The third of the Seven Great Demon Lords, defeated with ease.
While the Succubi defeat the hidden bat-type monsters, they are busy collecting items. They are even collecting decorative items from the room; are they thieves?
(Right, for now, I want to get out.)
I remove the “Salt” armor plate hanging from my neck. It’s good that I put it in the item box, but I’m not allowed out yet. If I struggle awkwardly, Nina-san envelops me with a certain, indescribable sensation.
(If Nina-san goes all out, I’ll never be able to get out of here.)
But putting aside the joke I muttered in my mind.
“Hey boss!”
“Indeed, Ange, good work.”
The two headless Demon Lord couple were thrown and stored in Nina-san’s item box.
(Right, I should ask Ange about this.)
“Um, what were their races from earlier?”
“Derus-sama, they were ‘Emperor Deathlich’ and ‘Celebrity Vampire’.”
“Ah, Clarice-san, thank you.”
She answered instead of me.
“Now then… Hmm, it doesn’t seem like there’s anyone else based on the search.”
“Eh, is there still a possibility someone is hiding?”
“Remember the time with the Beast Shooter, there must be a passage somewhere…” “Ah.”
Right, children. The undead couple we defeated.
(Wait, children between undead and undead… do they even have kids? Kyun-san is probably like that.)
Ange is somehow going around extinguishing the candles. I wondered what purpose it served to make the already dark large room even darker, when suddenly the wall moved with a rumbling sound, and instead of a passage, a hidden treasure chest appeared.
“Woooooow.”
“What’s wrong, Ange? What’s inside?”
“Rings, jewels, unknown gold coins, lots of things!”
The Succubi are going to bring these over for us. Indeed, the treasure chest is magnificent, and Nina-san puts it into her item box.
“There’s a passage this way!”
Iwamoto-san also seems to have investigated a lot. Indeed, when he pressed the spot where the candle flames seemed to surround the edge of a door, the wall rotated, allowing access further in. About three Succubi went inside.
“Now then, Derus, it should be okay for me to come out soon.” “Nina-san…”
It’s a strange sensation. I could leave if I wanted to, but for some reason, I have a feeling that I’m being prevented from leaving.
(It’s probably that… it stirs the pleasure of being tormented.)
I’ll indulge this a little.
“Um, I don’t want to be separated from Nina-san ever again. I want to be bound to you, body and soul, forever, so that I can never escape. If not, when I meet Ric Older Sister…”
Nina-san releases me and lets me down with surprising ease.
“It’s no use trying to deceive me with talk like that to get out of punishment.”
“Ah.”
“More importantly, praise Nastasia.”
Nastasia-san stands there holding what is called an assault rifle. She looks a little sad looking at us. Perhaps it’s because she, the greatest contributor, was being doted on by Nina-san. I should cover for her.
“Nastasia-san, you’re amazing! Just two shots!”
“Yes, I practiced a lot with Ange-sama.”
“Eh?! Ange-chan’s head?!” “She was holding the target!”
Phew, that’s a relief. I didn’t actually blow up Ange-chan’s head. Well, that makes sense.
“Still, was that weapon called an assault rifle really that amazing?”
“Individually, it’s just a projectile weapon.” “Eh, Iwamoto-san?!”
“Ah, as Iwamoto says, in its acquired state, it was just a physical projectile weapon. Still, its power was tremendous.”
Then, what exactly did you do…?!
“Nastasia-san, you used light magic, right?”
“Yes, I had it repeatedly modified at the blacksmith.”
“I was involved in that. We have time, so I’ll explain.”
I guess that’s until the Succubi return. I want to know how that item was enhanced at the blacksmith.
“Please.”
“Ah, actually, it wasn’t just one person who modified it.”
“Um, who?” “That would be… Luzoi, Mariu, and Aggie.”
(What an unexpected all-star blacksmith cast!!!)
No wonder it’s so strong.
“The three of them together?” “No, first, I received an explanation about the ‘Assault Rifle’ from Iwamoto.”
“Indeed. This is a weapon from our world, with two functions: rapid-fire at close range and hitting targets at long range.”
“Bullets, you say?” “It’s made of gunpowder, you see, well, think of it as a physical metal chunk, fired at high speed.”
So they modified it to release magic power and light magic.
“It looks strong even as it is.”
“For high-level undead, ‘silver bullets’ are apparently needed, but obtaining them is another matter.”
“It’s a pay-to-win item. However, I don’t have one, and I don’t know if ‘silver bullets’ will even drop in the Item Dungeon.”
So light magic is the substitute.
“So, Derus, first I asked Luzoi for modifications, but the light magic enchantment was structurally complicated.”
“Did you hand it over?” “No, Lassal at the orphanage is better at that, so he managed to do something about it.”
Ah, Lassal is the daughter. She joyfully accepted the “More Lewdly Moving Stick” obtained from the Item Dungeon, though she turned bright red.
(♪ I wonder what she’ll use it for ~)
“However, it only turned into something that could fire ‘eight shots at short range, and one shot at long range’.”
“So, that’s where Mariu-san comes in?”
“Ah, I used a Teleport Scroll to go to someone who had been to the Dwarf country… I told you about that before, didn’t I? I met him and asked.”
He went there in person.
“You were able to ask without any problems?” “Using Derus’s name made it immediate, I’m sorry.”
“Eh? Eeeeeh…”
The repercussions of this later are terrifying. Well, it’s too late now.
“It also involved showing him Lizard technology, but it couldn’t be helped. So, Mariu further modified it, significantly increasing the amount of magic power that could be stored. Furthermore, the power now reflects the user’s magic power, and the speed reflects their agility.”
And the result is this incredibly powerful magic weapon.
“So, to make it…”
“However, Mariu’s technique emphasizes delicacy. There was still room for improvement, so Luzoi and Lassal made minor adjustments. And finally, Aggie.”
My own blacksmith, who is still training, appears at the end! The final touch was a half-Dwarf and half-Lizard.
“What did he do?”
“The design, the appearance. It’s apparently a weapon for the Hero Assassin. It became a wonderful weapon.”
“How is it, Master?” “Yeah, Nastasia-san, it’s cool. It suits you wonderfully.”
The white projectile weapon is nice. It has much more presence than a staff, and looks stronger.
(In fact, it defeated one of the Seven Great Demon Lords in one hit!!)
“I’ve returned.”
The three Succubi returned from the passage. Helen-san dealt with them.
“How was it beyond the passage?”
“Yes, it was outside.” “Large enough for the Demon Lord’s Castle to land.”
“And there was a meeting room along the passage.” “Understood.”
…Should I tell Luna about defeating the Demon Lord? Well, I don’t know how, but…
“Alright, once we’ve finished some exploration and collection, we’ll return.”
At Nina-san’s words, everyone started rummaging through the rooms as they pleased.
(…I can’t ask. I’m too terrified to ask what kind of thanks I should give Mariu-san… I can’t ask!!!)
