“Well, what shall we do today?”
Several days had passed, and it was Saturday, a holiday. Kent had no plans for the day, so after breakfast, he was pondering what to do.
“Marie, are you free today?”
“I’m sorry. I have a Flour Union meeting today.”
“I see…”
He had called out to Marie, who was washing dishes in the kitchen, but she seemed to be unavailable today and had declined.
“Al… isn’t here, and Hanako is… not here either.”
He looked for Al and Hanako but couldn’t find them. Involuntarily, he decided to head out into town alone.
“I’m bored, so why not go to the red-light district for the first time in a while.”
Kent ambled in the direction of the red-light district. It was still morning, so there were only a few shops open, but the “Adult shop” where Patty’s mother worked was open. After having been there once before, a commotion had almost broken out when it was discovered I went there. Reflecting on the previous incident, he fought the urge to enter but decided against it this time.
“Hey, Kent. Students shouldn’t be hanging around places like this.”
“Huh?”
Suddenly, Kent was addressed by a woman. Looking to see who it was, he realized it was the knight lady he had encountered the other day. She was wearing distinctive breast armor, so she was probably on duty. Her short, light blue hair suited her, and she exuded an energetic atmosphere.
“It really is Kent. You shouldn’t be here, boy. Even if you’re lonely without a girlfriend, coming to a place like this and getting involved in trouble would be a big problem.”
“It’s not that I don’t have a girlfriend…”
“Yes, yes, we’ll just assume that’s the case.”
She was still a knight who didn’t believe what others said, but he understood that she had approached him out of concern for him wandering around the red-light district.
“Are you on a mission now? I seem to recall hearing that you finished your patrol duty the other day.”
“Ah, you remember well. It’s true that I finished my patrol duty around town the other day, but my formal transfer isn’t until Monday. It just so happened that someone suddenly had to take leave, and since I’m still officially on the books, I was asked to fill in for them on patrol.”
“That sounds tough.”
“Well, I have plans this afternoon, so I’m about to finish my shift.”
The knight replied without showing any signs of fatigue.
“Meeting you here must be fate. Are you free now, Kent?”
“I am free, which is why I was wandering around here. I’m fine until nightfall.”
“It’s worth asking. Would you do me a favor and accompany me for a bit?”
The knight, with an expression as if she had found the perfect person, asked Kent, albeit with a slight hesitation.
“Accompany you? What would we be doing?”
“Well, it’s just that…”
When Kent asked, the knight hesitated, finding it difficult to speak.
“…Actually, I have to attend a party this afternoon, and I was hoping you could accompany me as my partner.”
“A party? You mean one for aristocrats, right?”
“Well, something like that.”
“No, no. There’s no way I, a commoner, could attend an aristocrat’s party.”
Kent, who had been suddenly invited to an aristocrat’s party, immediately tried to refuse.
“Please, it’s shameful for an aristocrat to ask such a thing of a commoner, but could you cooperate, thinking of it as helping someone out? Of course, I’ll compensate you.”
“You seem truly desperate. I don’t know if I can be of help, but I understand.”
Kent relented and agreed to cooperate with the knight’s earnest plea.
“Thank you. Well, I’m finishing up my work now, so I’ll return to the station. Could you come with me?”
Just like last time, he was led by the knight to the knight’s station.
“Oh, is it time to call it a day? Good work. And you’ve brought the same boy from the other day? I’m surprised you, of all people, are being so forward. Going on a date now? Good for you young folks.”
“Senior, yes, he came with me, but it’s not like that. Please don’t tease us.”
“Hahaha. Well then, I’m off for patrol.”
The middle-aged knight who had been there when he was brought here last time chuckled and left for patrol, passing them. It was daytime, so several knights were present in the station.
“Alright, Kent, I’ll go handle the handover now, so please wait a moment.”
“Understood.”
The knight said this and entered a room in the back.
“Sorry to have kept you waiting. Shall we go then?”
After a short while, the knight emerged from the back room.
“So, where are we going now?”
“…You know, since you’ll be my partner from now on, you don’t need to use such formal language. Let’s treat each other like old friends. I’ll speak to you casually as well.”
“Understood… I understand.”
“That’s right, keep up the good work. We’re headed to my mansion. I can’t exactly go to a party in this gear, can I? You’ll also change into some clothes there.”
