Chapter Fifteen: Lodging
“It’s not easy to get it.”
Yifu walked out of the resplendent Imperial Palace with Leia, sighing as she walked.
Before leaving, the maid hurriedly caught up with her and left a key with Yifu.
She said it was her personal help to Yifu, after all, Her Highness the Princess had instructed her to take care of Yifu whenever possible.
If there was a way to help, she should never refuse, and if she could take the initiative, she should never wait for Yifu to speak up.
Looking at the key handed over by the maid, whose expression was somewhat cold, Yifu was a bit confused about her intent.
“This key?”
“It’s for an idle room on a street near the Church Academy. Although it’s not very large, the living facilities are quite complete.”
“You two can stay there temporarily, and return it to me when you find a more permanent place.”
The maid’s tone was calm, as if nothing could disturb her wooden-like, unshakeable emotions.
Yifu looked at the label on the key, which indeed indicated an address near the Church Academy.
“I see, thank you so much. I really don’t know how to express my gratitude…”
“You’re welcome.”
Seeing that Yifu accepted the key, the maid didn’t give her a chance to politely thank her, slightly nodded and turned to leave.
Yifu was left standing there, staring at the gradually fading elegant figure, feeling bewildered.
This key indeed provided significant help to Yifu; otherwise, she would probably have to sleep outside with Leia tonight without a penny to her name.
Having a place to stay is good; at least she can sort out her current chaotic situation and then set a direction and goal.
The beautiful Iceberg Beauty maid, although speaking very little, was quite considerate.
Leia still held a small snack basket gifted by her, filled with plenty of bread and snacks, all things Leia liked to eat.
The maid fulfilled Her Highness the Princess’s orders to take Leia for snacks, not asking a single question the entire time, just continuously serving Leia one helping of snacks after another.
Then, based on which snacks Leia ate more of, she gauged Leia’s preferences, and in the end, packed a large amount for her before she left.
“This big sister is so strange, but unexpectedly easy to get along with.”
Leia whispered to Yifu, leaning against her.
“What do you mean by not easy to get it?”
Leia looked up with a curious expression, sensitive to Yifu’s sighs.
“Nothing, just some small matters. Here, take this, and tomorrow you can bring it to the teachers at the Church Academy. No one will stop you from graduating.”
Yifu smiled as she handed the recommendation letter to Leia, who cherished the heavy envelope as if it were a treasure.
For her, nothing was more exciting than graduating smoothly from the Church Academy.
“Really?”
“Of course it’s true… Are you scared?”
Yifu noticed that Leia’s petite body was unconsciously shaking.
“No, I’m excited, it’s like a dream.”
Leia looked at the recommendation letter from different angles, and soon, tears as big as beans began to slide down her cheeks.
She hurriedly hugged the recommendation letter, fearing her tears would stain this hard-earned document.
“Forget it, I’ll accompany you tomorrow.”
Yifu was worried they would trouble the child again.
“Okay!”
“And one more thing, from now on, we are mother and daughter. To avoid any slip-ups, you have to call me ‘Mom’ in front of others.”
Yifu cautiously looked at Leia beside her, uncertain if she would agree…
