Chapter 24: Problem Solving
“Give it a try.”
Qianzhi said lightly, then focused her attention on the breakfast in front of her.
She didn’t waste any of the breakfast made by Yifu, finishing it completely. After eating, she even touched her slightly swollen abdomen, revealing a look of lingering desire mixed with a hint of guilt.
Recently, Qianzhi had been trying to diet and lose weight. Although her figure was nearly perfect, she still felt something was lacking.
Especially after seeing Yifu’s nearly perfect weight and height ratio, she was even more determined to reach the same level as Yifu…
However, sadly, on her dieting journey, there was an irresistible obstacle: the meals prepared by Yifu.
Also, the cookies that Yifu gave her yesterday kept lingering in Qianzhi’s mind, and even when she was asleep, she couldn’t stop thinking about their sweet and crispy taste. She initially planned to save some to savor later, but in the end, she devoured them all one after another.
There was no way; she completely couldn’t refuse the taste that Yifu made.
After breakfast, Yifu tidied up a bit and then took the two of them out the door.
Qianzhi remained silent, and Leia, feeling nervous, also didn’t say anything.
Before leaving, Yifu made sure to stop by the apartment management office to submit her job application form.
Although Yifu kept saying that filling in her expected salary too high wouldn’t be good, she ultimately couldn’t resist Qianzhi’s repeated insistence and really filled in the high salary of ten silver coins per week.
After all, Yifu had no expectations for this; whether successful or not, it didn’t hold much meaning for her.
In the end, whether the salary was high and she couldn’t get hired or low and it was like not getting hired at all, there wasn’t much difference between the two.
Filling in a high salary of ten silver coins was merely a test for Yifu, and the chances of success were very low…
What confused Yifu was that when she submitted her application to the management office, the staff, who were originally very lazy, suddenly changed their attitude, not only warmly receiving Yifu but even praising the detailed nature of her application form.
It was the most detailed application form she had ever seen…
But Yifu had only filled in the basic information; she hadn’t even filled in any special skills, leaving glaring blanks.
In comparison, the applications on the desk and in the trash can were much more detailed than what Yifu had filled out.
Though Yifu found this strange, she didn’t think much of it. After all, there were important matters to attend to.
Maybe the staff at the management office were just in a good mood today and complimented her a bit more.
Walking on the way to the Church Academy, the trio of Qianzhi, Yifu, and Leia attracted a lot of attention, almost every two steps they took garnering several gazes.
Even a scene like something out of a comic happened; some people became so engrossed in looking at them that they bumped directly into a flower bed by the roadside.
The three of them didn’t speak along the way, and the atmosphere was filled with a sense of seriousness.
When they reached the entrance of the Church Academy, Qianzhi stopped to say goodbye to Yifu.
She was going to the library, while Yifu was heading to the Dean’s office, which was in another direction.
After parting with Qianzhi, Leia, who was beside Yifu, finally spoke up…
“Mother, I think I know where I’ve seen Sister Qianzhi before.”
“Oh? Where is that?”
Yifu was preoccupied with thoughts about standing up for Leia, her response somewhat absent-minded.
“Here…”
Leia pointed to the prominent notice board at the entrance of the academy.
On that notice board were two glaring announcements, one was Leia’s, criticizing her for cutting class without reason…
The other was Qianzhi’s…
