After finishing their talk at the Lily Shrine, Kousuke immediately returned to the management layer and installed three shrines.
Yuri, following instructions, ensured the locations were situated on the ley lines connected to the Lily Shrine.
In terms of direction, one shrine was placed to the north, one to the southeast, and one to the southwest of the Lily Shrine.
Incidentally, if the three shrines, excluding the Lily Shrine, were connected by lines, they would form an equilateral triangle.
The Lily Shrine ended up being the exact center of the three shrines.
This would be the only time Kousuke would use the tower’s functions to interfere with the 8th Floor.
After this, Yuri would use the ley lines to channel her power and adjust them to become a part of herself.
However, it was said that it would take about half a month for the power to stabilize within the structures, and during that time, the three shrines were temporarily off-limits.
Yuri had mentioned that if any beings were active inside the buildings, it would take longer for the power to stabilize, which led to this policy.
While Eri and the others likely wouldn’t intrude, the problem lay with the foxes on the 8th Floor.
Kousuke conveyed to them, through Wanri, not to enter the shrines. At the same time, as a precaution, he reinforced the barrier he had created so that no one could enter.
With the newly created shrines entrusted to Yuri, Kousuke decided to hold discussions with those who would be involved with the shrines from now on.
Specifically, he planned to meet with the five people Kousuke had granted blessings to who would actually be purifying the shrines (Kokoro, Ririka, Sarasa, Cecil, and Arisa), along with Gazeran and Schmidt, and of course, Towa.
The reason Towa was called was regarding the temple established on the 5th Floor, as there was something Kousuke wanted her to do.
This was the first time in a while that Kousuke had summoned people to the management layer, so everyone except Cecil and Arisa, who were aware of the situation, was surprised and wondered what was happening.
Kousuke looked around at their faces and started speaking with a bitter smile.
“It’s not that big of a deal, so you don’t need to be so tense.”
Seeing Kousuke speak in such a light tone, the assembled individuals relaxed their posture slightly.
However, they didn’t completely let their guard down, likely due to Kousuke’s past unpredictable actions.
Kousuke, noticing this, deliberately feigned ignorance and looked at Silvia.
Silvia, meeting Kousuke’s gaze, nodded once and began to explain the current plan.
Silvia was chosen to speak because she was the mastermind behind the plan.
“I’ve already spoken with Cecil and Arisa, but a minor alteration is about to take place on a certain floor of Amamiya Tower.”
With that preamble, Silvia explained the plan to add three shrines to the 8th Floor.
She kept the exact floor vague to prevent the location of the shrines from being identified.
“…And so, three shrines will be added all at once. We intend to entrust their management to Ririka, Sarasa, Cecil, and Arisa.”
“I see,” Gazeran nodded, sensing the reason for his summons.
Sarasa, Cecil, and Arisa were all involved with the Adventurer Division.
Although Kousuke would be their master as they were slaves, Gazeran needed to be informed to maintain proper procedure.
“Just to confirm, is it alright to transfer the three of them?”
Kousuke’s question was met with a moment’s thought from Gazeran.
“Well, I will need to confirm with Sarasa, but it’s likely not a problem. As for Cecil and Arisa, they can be reassigned to other adventurers, so there should be no significant issues.”
Upon hearing Gazeran’s answer, Cecil and Arisa showed expressions of relief.
They were relieved that the answer was not different from what they had discussed at the Lily Shrine.
“Regarding Sarasa, there’s no immediate action required. Unlike Cecil and Arisa, I intend for her to serve concurrently with Ririka.”
“Concurrently…?” Sarasa tilted her head. Kousuke nodded and added.
“Yes. Sarasa also has the responsibility of managing the villa on the 5th Floor. Furthermore, Ririka has her regular duties as a shrine maiden.”
“I’ll explain the detailed duties later, but essentially, it shouldn’t become too busy. For now, please understand that your affiliation is changing.” Silvia added more to Kousuke’s explanation.
The task of thoroughly purifying the newly added three shrines, much like the original Lily Shrine, would fall to the foxes that can shapeshift. Sarasa and the others would be supporting them.
Since the newly installed shrines required Yuri’s power stabilization process, Sarasa and the others wouldn’t need to act immediately.
However, as they couldn’t simply pull them away without notice, Gazeran had been summoned to inform him beforehand.
“So, why was I called here?” Towa asked once the conversation had reached a certain point.
The preceding discussion was solely about personnel transfers, and there was no apparent reason for Towa’s presence.
Silvia nodded at Towa’s question and began to elaborate on the future plans.
“For the time being, we plan to continue managing them in their current state, but once the shrines are in better condition, we intend to invite people.”
“So, you mean…?” Towa blinked in surprise. Silvia nodded again.
“Yes. We intend to establish the Lily Shinto Shrine by designating the Lily Shrine in the center as the inner sanctuary and the other three shrines as the outer sanctuaries, with the Avatar as the main deity.”
What Silvia said meant replacing the casually placed shrines on the 5th Floor with the collection of shrines on the 8th Floor, dedicating them to Kousuke and the other three great gods.
Kokoro, who was the first to grasp the intention, looked between Kousuke and Silvia with a surprised expression.
“…So, you mean you’ll be bringing in priests and shrine maidens, who haven’t existed until now, to properly establish a church?”
Although phrased as a question, Kokoro’s tone suggested she was already convinced.
Hearing Kokoro’s words, everyone else also wore expressions of surprise.
Until now, the only temple dedicated to Kousuke was on the 5th Floor, and it had not been managed by priests or shrine maidens.
This was partly due to a desire to avoid the influence of other temples, but more importantly, Kousuke had not required it.
While that remained unchanged, Kousuke had some thoughts after talking with the members of Flame Wolf the other day.
Silvia, as if speaking Kousuke’s thoughts, nodded and replied.
“That’s right. More precisely, we plan to assign priests and shrine maidens that you will train in the future. With that in place, we intend to invite ordinary people as well.”
“…That sounds like it will take a considerable amount of time…” Kokoro said, her eyes darting slightly. Silvia chuckled softly.
“This is a plan for the distant future. However, it’s probably best to inform you of such a plan, wouldn’t you agree?” Silvia said, turning her gaze to Towa.
Towa nodded in agreement.
“So that’s what it is. That means you intend to connect them with a Teleport Gate?”
“That’s correct.”
The management of Teleport Gates was nominally under Razek Amamiya, which was why Towa had been summoned for preliminary adjustments.
Incidentally, Schmidt was also called for the same reason.
In the long run, they were considering turning the Lily Shinto Shrine into a tourist attraction, similar to Mikusen’s three temples.
What Silvia had explained was still uncertain, as it was unknown whether Kokoro’s disciples would properly develop. Kousuke, who had never seriously attempted to build a temple before, had agreed to Silvia’s plan this time due to his feelings for Kokoro and his recent interactions with Flame Wolf.
While the final form remained to be seen, it at least met the minimum criteria for increasing Yuri’s power.
Kousuke, for his part, felt he could only entrust the rest to the flow of events as usual.
The Lily Shrine has been renamed the Lily Shinto Shrine.
However, the original Lily Shrine remains as the Lily Shrine.
The Lily Shinto Shrine refers to all the shrines and the surrounding area collectively.
