Chapter 5: The Returning Cast (Nina Starlights Regular Members Edition)
**Derus Avacarne** (19 years old) Hero Porter & S-Rank Hero. Hero Level 95, Porter Level 78.
The protagonist of this story. A black-haired hero of short stature (139cm in this world), he hails from the Namusia Kingdom, the second-largest country by area on the eastern Milishitan Continent, and was born into a Count family. After crossing over to the western Movermas Continent to restart his life as a porter, he was “consumed” by the tall Heroine Nina, becoming her partner. He later proposed to her and subsequently became involved with Saint Clarice, Illusionist Anju, and Summoner Helen, eventually becoming engaged to Hero Assassin Nastasia.
His initial goal of “abandoning the hero path to restart as a porter” seems to have been long forgotten. With the full backing of Nina and his other main wives and concubines, he has rapidly grown stronger. Thanks to party effects and excessively good equipment (though he alone cannot fly), he has gained immense power as a hero.
Upon returning home, he introduced his five main wives and concubines (in two separate introductions) to his brother-in-law and parents-in-law. He is welcomed after saving his brother-in-law’s life with an Elixir and seeing his fiancée’s strength. He is bewildered when his former fiancée and sister-in-law, Ric, is offered to him as a slave, wondering if he can get his “payback”?
His personal rare skill, possessed since birth as a hero, is “All Abilities Super Enhancement,” which also applies to his party. He has also acquired similar abilities through regular skills via Level Up, which are combined, making his strength far beyond his level and virtually untouchable. He is currently at a level where he can treat Nina, an exceptionally skilled hero, like a child, though in the bedroom at night, Derus (details omitted).
His current base is the sacred tree called “Great Tree” in Lurs Village, Mu Mu Empire, which can accommodate approximately 100 people simultaneously.
**Nina-Mishron** (23 years old) S-Rank Hero. Level 70. The main heroine of this work.
A tall hero (193cm in this world) with blonde hair, she hails from the Ailee Kingdom, the gateway to the western Movermas Continent, and was born into a Duke family. She was framed and kicked out of the Ailee Kingdom Knights and, while drunk, was saved by Derus. That night, she “consumed” him at an inn. She had a penchant for short boys and found Derus, who looked like a young boy at 19, to be her type. Furthermore, he was stronger than her, so she successfully captured him as her partner.
Her personal rare skill, possessed since birth as a hero, is “Companion EXP x2.” When combined with Derus’s “All Abilities Super Enhancement,” their leveling speed and abilities become tens of times faster than normal. With similar skills in the party, the situation has become truly extraordinary. It’s not unique to Nina, but those sensitive enough can feel that she is tens of times stronger than her actual level suggests.
Always calm and collected, with the rigor of a former knight, she loses control of her desires when it comes to Derus, earning her the title “Lustful Berserker.” She tolerates, and sometimes even encourages, Derus being with women outside of her harem, but she apparently won’t permit it if the other woman is a giantess (excluding her companions Helen and her summons). Secretly, she seems to have an agenda for letting Derus gain so much experience with women…?!
Lately, she has been operating more behind the scenes. Without Derus knowing, she has been actively leading “Nina Starlights” in various capacities, handling item creation and processing requests, negotiations, and perfectly securing weapons to defeat the Seven Great Demon Lords. She generally carries the massive “Berserk Sword” on her back but uses the “Princess Sword” in confined spaces or for quick attacks.
She owns “Nina Castle” in Shucco, which is named after her and serves as one of her two bases. Those with business concerning Nina Starlights use this as their point of contact, but only S-rank adventurers, merchants, or residents can even enter areas with the castle.
**Clarice** (28 years old) S-Rank Sage. Level 65. A sub-heroine of this work.
A busty saint (165cm in this world) with beautiful silver hair, she hails from the Ruanko Theocracy, a religious city on the western Movermas Continent, and is part of the Church of the Goddess. She is the saint of the Church of the Goddess, the fourth most populous of the thirteen religions in the Ruanko Theocracy. Churches of the Goddess exist in various countries, and she never misses her prayers. She has even converted her party member Anju and the slave cat-beastkin girl Pero to the Church of the Goddess, and in new towns, she actively engages in missionary work whenever she has time.
As an Assassin Saint, she used to cause men and women to die in their sleep during intercourse, but eventually, her own life became a target, and she fled to adventure with Derus. Among the frighteningly dark-clad members, she is the only one who appears gentle and soft, a deceptive appearance. Despite her looks, she has killed the most people, albeit under orders and reluctantly, a burden she is prepared to carry for the rest of her life.
Her personal rare skill as a Sage, possessed since birth, is “Copy Skills of Special Occupations” such as Hero and Assassin. She acquired Derus’s “All Abilities Super Enhancement,” and with this fixed skill, her party’s strength has become extraordinary. As the sub-leader of “Nina Starlights,” she offers calm and compassionate opinions, acting as a true healer and, given her age, a guardian figure.
For offense, she uses the Crystal Angel Staff to cast the all-area magic “Holy Shower.” For defense and curse removal, she uses the Purification Royal Staff, created by combining three Undo Curse Staffs. This exceptional item defends her party from magic and status abnormalities, as well as dispelling paralysis and petrification. A spare is enshrined at the Church of the Goddess.
