Chapter Sixty-Seven: Her Highness the Princess is Quite Adorable
“Do you still know the little girl from the Loren Family?”
Standing next to Yifu, Alice looked at Qianzhi, who was cheerfully waving at them, feeling a bit surprised.
It should be noted that the little girl from the Loren Family usually acted quite aloof whenever she saw Alice in the Imperial Palace, only greeting her respectfully without saying much else.
Even in Alice’s eyes, Qianzhi was a person of great depth, always maintaining a cool demeanor no matter the occasion.
“The Loren Family… you mean Qianzhi? She lives next door to me and is classmates with Leia. It’s tough living alone, so when I’m free, I often cook and invite her over to eat.”
“We got familiar over time.”
Listening to Yifu, Alice’s eyes clearly brightened a bit differently.
“You can cook?”
Alice and Qianzhi weren’t very close, so she wasn’t too concerned about Yifu’s relationship with her. She was just surprised that two such reserved individuals could actually become friends.
Although Alice wasn’t close with Qianzhi, her mother Cherillian had a relatively good relationship with Qianzhi’s aunt, who was also the head of the Loren Family.
“I can cook a little.”
Yifu maintained her modest demeanor.
It was precisely this humble and accommodating nature that made Alice so captivated by her.
Clearly the most perfect person, yet more humble than anyone else. Who wouldn’t love such a Yifu?
“Every time you say you can cook a little, just like Leia’s dress, even my mother, who has such high standards, couldn’t help but praise it.”
“Is that just a little? So when will you come and cook a meal for me?”
Alice genuinely wanted to taste Yifu’s cooking; she had never tried any of Yifu’s dishes before.
However, this was Alice we’re talking about. If she were truly that simple, she wouldn’t be called Alice.
“Are you expecting me to wear a body apron, teasing you with a tambourine while cooking a lavish dinner for you?”
“Don’t even think about it.”
Yifu saw right through Alice’s thoughts and readily exposed them.
This left Alice quite embarrassed, her delicate face flushing slightly.
It wasn’t that she was shy, but rather that Yifu had perfectly predicted her intentions, completing her lines, leaving Alice at a loss for how to retort.
Her face was burning bright…
“I… I didn’t. I’m a princess; don’t say such things. You’re slandering me…”
The more Alice spoke, the more nervous she became, making things worse.
Seeing Yifu’s utterly distrustful gaze, she finally gave in and simply declared.
“I just want to see you in a body apron; what’s wrong with that?”
Just like a little flaw in a dish made by a chef, Alice’s slip was completely exposed to Yifu’s keen insight.
“Ahem, the ceremony is about to begin. I need to go on stage and give a speech, and once this boring speech is over, it will be time for the graduation ball.”
“Miss Yifu, you know what to do, right?”
Alice cleared her throat and swiftly moved past the awkward topic.
However, the thought of a body apron had already planted a seed in her heart.
“I know, I’ll dance a tune with you. But I don’t have any decent clothes, and with so many people watching, is it really okay?”
Yifu was a bit worried. Although Alice seemed like a total weirdo in her eyes, to the outside world, she was still that dignified Princess Alice.
The future heir of the Imperial Royal Family, the gentle and poised princess.
“What’s wrong with that? You promised me.”
Alice pouted slightly, and one couldn’t help but say she looked quite adorable.
“Alright, I’ll wait for you here.”
Yifu nodded. Since Alice said nothing further, what else could she say?
“It is a great honor for us to have Her Highness the Princess at this graduation ceremony of the Church Academy. Let us give the warmest applause to welcome Her Highness to the stage to bless the graduates.”
Hearing the voice of the Dean from the stage, Alice’s expression returned to the dignified demeanor she usually had.
“It’s my turn now; wait for me to come back, dear.”
She gently lifted the hem of her dress, and before turning to walk onto the stage, she cheekily blew Yifu a charming kiss.
Watching Alice’s elegant silhouette, and the admiring yet solemn gazes of everyone present aimed at the princess.
Yifu couldn’t help but sigh softly.
Who would know that the lofty princess of the Empire was actually a little girl with such a stark contrast behind the scenes?
Looking at the composed Alice on stage, the content she spoke did carry a hint of boredom, but Yifu still couldn’t take her eyes off her.
Not for any other reason, but to appreciate the normal side of Alice.
One must admit, the Princess wasn’t bad at all when she wasn’t being a diva.
But just as Yifu was busy admiring Alice’s beautiful face, Vivian, at some point, had appeared beside Yifu.
“Um…”
