Chapter Sixty-Three: Apology, Must Apologize
“Training, are we?”
The Empress’s voice was cold yet oppressive. She casually swept her gaze over the few people present, and not a single one of them dared to meet her eyes.
Cherillian also noticed that there were not many familiar faces among those present. Even those who were familiar only had ties to the Imperial Royal Family through their parents.
Cherillian herself did not recognize any of them.
“Yes, Your Majesty. This matter has been taken very seriously by the academy, even the Pope himself has personally inquired about it. As the Dean, I must naturally lead by example.”
“This time, it is indeed my mismanagement as the Dean…”
Listening to the Dean’s flattering remarks, Yifu beside her felt her ears tingle.
She recalled how the Dean had been overly obsequious the last time she was here… No, today’s flattery seemed even more pronounced.
Perhaps it was because they were facing the Empress.
“Alright, I understand you are innocent. I will only hold the responsible parties accountable for this matter. However, if there is a next time…”
“Rest assured! There will definitely not be a next time. The mastermind behind this incident is a student named Long Bo, and the others were led astray by him.”
“The academy’s punitive measures are as follows: everyone involved will receive a notice of criticism, and this will be recorded in their files. Additionally, the mastermind Long Bo will be expelled from the Church Academy and will never be readmitted.”
Yifu listened quietly. The so-called Long Bo was Long Aotian, the male protagonist. He had some emotional intelligence and strength but lacked connections. Usually, he relied on forming cliques, and now that things had escalated, he would naturally be pushed forward to take the blame.
After all, he didn’t have good parents.
Hearing the Dean’s handling methods, Cherillian’s serious expression showed no particular reaction.
Clearly, she was not particularly satisfied with this decision.
Yet the Dean, being the Dean, quickly sensed the change in the Empress’s expression and hurriedly continued to add.
“Furthermore, an apology is essential. All involved parties will be delayed in their graduation and have their honors and scholarships revoked.”
“The issue regarding Leia’s scholarship, which was previously affected by misunderstandings, has also been resolved. A total of three gold coins have already been provided here.”
Listening to the Dean’s words, Cherillian finally showed a slight easing of her expression.
Her cold gaze swept over the injured students, and even her heart could not help but feel a bit surprised.
Then she looked at the timid little girl hiding behind Yifu.
That delicate appearance made it seem unlikely that she could actually take on so many people at once.
These boys were physically stronger than Leia and there were quite a few of them…
It was obvious who would have the upper hand.
But the reality was… Leia ended up beating all of them, with those who managed to run away still having bruises all over. Those who couldn’t escape were basically left with broken arms and legs.
But they deserved it; so many boys bullying a weak little girl, they really had no shame.
The most crucial part was they didn’t even win, how embarrassing! They truly brought shame to the Church Academy and the Empire!
However, when it came down to it, it couldn’t be said that these boys were weak; it was just that Leia was too strong. After all, those who could enter the Church Academy, even with backgrounds, still had to have good fundamentals.
So, the children who could attend the Church Academy were already at a magic level that surpassed over 90% of ordinary people in the entire Empire.
They could be considered some of the best in strength, but it was evident that Leia was even stronger.
This was one of the reasons Cherillian was willing to stand up for Leia, not only because she was Yifu’s daughter, but also because she saw potential in Leia.
“An apology is warranted, but the little girl was also quite scared. Shouldn’t there be some compensation for emotional damages?”
Cherillian’s words left the Dean momentarily stunned.
She looked at the elegantly dressed Leia and then at the disheveled, battered rich kids.
Who exactly was the one scared…
However, since the Empress had made her wishes clear, there was no choice but to comply.
“Yes, that makes sense. The Empress really is considerate; my thoughts cannot compare to her.”
“Compensation! It must be compensated! I will take charge—one gold coin per person. Plus, a sincere apology…”
“Your Majesty, they are just children, and they are also students of the academy. There will be opportunities for cooperation in various fields across the Empire in the future, so let’s not make it too difficult.”
There were at least a dozen boys who had bullied Leia, and in the blink of an eye, that meant a dozen gold coins.
Leia blinked in surprise as she listened. How could hitting people also earn money?
