“What will you do from now on, Kent?”
“I haven’t decided anything in particular?”
Elnet asked Kent as they left Josette’s wing. Since Kent had no specific plans for after that, he told Elnet exactly that.
“I see. Then won’t you come to my place? Why don’t we spend some time relaxing over dinner?”
“Understood. Well then, I’ll be intruding.”
Invited to dinner by Elnet, Kent decided to head towards the annex assigned to Elnet.
“Oh, Young Lady. Welcome back. … Excuse me for a moment. Everyone, the Young Lady has returned.”
A young maid, who happened to be cleaning the entrance hall, was surprised by her mistress’s sudden return and called for help. Then, a flurry of footsteps could be heard.

By the time they came into Kent and his companions’ sight, they were walking, but it was clear they had run at full speed unseen. The servants who had gathered in the hall were breathing heavily. Despite moving their shoulders significantly, the servants lined up and greeted their mistress.
“I’m sorry for returning so suddenly. I plan to have dinner here with Kent from now on, can you prepare it?”
“Th-that is… *pant pant*. We currently don’t have any ingredients suitable for the Young Lady, so preparing… *pant pant*.”
“A-alright, but please catch your breath first. I’d be in a bind if you were to collapse.”
It seemed they had rushed a lot. The elderly butler, whose breathing was still ragged, looked as if he was about to collapse, so Elnet hurriedly stopped the conversation.
“In that case, I’ll prepare tonight’s dinner. Kent, could you also help me?”
“Understood.”
“Well then, we’ll be using the kitchen. Don’t worry about us, please return to your respective duties.”

After sending the servants back to their tasks, Kent and Elnet headed to the kitchen.
“Now then, what ingredients do we have left?”
Elnet rummaged through the kitchen’s pantry. Since the butler had said there were no ingredients, Elnet didn’t seem to have much hope.
“Well, we don’t usually eat here, so it’s understandable that there’s nothing.”
She found a few ingredients, but they were meant for the servants’ meals, so Elnet didn’t touch them.
“Kent, I’m sorry, but could you handle ordering some ingredients?”
“That’s the least I can do, but what do you need?”
“Let’s see… Then, this, and this, and…”
They sat side-by-side on a long bench in the kitchen, listening to Elnet’s requests while looking at the screen of a terminal they had brought out, and placed the ingredient order.
“There’s no defrosting equipment here, so we’ll have to thaw them naturally. In the meantime, I’ll go change. Could you wait for a moment?”
“Understood. I’ll wait.”
Due to restrictions, Kent could only order items that were not fresh from the terminal, limited to canned or frozen goods. Most of the items they ordered this time were frozen, so they needed to be defrosted. Normally, they would use a microwave, but this kitchen didn’t have such equipment, so they had no choice but to let them thaw naturally. Kent looked at the frozen ingredients they had ordered and waited for Elnet to return.
“Sorry to keep you waiting.”
“Welcome back, but what on earth are you wearing?”

Kent was surprised by Elnet’s appearance when she returned after a while.
“Is this outfit strange?”

The rhythmic sound of Elnet’s knife was very soothing to Kent.

Elnet, sensing Kent’s gaze, stopped chopping and asked.
“I was just thinking you have beautiful knife skills. I think you’d make a good wife.”
“A good wife? You say it like it’s someone else’s business, but I’m the one who’s going to be Kent’s wife?”

Elnet answered with a displeased tone when Kent said something so commonplace. Indeed, given their engagement, he realized that this was how things would proceed.

In the end, they decided to share the food they couldn’t eat themselves with the servants. That night, the servants seemed to enjoy a slightly more luxurious meal than usual.

Since she couldn’t stay in the bare apron, Elnet changed and, along with Kent, carried the prepared dinner to the dining hall. After dismissing the servants, they enjoyed a private dinner for two.

After finishing dinner and cleaning up, Kent and Elnet went to Elnet’s private room. A basin of hot water and towels were prepared, and a slightly thick sheet had been laid on the bed.

Elnet said with a wry smile, as if the room had been prepared in anticipation of what was to happen next.
“Kent, what happens now?”
“Well, it seems to be heading in that direction.”
As if by a natural progression, the two began to undress each other, moved to the bed, and began to desire each other.
