While Razek Amamiya was working towards establishing a public education system for the nation, Crown was aiming to establish a different educational institution. Simply put, it was the establishment of a vocational training school. This was actually much less complicated than the school Razek Amamiya was creating. After all, the guild that formed the basis of Crown already had a system for educating rookies. This education involved ranking members teaching rookies about etiquette and skills. In the Crafting Division, a master-disciple system existed, and introductions to masters seeking disciples were also provided. While such matters were typically the responsibility of Public Guilds, the Tower Town of Amamiya lacked one. Therefore, Crown took on this role at Razek Amamiya’s request. The vocational training school was an expansion of this. Although initially intended for a small number of people, a similar system was already in place, so explaining it was not particularly difficult. If they had wanted to, they could have established it with a few years of preparation. The reason it took so long was that they were waiting for Razek Amamiya to establish their national school. They were concerned that if they established the vocational training school first, public education might be neglected. Unfortunately, public education initially seemed to be limited to nobles, rendering this concern largely moot.
With Razek Amamiya’s public education system finally ready for unveiling, Crown’s management layer gathered on this day to discuss the vocational training school system. It had been a while since Crown’s main members had assembled in the management layer. For the past few years, those like Wahid in supervisory roles had completely delegated practical matters to the division heads and had been traveling around the world. This was, of course, to investigate whether Crown could gain acceptance in other continents. Branches had been established in the capitals of several countries, including the Sumit Kingdom, but progress was far from smooth. The reason was simple: while every country that Crown approached for branch establishment welcomed Crown’s expansion, they invariably attached conditions that, frankly, required Crown to subordinate itself to their nation. This was the current situation leading to the postponement of branch establishments. There were also issues with existing Public Guilds. Fearing that their work might be taken away with the advancement of Crown, the most dynamic organization currently, the supervisors were traveling the world to finalize such information and conditions.
It had been several months since Kousuke had last seen Wahid, a supervisor. “Wahid, it’s been a while. Are you feeling alright?” Wahid looked at Kousuke with a smile. “Thank you for your concern. My body is not so weak as to collapse easily, so please don’t worry.” “I see. You don’t need to force any large-scale expansion, okay? For now, it’s fine to focus on expanding throughout the Central Continent.” Hearing Kousuke’s caring words, the others also smiled. Since Razek Amamiya took control of the Northern Town, a Teleport Gate had already been installed there. In the Central Continent, Crown had effectively expanded its reach to almost all cities. Furthermore, over the past decade, in areas outside of the towns and villages that were part of the Northern Town’s territory, adventurers of a certain rank or higher were even considered illicit if they were not affiliated with Crown. Initially, when Crown was established, some adventurers showed aversion to being bound by contracts unlike any other. However, once they realized that this was instead earning them the trust of residents other than adventurers, the change was rapid.
Over the past decade, the number of Divine Power Engravers had also increased. The current Divine Power Engravers, after continuous improvements, could be activated simply by replenishing their magic power, and were therefore deemed operational, leading to the production of a certain number. The fact that Divine Power was used for their Status and communication functions remained unchanged. Now, Divine Power Engravers were installed in towns of a certain size. This eliminated the need to travel all the way to Amamiya Tower, which also contributed to the increase in adventurer recruitment. Of course, they were strictly managed to prevent theft or on-site analysis. However, the fact that the crucial part operated using Divine Power meant that analysis was likely difficult. In fact, in the last ten years, no organization or nation other than Crown had succeeded in creating a magic tool capable of displaying status. To be precise, the Divine Power Engraver is not a “magic” tool, but sometimes tools using Divine Power are referred to as magic tools, so everything that moves with mysterious power is collectively called a magic tool.
“Well then, shall we begin discussing the training school?” Kousuke and the others simply refer to Crown’s vocational training grounds as a “training school.” It became fixed after Kousuke, out of convenience, said “training school” at first. It was, in fact, a place for training to operate within Crown, so it was not incorrect. Since no one bothered to correct it, it remained as is. “Understood.” “Well, speaking of which, we intend to proceed according to what was previously decided, so there are no new reports today,” Wahid said with a slight bitter smile. Discussions regarding the training school had been held many times, and it was now at a stage where all that remained was its establishment. The reason for gathering today was, in part, wanting to see everyone’s faces after a long time.
However, another reason for holding the meeting today was voiced by Wahid. “I only heard a brief explanation from Kousuke secondhand, so if possible, I would like it explained here.” “Of course. Your Majesty the Queen.” Today, Floria and Alec had joined the usual members. Even though Crown was, in principle, an organization separate from the nation, some explanation was necessary when people and money were involved. If the training school were to be established as a branch in the Sumit Kingdom, they would have explained it to their royal family. Despite the connection through Kousuke, it was not something they could start without explanation. Preparatory groundwork is always necessary.
Floria nodded after receiving a general explanation from Wahid and the others. “So, in essence, it’s about gathering those who aspire to that profession and providing them with initial education, is that right?” As expected, Floria, who had devoted herself to establishing public education as queen, grasped the concept quickly. “That is correct.” “I see. …Hey, Kousuke. Why didn’t you leave it to the country’s schools?” She seemed to not understand why Crown was creating something similar when Razek Amamiya was already building schools. “No, the content they teach is different from the start.” Kousuke had a clear distinction, but to Floria, who thought of it all as education, it looked the same. “Is that so?” “Yes. Besides, aren’t the current schools places for nobles to learn social etiquette? Do you think adventurers need such things?” High-ranking adventurers would encounter nobles more often. However, such individuals were only a handful. The training school that Crown was building was not for them. Of course, they would teach basic literacy and arithmetic, but it was not mandatory. “I see.” After Kousuke’s explanation, Floria completely understood that the roles were different.
“Well, I think it’s possible to create something like a knight training school based on Crown’s achievements in the future… Perhaps it would be called a subjugation force (?), training school here?” To her surprise, there wasn’t even a knight training school in this world. Like magic, such skills were generally passed down from parent to child, or from master to disciple. Then, upon reaching a certain age, they would become training soldiers and be taught how to act as an organization. What Kousuke proposed was to add specialized courses for civil officials and military personnel to the existing schools. Hearing this, Floria listened with a fully queen-like expression. Kousuke thought he had made such a proposal before, but perhaps she hadn’t understood or had missed it. Now that the concept of schools had taken some form, it might be easier to imagine. Kousuke thought that a knight school might be established soon as well. And so, that was the vocational training school from Crown’s side. Inadvertently, Floria stole the show lol. The fact that the calling of knight school or knight training school is not fixed in the text is because it has not been definitively decided. Given the way Floria heard it, it will likely be established within a few years. In Razek Amamiya’s case, it’s the subjugation force, not knights. (It might be acceptable to call them knights.)
