*Fifth Chapter Summary: Characters in this Section: Adventurers and People Met Within the Empire*
**[Houkra]**
A handsome, middle-aged hero from the Shamanias Continent, a place known as a strange and monstrous land. He basically fights as a solo adventurer and travels all over the world. He told us that women from the Shamanias Continent constantly suffer from menstrual cramps.
**[Pinche]**
The person in charge of the Adventurer Guild’s branch office in Kayaya Village, the first village Deres and his party entered within the Empire. She has reddish-brown hair tied in a side ponytail with a large pink ribbon and is twenty-two years old, hailing from Chanmio. She refers to the Imperial Capital Mamamoo as “the Center.” She’s actually a skilled cook!
**[Sufma]** Illusionist
Shucco’s top court illusionist in the Mu Mu Empire, who also participated in the tournament. His ability to cast a magic defense wall over the entire empire is proof of his tremendous magic power, but he’s an old man with a strange fetish for wanting to be stepped on by Angu using her bare feet. Well, we did let him step on his face.
**[Tamii]**
A seventeen-year-old young lady who single-handedly manages “Koguma’s Bed,” the only inn in Kayaya Village. She speaks standard Japanese publicly but uses a dialect in private. Since Deres and his party cured her bedridden mother, they have been interacting. She was the first person we saw wearing a ridiculously uncool bear shirt.
**[Xel]**
An employee of the Empire’s Adventurer Guild who wears glasses and is a bit of a gloomy person. He moves around various locations within the Empire as a sub-guild master, conducting surveillance. Initially, he gave off an annoying impression, but he was quite busy, grasping at straws, getting surprised, and anticipating things, all while being serious. He was working according to the Empire’s policies, and when the focus shifted to integrating with foreigners, he followed suit, proving to be quite understanding.
**[Kyunn]** Vampire Lady
The demon lord of the castle-shaped dungeon attraction “Vampire House,” located a short distance from Masuma Town. She is served by a butler, the Vampire Gentleman [Schmit]. Her position can basically be considered an ally to the human side. She is a fair-skinned young lady with a broad forehead. She partnered with the Masuma Town Adventurer Guild to attract customers to her castle and consensually receive blood.
**[Igzon]**
There is no Adventurer Guild in Lurs Village; their services are handled by the Commercial Guild, where he is a prominent figure. He acted as an intermediary for various matters. Additionally, the real estate reception within the guild has an elderly staff member named [Massa].
**[Natsu-nee]** Assassin
A rabbit-beastwoman dressed as a bunny girl who was a prominent figure in the foreign section of the Adventurer Guild in Asrik, the Fifth City of the Mu Mu Empire. She was the sub-leader of the party named “Pyonpyon Surun Jaaaaaa,” but they are no longer very active. She now cooperates with Deres and his party as an individual and has bought and is frequenting a place called “Rabbit Hutch” behind Nina Castle in Shucco.
**[Nakichi]**
The guild master of the foreign section of the Adventurer Guild in Asrik, she is an elf woman. She has a strong, sisterly personality and seems to get along well with Nina. She was an archer in her adventurer days.
**[Raitani]** Hero
The guild master of the Empire’s Adventurer Guild in Asrik and a leading member of the Asrik Twelve Heroes, who was also a current hero. He challenged Deres and his party to a duel and was defeated, resulting in all twelve heroes being temporarily enslaved. (Introductions of other male members are omitted.) They were all eventually freed, and after the de facto unification of the Adventurer Guild, he has reportedly become somewhat more subdued due to the various events.
**[Seasas]** Hero
The leader of the adventurer party “Soul Minister.” The sub-leader is the assassin [Mulan]. He is Nina’s senior disciple and was apparently called “Brother Seasas” by Nina until she was nine years old when they were in Ailee. They reunited in an Asrik dungeon. Although he offered to help as a reinforcement for the foreign side in the hero duel…
**[Mariete = Ajuluri]**
The wife of the lord of Asrik. In exchange for Deres and his party curing her husband, the Duke [Yonaippi], she gave them the castle they lived in and moved to a nearby mansion. The castle she gifted became “Clarice Castle (affiliated with the Church of the Goddess).” She refers to herself as “Atashi.” Her butler’s name is [Edima].
**[Strena]**
The sub-master of the Adventurer Guild throughout the Empire and an old maid; she is fiercely loyal to the Empress. She was the first to switch her focus to incorporating Nina Starlights into the Empire. After that, she became incredibly cooperative. Later, she became the overall guild master.
**[Ruzoy]**
The master blacksmith in Lizard Village, on the outskirts of Asrik. He has a competitive spirit towards dwarves and works harder, letting his personal feelings get involved when compared to them. His daughter, [Rasa], is skilled in magic enchanting, and together, their craftsmanship rivals Mariu the dwarf.
**[Zukki = Fegotin]**
The Empress of the Mu Mu Empire, Her Majesty the Queen. She loses weight when she appears before her subjects and gains it back afterward. Her words and actions make it unclear how much is the Empress’s will and how much is the judgment of her subordinate, Strena, but all incorrect honey traps were decided through discussions between the two. She is inviting Deres to become a court count.
**[Trobeley]** Hero
The third prince of a country called the Self-Proclaimed Sublime City, commonly known as the Fortress City Alice, located at the border. Using his country’s position, he was doing whatever he pleased in the neighboring country with his attendant illusionist [Chigopas], but he attempted to seize Helen, who was still a slave, and was defeated and enslaved himself. He became the property of Deres and his party. He is scheduled to be put up for auction along with others.

**[Hazukki]** Assassin
The guild master of the Zazam Commercial Guild and the sub-guild master of the Zazam Adventurer Guild. She is also from the Shamanias Continent and has her younger sister, [Nitchi], help her with the guild. She had tolerated her husband’s lover contract with the contract employee [Mogunami], but it seems she is about to stab him soon.
**[Hargo]** Illusionist
One of the many young illusionists in the Empire, he was very interested in the Great Tree and the Angel Race. He claimed it was for information gathering to become stronger as an illusionist, but…?!
**[Qualia]** Angel Race
An elder grandmother who governs the former Great Tree settlement. She is generally cooperative but will click her tongue if convenient stories for the Angel Race are revealed. She also made crude remarks to Deres and his party, such as saying there were no more charming feathers and that she wanted to grow golden feathers.
**[Sarinaami]** Mermaid Race
The chief of the Mermaid Race who escaped from Mermaid Island near Zazam to the port. Her teeth are scary. She basically eats anything, and if humans are evil, she won’t hesitate to eat them, nor will she shy away from crushing and eating magic stones. Mermaids are topless, but their long hair conveniently conceals them. [Arakaki], who came with her to the villa, also hid his non-existent chest in a similar manner.
**[Jave]**
The chief jailer of Mermaid Island Prison. When he was petrified by a Lamia, both his arms and legs were shattered, but they regrew thanks to Deres and his party’s healing magic. He is surprisingly sharp.
