This is an irregular side story this time.
“Fufufu.”
“W-What’s wrong, Rachel?”
During lunch break one day, a special team meeting called by Margaret was underway to plan for Valentine’s Day events. Prim, who was in charge, stood at the teacher’s podium in the conference room and was facilitating the meeting. Beside her, Rachel, who was acting as an advisor, let out an eerie laugh. Prim, hearing this, voiced her surprise.
“Ah, it’s been a while since that episode aired,”
Caro, seated in the back of the conference room, heard Rachel’s laugh and understood what was about to happen.
“What episode?”
“I’m curious too.”
Josette and Patty, seated on either side of Caro, asked her when they heard her words.
“Everyone, thank you for asking. Actually, this work, ‘I was reincarnated into the world of an otome game, but it seems I was a background male student with cheat abilities,’ has now exceeded 2 million characters! Yay, *puf puf puf*!”
Rachel produced a trumpet from who knows where and celebrated by herself, blowing into it.
“It’s been 6 long years since the author started writing this, and they were happy to finally reach this point. From my perspective, though, shouldn’t they be able to write more if they’ve spent this much time? But there were times when they struggled, so it’s understandable that the writing speed has had its ups and downs.”
Rachel suddenly began to speak.
“What are you talking about, Rachel?”
“Wh-What’s gotten into you, Rachel?”
“Huh? She suddenly started saying things that make no sense. What’s going on?”
“It’s usual for her, so you can probably just ignore it.”
Josette, Patty, and Prim were surprised because they didn’t understand what Rachel was talking about. However, unlike them, Caro remained unconcerned and composed.
“And so, we’re doing our usual special episode! So, Caro, come on over!”
“Ah, I guess I have to participate too, don’t I?”
Called by Rachel, Caro reluctantly walked towards the podium.
“Didn’t we always do special episodes for milestone reader milestones? Why are we doing one for character count this time? We didn’t do one for one million characters, did we?”
“That’s a good question, Caro. Reaching 2 million characters actually happened a little while ago, and I was debating whether or not to do a special episode. Since we didn’t do one for the 1 million character milestone, I thought we didn’t need one for 2 million either. But since there was a perfect little gap, I decided to fit it in as an irregular one!”
When Caro moved to the podium and asked Rachel, Rachel explained the circumstances behind doing a 2 million character special episode.
“Rachel, what do you mean by ‘irregular’?”
“Well, you see. This is a special episode, but it’s also part of the main story.”
“I don’t understand.”
“Next up will be the Valentine’s Day story, but we need to explain what kind of event it will be. I figured it would flow more smoothly if we explained that ‘this is the kind of event it is’ beforehand rather than detailing it in the main story. The role of this special episode is to provide that explanation.”
Rachel answered Caro’s question.
“So, basically, we’ll explain the outline of the Valentine’s Day event and then just do whatever we want in the usual special episode style.”
“Is it okay to do something like that?”
“Hmm, I suspect we’ll get a lot of scolding in the comments section, but possession is nine-tenths of the law!”
“Is it really okay?”
Caro wore an anxious expression, but Rachel, unconcerned, decided to begin the irregular special episode.
“R-Rachel, may we start the discussion now?”
“Prim is in charge. Let’s do this.”
Prim, who had suddenly changed her demeanor, hesitantly asked Rachel if they could begin the discussion.
“The Principal is absent this time. We will proceed with the discussion among ourselves.”
*Clap, clap, clap, clap*
All participants applauded, and the discussion to decide the content of the Valentine’s Day event began.
“Alright, so regarding the Valentine’s Day event that the Principal proposed last time. It’s where women give food to men to convey their affection. As for the shape of the box, heart-shaped boxes are for conveying affection, and square boxes are for expressing gratitude. Rachel, what size would be appropriate?”
The first agenda item was to decide the size of the boxes. Prim asked Rachel, who was acting as an advisor, what would be best.
“The size will vary depending on what everyone wants to put in and their budget, so how about we prepare about 5 standard sizes for now? I brought some samples, Caro, could you please?”
“Huh? I don’t have anything like that.”
“You’re holding it in your hand.”
“Wh-When did you get that?”
Rachel asked Caro to show the samples. However, Caro replied that she didn’t have anything like that, but when she realized it, she was holding a pink heart-shaped box in her hand.
Rachel took the heart-shaped box from Caro and placed it on the podium. She then opened the lid and revealed a slightly smaller heart-shaped box within. She continued to take out nested heart-shaped boxes, displaying five heart-shaped boxes of different sizes. The unique mechanism elicited cheers from the female students in the conference room.
“I see. Everyone, Advisor Rachel has proposed this. What are your thoughts?”
“It looks good, but such beautiful boxes seem expensive.”
“I think so too.”
“It might be fine for aristocrats or wealthy families, but we, who are struggling financially, might not be able to afford it.”
Among the female students gathered here were some whose families were in business, and some possessed a certain degree of appraisal skills. Seeing the exquisitely crafted boxes, they seemed to judge them as expensive items.
“Caro, it’s your turn.”
“Do I have to?”
“Of course. If you refuse, I’ll show this to everyone.”
Saying that, Rachel took out a rolled-up piece of paper and spread it out in front of everyone.
“Aah! Even though it’s a place with only girls, it’s embarrassing to show this so openly!”
“Fufufu, just in case, I brought Caro’s nipple print from your older brother’s room.”
The paper Rachel showed had two shapes resembling tangerines drawn in ink, with small uninked areas the size of small beans.
“I-I’ll do it! You’re so mean, Rachel!”
“By the way, I brought Josette’s nipple print too.”
“Noooooo!!!”
With Caro reluctantly agreeing, Rachel, as if it were an afterthought, also revealed Josette’s nipple print. Seeing it, Josette let out a near scream.
“Is that Josette-sama’s… It’s so big.”
“Compared to Caro-sama’s… Ah, that was a slip of the tongue.”
“I wish I had breasts that big too.”
“I’m jealous.”
Josette’s breasts were very large. If Caro’s could be compared to tangerines, Josette’s were like watermelons. After comparing Caro’s and Josette’s nipple prints, the participating female students realized the immense size of Josette’s breasts and sighed while comparing them to their own.
“Fufu, this is getting interesting. We’ll continue in this vein.”
“Huh? It’s still going on?”
With Rachel fully motivated, Caro wore an anxious expression, wondering what would happen next.
Although officially a side story, Rachel is running wild again this time. Usually, side stories conclude in a single chapter, but this one will continue (^_^;)