She named the castle she received in the Fifth City of the Mu Mu Empire, in exchange for saving the lord’s life, “Clarice Castle (Church of the Goddess affiliated).” The first floor houses a teleportation magic circle hub and a Church of the Goddess sanctuary. The second floor is an Imperial Soldier barracks, and the third and fourth floors are residences for Nina Starlights. However, since they have already defeated the local Demon Lord, the castle is largely unused, with their exclusive Blacksmith, Aggie, who works in a nearby Lizard Village, being its de facto resident.
**Anju** (19 years old) S-Rank Illusionist. Level 65. A sub-heroine of this work.
A somewhat androgynous, short illusionist (141cm in this world) with a tanned body and dark blue hair. She hails from the Shifrin Magic Commune on the western Movermas Continent and has joined the Church of the Goddess. Her adventurer parents died, leaving her in an orphanage from infancy. Due to the poor environment and lack of proper education, and combined with congenital issues, she appears much younger than her actual age. She is currently undergoing a three-month intensive course at Shucco’s school to acquire common sense and is nearing graduation.
Despite being an extremely rare Illusionist, her innate rare skill made her level extremely difficult to raise. However, with the effects of Derus and the others, her level rose rapidly. In her teens, she possesses world-class abilities, even surpassing Derus in strength. Her weapon is the dark staff, Velvet Devil Rod, with which she casts the one-hit dark magic “Dark Integrate,” or she unleashes dark blades with the Death God’s Staff.
She can also apply aerial floating and teleportation magic to her party members and anyone within her thoughts. However, those being floated are largely at Anju’s mercy for movement progression, so having their own floating magic or equipment makes it easier to move according to their will. She also uses peculiar “gag magic” spells and occasionally catches mysterious signals, uttering nonsensical phrases like “Daddy Cool” and “Chikuwa Great Deity.”
Recently, through her schooling (morning classes are equivalent to a “special needs class” here, and afternoon classes are special elite practical training for higher occupations) and interactions, she has made friends (and fans), is starting to grasp general common sense, and can even manage MC duties for beings like the Angel Race. However, she still requires the support of those around her, especially the Nina Starlights. Clarice acts as her “Anju handler,” taking her to places like the Church of the Goddess and looking after her.
**Helen** (23 years old) S-Rank Succubus Summoner & Tamer. Level 70. A sub-heroine of this work.
A succubus-like woman who wields a whip and appears utterly wicked (178cm in this world). She has also acquired Tamer skills, possesses glasses, and has long pink hair. She was met in the free city of Shucco on the western Movermas Continent, though her origin is from Calendula, a country where she lived with monsters and demi-humans. She is a summoner herself, partly due to her monster blood. Initially, she attacked Derus and his party, and was taken in as a slave but was later freed and became Derus’s fiancée.
She has a yandere tendency. She was once unilaterally in love with a magician in her previous party, but after being conveniently discarded by him, she fell into despair. After various events, she was officially rejected by her unrequited love, and her romantic target shifted to Derus. She is a dangerous woman and the first person Derus experienced intimacy with. Derus often has her play the villainess in various scenarios, and she enthusiastically complies if it pleases him, though she occasionally coughs.
She is a rare “Succubus Summoner.” While generally, summons are consumed as disposable, Helen has raised hers with the support of her companions, making all eight of her routinely summoned beings high-tier species. Furthermore, through abilities she has gained, she can utilize all the magic her succubi can cast, making her an incredibly versatile magic user with all-attribute magic, a feat made possible by surpassing her early personal skill’s rapid growth.
She has regular meetings with the succubi she trains, so their speech is fluent. As a Tamer, she skillfully tames creatures like Kelpies and Kidnap Monkeys, and her proficiencies are high. Due to these exceptional abilities, her own value has skyrocketed. To preempt potential problems arising from being treated as a mere slave and subjected to sales, she was also freed.
**Nastasia** (18 years old) Hero -> Hero Assassin. Level 65. A sub-heroine of this work.
She has fair skin and dark silver hair, with an average height (156cm in this world), though Derus perceived her as shorter compared to Nina, Clarice, and Helen. She was originally a lower-ranked member of the “Twelve Heroes” based in Asrik, the Fifth City of the Mu Mu Empire. After losing a duel to Derus and his party, she became a slave. Under the watchful eyes of all the members, she spent a night with Derus (her first experience with a man), and by extension, became a member of Derus’s harem.
Her personal initial skill, “Double Class,” allows for a low probability (statistically 11% after examination) of acquiring a second occupation besides Hero upon reaching Hero Level 50. However, failure means losing even the Hero status, making it a risky endeavor. Fortunately, her luck value was increased by Derus’s party effects, leading to her successful acquisition of the Assassin class, likely making her the world’s only “Hero Assassin.” She generally fights in assassin mode, clad in black, but sometimes switches to hero mode.
Despite her slender body and agility, her acquired abilities and skills have granted her incredible speed. She is still not fully accustomed to these abilities and is undergoing training with Nina and Anju. Ultimately, with her ultimate weapon, the “Assault Rifle of Light,” reflecting her own speed, she instantly annihilated the third of the Seven Great Demon Lords.
Although freed from slavery due to her achievements, she was drawn to the environment that elevated her to Hero Assassin and to Derus, the central figure she admires (and is perhaps coveted by). She became engaged to him and proposed “payback” to Ric. She formed the “Devoted Pair (Tentative)” with Helen, proud of being exclusively intimate with Derus, but the gaze of her seniors (the main wives and concubines) is terrifying.
