When we reached the edge of the dome, there was a large magic elevator.
As we all got in, it accelerated upwards. Yeah, it’s incredibly high-performance.
“Isn’t this dome amazing?”
“It’s so sturdy, the outside must be pretty dangerous.”
Meticle responded to Nina and my conversation.
“This city has been destroyed over and over,
and each time it’s been rebuilt larger and stronger. That’s its history.”
“As expected of the third city, with two domes attached like this.”
“It’s because too many people have gathered. If more come, we might get a third.”
But the fact that they can build something like this means…
the rewards from hunting, or rather, the profits must be enormous. Yeah, it’s inspiring.
Clarice then chimed in.
“Isn’t it also because the environment makes it difficult for people to escape elsewhere?”
“Well, going to other cities is expensive in the first place. How did you guys get here?”
This is bad. If I say “Teleport Scroll,” they might look at me suspiciously.
(Although, it perfectly fits the job of a Hero Porter.)

Even Nina decided to keep it a secret.
“…I heard that extremely high-level Illusionists can teleport between cities. Could it be?”
Wow, this Summoner is sharp!
“It’s a secret.” “It’s not entirely wrong, I understand. I won’t pry any further.”
“Um, more importantly, what’s the normal mode of transportation?”
“It’s the Giant Pigeon. They’re giant pigeons specialized in evading enemies.”
Ah, I remember seeing them at the Dragon Arena from Starri Island to the Shamanias Continent.
“Are they that expensive?”
“Unlike dragons, their riding area is small.
So, did you guys come all the way by dragon?”
“W-well…”
As we were talking, we apparently reached the top.
“Alright, this is the observation tower on the top floor of the dome. It’s also an observation deck.”
“Wow, it’s surrounded by forest. Ah, that other dome has the same observation deck!”
“Well, the view doesn’t change much.”
Seeing that, I thought:
Two giant round domes were attached, and from the center of both circles, an indoor observation tower jutted out. In other words…
(Seen from above, it’s completely… a woman’s big, boob—!!!)
“Ah, what is that flock flying there? They look human-shaped.”
“That’s a flock of Giant Succubi and Giant Incubi. They sometimes sunbathe on top of the dome.”
“So we can see them up close?”
“Yes. Ah, don’t worry, this glass doesn’t let people see inside from the outside.”
It is a watchtower, after all.
Ah, on the upper part of the dome on the opposite side,
a section slid open, and a giant pigeon flew out!!
“Whoa, that’s fast! So fast that the Giant Whatever-buses can’t catch up.”
“To prevent ambushes, we have eight entrances and exits.
Even so, sometimes they’re all guarded. In those cases, we have to go up to the dome and subjugate them.”
So that’s the kind of work they do.
“Enemies that can fly seem difficult. Ah, there’s Meticle over there.”
“Also, sometimes a Tamer can tame a Giant Succubus and get help, but feeding them is difficult, in many ways.”
Hmm, if my true identity and abilities were completely revealed,
I might not have any trouble finding work, but I might not be allowed to leave this city?
(Although, with the Teleport Scroll, it’s fine!)
“Hmm, thank you for the guidance. So it’s mostly giant Incubi around here?”
“They stand out, but there are also many plant-type monsters.
And there are regular-sized Ent-Succubi too. They might be easier to tame.”
Oh, En’s companions!
“Um, they can talk, right?”
“If trained, yes. Of course, they’re only easier to tame than Giant Succubi,
and even then, it seems only Special Tamers, those with talent, can do it.”
To recap, the Tamer adventurer profession, like Heroes and Sages,
is a profession some people are born with talent for,
while others, like Swordsmen and Warriors, achieve it through their own effort. What’s being discussed here is the former.
(Maybe I should tame one and release it into the Great Tree.)
And then I just need to throw in a Hero, and it’ll be perfect.
Right, I remembered. While that guy is still alive…
“How was the view outside? We do have a coffee shop here, if you want to grab a late breakfast or an early lunch.”
“No, that’s alright, Lord Meticle. Thank you.”
“Well then, say hello to my Guild Master. If you have any problems, feel free to come to me.”
…Now that I think about it, is it already past breakfast time outside?
Considering Starri Island is in a slightly different time zone, it’s probably around that time.
(When I come here using teleportation, I don’t really feel sleepy.)
And so, from the indoor observation deck at the top of the dome,
we descended by magic elevator…
“Ah, Helen! Say a word!”
“…Husband, an Ent-Succubus size is just barely okay, isn’t it?”
(Huh? What are you talking about?!)
More importantly, what should I talk about when I meet the Guild Master here?
I’d like to go to a Dungeon if there’s one, but it seems like it would be too intense.
