The next morning, Kent woke up. Beside him, Caro was sleeping soundly, still naked. They had both worked hard late into the night for Al’s magic replenishment. As for Al, well…
“Master! So much magic… I can’t eat it all!”
Al said in his sleep, still sleeping contently next to Kent. And for some reason, he was naked. His chest was flat, but two prominent bumps caught Kent’s eye. On the other side, Caro had similar ones.
“If we compare them, I think Caro’s are a little bigger.”
Caro, with her subtly fuller chest, won the comparison.
“Master, what are you comparing? I know you like bigger ones, but you don’t have to say it out loud!”
“Whoa!”
Kent was surprised by the sudden voice. It seemed Al had woken up due to Kent’s mumbling.
“Besides, if I wanted to make them bigger, I could! Like this?”
Suddenly, a soft sensation spread to Kent, and he realized it was Al’s chest growing bigger. However, Kent thought that a small body couldn’t possibly have such large breasts.
“You understand the importance of balance, don’t you?”
“…Yes.”
Kent had to agree with Al. Then, as if just as quickly, Al’s chest returned to its usual flat state.
“Good morning, Kent.”
“Ah, good morning, Caro. Did I wake you?”
“No, it’s almost time to wake up, so it’s fine.”
Caro also woke up, and while waiting for the breakfast call, Kent and the others got ready.
It seemed breakfast was ready, and Berna came to call them to the hut where Kent and his companions were staying. They decided to have breakfast together with Berna’s family.
“Kent, Caro, what are your plans for today?”
Berna asked Kent and his companions about their plans for the day.
“We’re planning to go to the farmlands today.”
“What will you be doing at the farmlands?”
Kent replied, and Berna asked further.
“Actually, we were asked by someone to reform the farmlands, and the three of us will be helping.”
“Is that so? Could that someone be the Deputy Lord?”
“…Y-yes.”
“So, Kent and the others have met the Deputy Lord? What kind of person were they?”

With the personnel secured, Kent, Caro, and Al headed to the farmlands.

Caro said, looking out over the fields. The last time they visited, the harvest was near, and fields of golden wheat stretched out as far as the eye could see. But now that the harvest was over, weeds had grown all over.
“It seems it’s been left as it is since the wheat harvest.”
Kent remarked as he surveyed the condition of the fields. Due to the previous Lord’s policies, wheat had been cultivated on all the farmlands, creating an extremely unbalanced food situation. Kent believed that until this was improved, the problems regarding the food situation and the territory’s income would not be resolved.
“Master. For now, is it okay to just wilt these weeds?”
“Even if we were to cut them by hand, it’s too vast. It would be a tremendous amount of work.”
“Then I’ll just wilt them all!”
“Huh?”
Kent, judging that manual weeding would be difficult, intended to purchase a mower from the terminal and have the farmers help with the weeding. He had also considered herbicides, but for health reasons, he wanted to minimize their use on the farmland. Moreover, the cost would be considerable if he were to use them on such a vast area. However, Al was about to solve the problem from a different angle.

As Al shouted, all the weeds in the farmland withered in an instant.
“Al-chan is amazing!”
Caro exclaimed in surprise, witnessing the sight.
“Hmph! For me, weeds are easily eliminated!”
Al said, sweating and looking strained.
“Hey, don’t overdo it. But thank you.”
“Master praised me.”
Al said joyfully when Kent spoke.
“Alright, Al, you can rest here for a while. I and Caro will go scout the farmlands.”
“Yes, I think I’ll be able to move again in a little while, so I’ll rest.”
Al rested in the shade of a tree at the edge of the farmland, and Kent and Caro proceeded further in.
“Even so, the weeding has been done so cleanly.”

Normally, Al used his magic for trivial matters, so they didn’t feel it was particularly amazing. But seeing his work this time, they were reminded anew of Al’s power. Caro also hesitated for a moment, considering that it was in broad daylight outside, but seemed to decide it would be fine.
“If that’s settled, please proceed.”
And so, Kent and Caro found themselves doing it outside for the first time.
“Um, excuse me for interrupting.”
“Whoa!”
“Kyaa!!”
After that, the two became intensely absorbed, and some time had passed. The Mayor approached them apologetically. They had been completely lost in their own world and were startled by the Mayor’s approach, not noticing him.
A little distance away, farmers had gathered and were watching with lukewarm expressions. The Mayor, realizing that Kent and Caro were intensely engaged outside, had the farmers wait and came to call them alone. Al said gleefully when Kent spoke.
“Alright, Al, you can rest here for a while. Caro and I will go scout the farmlands.”
“Yes, I should be able to move again in a short while, so I’ll rest here.”

“It’s good to see a couple so close.”
“Youth is wonderful.”
“When I was young, my wife and I used to sneak in a session during breaks from farm work.”
The farmers, unaware of the details, muttered amongst themselves. Caro, overhearing them, straightened her clothes, her face flushing scarlet with embarrassment. The Mayor watched her, breaking into a cold sweat.
“Oh, you folks are from that time… Thanks for your help back then.”
Kent and the farmers had met during the bird damage control efforts, so they quickly felt comfortable with each other. Everyone was grateful to Kent for the successful wheat harvest.
“Now, as for why everyone was gathered here… I intended for you to perform the weeding of the farmlands, but as you can see, the work has already been completed…”

“But is it alright to change the crops without the Lord’s permission?”
“Yes, that’s right.”
The farmers seemed concerned about potential repercussions for altering the crops unilaterally.
“That’s fine. The Deputy Lord has given permission, so you can rest assured.”
