“Yay! Amari can fly this high!”
“I can fly even higher!”
In front of us bounced enormous cloud-shaped trampoline attractions. Even Anju, who could teleport and fly, was playing like a normal child. Yes, the school trampolines were small, so this seemed incredibly fun.
(Shikada and the Princess Sisters were also bouncing happily.)
Seira watched nearby, ready to help Shikada if she took a strangely awkward fall. It seemed I wouldn’t be needed.
(And so, you must be wondering what I was doing…)
I was sitting with Helen, who just BARELY didn’t make the weight limit for the ride, on a large bench, relaxing and leisurely drinking mango juice. You know, the kind where you stick two straws into a big cup for couples? That’s what we were doing!
“Fuu, this is delicious.”
“Yeah, there are fun ways to enjoy an amusement park like this, aren’t there?”
It was a DATE.
“I’d love to come back someday with my husband and our child.”
“That’s right. So, Helen, what do you think of amusement parks?”
“It’s with my husband, so there’s no way it wouldn’t be fun.”
I’m blushing.
“Shopping was fun too.”
“Yes, we bought matching clothes and the bear became a cat.”
That’s right, we upgraded to “normal” in terms of design!
“Derus-kun!” “Helen-saaaan!”
Oh, oh! Anju and Amari are waving to us as they bounce and play. I waved back with Helen. Yes, we look like a couple with two daughters.
(Well, I guess I’m child-sized too!)
“Speaking of which, Helen, did Calendula, your hometown, have amusement parks?”
“We didn’t have anything as grand as this, but we had simple, small amusement parks.”
“Ah, but you’ve been to one then?” “It was more like a safari park.”
That’s right, I remembered it was a country full of beastkin and monsters.
“Would you like to go if there’s an opportunity? With a Teleport Scroll?”
“…I left in a hurry, so…”
“G-gomen! I see. Well, if it’s unavoidable for the route, then by all means.”
Hmm, Helen herself doesn’t really want to go, but if it’s unavoidable for defeating the Seven Great Demon Lords, then she’s fine with it, or rather, she wants me to come.
“Helen, you’ve had a tough time too, haven’t you?”
“Well, I am a Succubus Summoner.”
“Ah, right. Of course.”
That alone gave me a general idea of her situation.
“…But.”
“Yes, Helen?”
“You are the first person to cherish and raise succubi for so long and so well.”
Yes, summoning was originally, or rather, most people treated them as disposable. The Goblin Summoner in the tournament seemed to cherish his, though.
“Well, I cherish my succubi, but I cherish you even more, Helen.”
“My…!!”
“I will cherish you and the succubi, now and forever.”
Finishing our mango juice, Helen leaned against me… Just as we were getting into a nice atmosphere, everyone got off the cloud-shaped amusement ride.
“Ah, Amari, did we interrupt?”
“Derus-kun, are we… lost?”
“Anju, what’s that? Where did you pick that up from?!”
And with that, we all moved on to the next attraction.
“Whoa, Devil Tower!”
The deep purple, demon-like tower had chairs arranged radially. You get on, rise rapidly, and then fall just as quickly. It seemed to be a thrill ride.
(For us, who have been soaring through the air countless times with Anju, it’s nothing.)
“Mama, this looks fun!”
“Oh, Shikada, let’s go together then.”
“Nataira, Lyra, you two go too.”
“Yes!”
The Princess Sisters obediently followed my suggestion.
“Amari’s going too!”
“Okay, is this training for your flying gear?”
“So, Helen, back to the bench?”
“Yes, Husband. Where should I sit?”
(Wait, is Anju getting jealous…??)
After that, we played on several more rides, watched the Cat Beastkin Lunch Show (which for us was dinner), and finally ended the day by buying souvenirs we wanted to give to others or needed more of.
“As expected of the capital of the Shamanias Continent. It was good that we could use Movermas Continent currency normally.”
“Husband, we could even use Mu Mu Empire banknotes! Thanks to that, I bought too much.”
“Okay, time to go?” “Sorry, Anju. It seems everyone providing security is waiting at the exit.”
Yes, by the time we finished shopping, more than half of our group had headed for the exit. Among them was… what was his name? Lamborngini? Fatamorgana? The Lion beastkin, uh…
“Ah, it’s Bellgrace’s old man!”
That’s right, that was his name! When we got to the exit, they all bowed their heads in unison. It was a bit odd, their expressions were very serious, though.
“Sis, you’re back early. There’s fireworks and stuff after this.”
“Can we go home now? Huh, Derus-kun?”
“Ah, yes. I can’t say it out loud, but for us, it’s already quite late at night.”
I thought they were going to say their goodbyes, but suddenly, someone grabbed both my shoulders from the front!
“Derus, Husband, I have a request.”
(What?! W-what in the world is happening?!)
I momentarily tensed up, thinking it was a test attack that Houkra had mentioned before…
