about to break out in a cold sweat.

(No, if I choose only one, it’s definitely the end, right? No, maybe choosing one would be better for them to help me…?)

At this point, Kousuke’s indecisiveness flared up.
However, he couldn’t take too much time.
He decided to say it boldly.
“…Um… Is it not okay for me to have both of you?”
The moment he said it, he felt a chill, but he wanted to believe it was his imagination.
“If that is Kousuke-sama’s choice, then it is not particularly a problem.”
“…That’s right.”
Feeling that dwelling on this topic would be bad for him, Kousuke decided to quickly change the subject and ask what he had been wondering about.
“So, I haven’t heard your names yet, could you tell me?”
“We do not have them.”
“…Huh?”
“As I said before, we are beings created for Kousuke-sama, so we were not given specific names. …It would be best if Kousuke-sama gave us names.”
“…Eh? Is that so?”
When Kousuke looked for confirmation, the blonde woman nodded vigorously.
“Please do.”
With their expectant gazes, Kousuke inwardly wrung his hands.
“…Names… Names, huh… I can’t just come up with them…”
With the two beauties looking at him expectantly, he couldn’t possibly refuse, so he squeezed his limited knowledge to think.

(Blonde hair and silver hair… It’s too simple, but how about Sun and Moon? Sun, Light… Moon… Hmm…)
He proposed names that he somewhat thought of.
“Then, for you, how about Kouhi (光陽)?”
He asked the blonde woman first.
“Kouhi… Kouyou? I think it’s very good.”
With a big smile directed at him, Kousuke breathed a sigh of relief.

“Now, it’s my turn.”
As the silver-haired woman looked at him expectantly, Kousuke, inwardly trembling, spoke the name he had thought of.
“Um, for you, I thought of the name Mitsuki (箕月). How about it?”
“Mitsuki… Minazuki? Thank you. From today, I am Mitsuki.”
“I am Kouhi. I look forward to working with you, Master.”
“I look forward to working with you, Kousuke-sama.”
With smiles directed at him from both of them, Kousuke felt that it was worth the effort he had strained to produce, and he couldn’t help but be captivated by the smiles of the two beauties.
Event occurred!! The answer to the route will be in the next installment.