The knight said this, emphasizing their close relationship.
“I don’t have any clothes for a party.”
“That’s fine. I have some that belonged to my father. From the looks of it, you’re about the same build, so I think they’ll fit without any problem.”
Kent was unsure what kind of clothes would be suitable, but it seemed the knight had it covered. As they talked, Kent and the knight stepped into the aristocrat district.
“This is my mansion.”
“This is it?”
Her mansion was located just after entering the aristocrat district from the commercial district. Unlike the grand mansions Kent had entered before, it felt more like a slightly larger detached house with a spacious garden.
“Hahaha, even though it’s called a noble’s mansion, it’s just the house of a low-ranking, poor aristocrat. Don’t compare it to the mansions of wealthy commoners or middle or upper-class nobles.”
Perhaps noticing Kent’s thoughts, the knight chuckled wryly.
“There’s no one else in the mansion, so feel free to come in.”
“Thank you for having me.”
True to its exterior, the entrance hall was narrow, with doors leading to various rooms attached to it.
“Don’t you have any servants?”
“We don’t have enough money to hire any. Besides, I live here alone.”
“What about your family?”
“My parents have passed away, and I have no siblings. That’s why I inherited this family of knights.”
Although small for a noble’s house, Kent thought it was too large for one person to live in. Perhaps due to a lack of upkeep, the rooms were not thoroughly cleaned, and areas that appeared unused were covered in dust.
“I apologize for the mess. I’ve been busy with work, and I don’t usually entertain guests here, so I’ve become careless. Please wait in this room.”
“Understood.”
Saying this, the knight guided Kent to what appeared to be the drawing room and left the room.
“Are those my parents and the knight?”
In the room, a large painting depicted formally dressed man and woman with a small girl between them. There were no other striking decorative items, so Kent sat on the drawing room sofa to wait for her.
“Sorry to keep you waiting. Please put this on.”
The knight, having removed her gear and changed into noble attire, brought clothes for the party.
“How do I put this on?”
Kent, unsure how to wear it, asked the knight.
“Oh… you don’t know how to put it on? Then I’ll help you. First, take off the clothes you’re wearing.”
“Understood.”
Prompted by the knight, Kent began to undress.
“These are unusual undergarments. Are men’s undergarments for commoners like this?”
Kent finished undressing and was left in just his boxers. Though the outer clothes were from this world, his undergarments were ordered via a terminal. He hadn’t anticipated this situation and realized his mistake after taking off his clothes.
“Y-yes. Commoners wear undergarments like these.”
“Hmm, I see. Still, it has a peculiar pattern…”
“If you keep staring like that…”
Taking advantage of his lack of knowledge, Kent forcefully deflected. Then, looking down, he saw the knight staring curiously at his undergarments. As her gaze intensified, blood began to rush to his lower half.
“Hmm? Is something moving… I guess I should check in case there are any bugs in there.”
“Ah!”
The knight, mistaking his increasingly erect *son* for some kind of bug, pulled down Kent’s undergarments with considerable force. Freed from the resisting cloth, Kent’s *boy* straightened upwards.
“I’m terribly sorry. It seems this was something important to Kent.”
The knight hastily pulled the undergarments back into place.
“So, Kent, I apologize… And that, will it not return to normal?”
“I apologize for taking up your time…”
Kent’s excitement was not subsiding, and his undergarment remained stiff like a tent. The knight apologized apologetically. While Marie or Caro might have used their mouths or rubbed it to calm it down, he couldn’t possibly ask her, whom he had met only for the second time, to do so. He had no choice but to wait for it to subside naturally.
“It fits perfectly, just as I thought.”
After a while, when his lower body had calmed down, Kent tried on the party clothes with the knight’s assistance. The size was perfect, and when he moved, he could do so without any issues.
“Alright, I’ll go change too. I’ll be back shortly, so please wait here a moment.”
The knight, seemingly concerned about the time, hurried out of the room. A loud noise echoed from outside the room, and shortly after, the knight returned, having changed into a dress.
“Sorry to have kept you waiting. Our carriage should be here soon, so we’ll discuss the details on the way.”
As they exited the mansion, a carriage was waiting. They boarded it, and as the coachman closed the door, the carriage slowly departed the mansion.
