“Did you kill my servants?” He seemed puzzled why a little girl could achieve such a feat. Was it all done by Alna? Impossible, her remaining strength was insufficient to defeat the leaders and the Wolf King. He disregarded the Gray Wolf entirely.
“That’s right.” Starry replied, taking a fighting stance, ready to face any incoming attack.
“It was all me, and they had nothing to do with it. Let them go,” Alna said in a deep voice.
“Interesting, even as one of the undead, you still protect humans… Do you know that the Empire has long abandoned you?”
“…Impossible, they are here to find me… My brother hasn’t given up on me yet.” Alna’s voice was filled with longing.
“Hahahahaha” The mysterious man laughed wildly.
“Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!” It seemed he laughed until tears were about to come out.
“Alna! …You still don’t realize you’ve been deceived!!”
“What!?” Alna was confused.
“This little girl and that Gray Wolf were not sent by anyone at all! They fell into a trap to get here. Who would delegate an exploration task to such two little ones?!”
“…” Starry momentarily did not know how to respond.
“Is that so…?” Alna softly asked, secretly hoping the truth was as she imagined.
