“Mmm, so good, so delicious!!”
A small Angel Race member, eating the Great Heavenly Tree’s Fruit with both hands.
“She fit in this cramped Magic, used for transporting meals… It wasn’t designed for people…” I thought as she had already eaten double digits’ worth of fruit.
(Her mouth is all red. I should wipe it for her.)
I tried to take out a towel, but for some reason, a ridiculously uncool white bear shirt came out.
Is my Item Box broken, or did I unconsciously want to get rid of this?
Oh well, I’ll give her more fruit and wipe her mouth. Yes, I need to give her water too.
(A cup… ah, found it. It’s a mystery cat cup from Lattice Land souvenir.)
While I’m doing this, the three Assassins are keeping watch outside.
“Jin-chan (Freezing Succubus), please, with extra water.”
“Less ice, got it.” “S-s-s-succubus?!”
“Ah, don’t be surprised. This is our Helen’s Summon, which means she’s a companion.”
In the corner at the end of the passage, I found a Petrified Jailer I’d overlooked.
I had En-chan (Ent-Succubus) and Bani-chan (Burning Succubus) carry it up.
I’ll ask about this Angel Race while they’re gone.
“Um, were you Hauume-san?”
“Ngugu! I’m Haume! Keep the ‘u’ sound as small as possible!”
“Ah, yes. Um, you’re Harmy-san’s younger sister, right?” “That’s right, and I’ll have seconds!”
This fruit is supposed to be enough for three per day, right?
She was so gaunt, so it can’t be helped. Her body seems to be returning to normal compared to before!
Yes, she really does look like a smaller Harmy-san.
“Is the Great Heavenly Tree’s Fruit delicious?”
“Yes! Memories of eating it when I was little came back!”
“That’s good.” “This… this isn’t a dream, is it?!”
It seems like rescue has finally arrived. Let’s hear the details.
“So, why were you in a place like this?”
“I followed an Adventurer Party into a Dungeon… but in the depths, a horde of Lamia pushed us back. We tried to flee in a panic, but we were cornered…”
It’s a dead end, after all.
So she had to fold her body and wings to take shelter.
“And then you came in here.”
“Yes! The Adventurer Party members seemed like they weren’t prisoners, so we couldn’t just leave them to die and opened the gate. That’s when the Lamia we brought with us came swarming in!”
I see, so that’s what happened.
If the Adventurer Party was sent by the Empire, they’d likely keep it a secret.
“Didn’t you have a chance to escape or leave?”
“Yes! Rather, we didn’t want them to open it, so we caused a commotion inside to prevent them from opening it from the outside!”
“You went that far?!” “Because it’s troublesome to have enemies you can’t hide from!”
Certainly, I remember hearing that causing a ruckus in a large Magic would activate a safety mechanism and stop it.
It would be easy to do when it’s this small. No, it shouldn’t have been designed for people to ride in the first place.
“How were you planning to get out?”
“We were just waiting for rescue. How much time has passed?”
“Almost two months, right? What would you have done if this place was abandoned or sealed off?”
Still, it was unavoidable to survive.
In fact, before we arrived, not only Lamia but also enemies from the Demon Lord’s Castle were lurking around.
(Still, stories about the Angel Race being able to survive for years without food or drink seem true.)
Looking at how she’s devouring it, it must have been tough, though.
“Please, have some. This is Komomo.”
“Thank you! *munch* Hehe, this is good too.”
“Ah, you’re even eating the skin.” “Soooo yummy, huff huff.”
“They are delicious!”
As she finished the ice water (mostly water), her companion Josena spoke.
“Hey Haume, what about Mibel?!”
“Huh? He’s not here?! Was he captured by the enemy?!”
“Mibel, who’s so cautious and quick to escape… it’s hard to imagine, but…”
As far as I’ve investigated, he wasn’t here.
However, I just found that Petrified Jailer in my blind spot a moment ago, so
it might be worth searching a bit more.
(I do hope the enemies have truly been wiped out.)
“Josena-san, so is it possible he went into the Dungeon?”
“No, no, no. Unlike Haume, who hides, he’s the running type.”
“Hmm, then outside perhaps?” “Husband, there’s also the possibility he’s disguised amongst the prisoners.”
Is it possible he’s casually mixed in with the petrified prisoners we’ve seen?
While I was thinking, the two Succubi returned. I should ask Bani-chan.
“Clarice-san and the others, were they back?”
“Yes, they seemed friendly with Sufma-san.”
“… Helen-san, let’s go back immediately. Teleportation.” “Not all at once, though.”
Ah, right. Haume-san isn’t in the party, so it’s impossible.
Anju-chan could teleport someone outside the party, but
Daku-chan’s teleportation magic isn’t capable of that yet.
“Haume-san, can you fly?”
“Yes. Thank you for the meal. I’ll wash the towel and return it later.”
“Ah, yes. It’s not exactly a towel, but, well…”
I could give it to her, but an angel couldn’t wear it.
“Here, have this too.”
“Um, those exceptionally beautiful white feathers are…”
“You can pull them out if you want! Go ahead.”
And immediately after that, Helen-san delivered a straight punch!!
“Hmph!!”
“GAAAH?!”
Whoa, heavy.
That’s an unmistakably heavy punch.
Helen-san, how do your glasses not slip?!
(That’s how good her posture is. What a clean straight punch.)
“Haume… you’re doing the same thing I did.”
“Blood! Blood ahhhh!!”
Gotchan (Goddess Succubus) quickly healed her.
(Really, these Angel Race members are so unpredictable.)
“Never mind that, let’s go back already!!”
Clarice-san is going to be stolen away by the old man!!!!!
