“Hey, hurry and escape to the big building!”
“The Commercial Guild is already full, at worst, head for the sewers beneath the ground!”
“Whoa, whoa, are these falling objects chasing us?!”
Arriving at Music City Kikaede due to the emergency, the objects falling from the sky were shaped like musical notes. Yes, if they hit you directly, you’d certainly die. Some of them were even bigger than me.
(And the rescued people are also crammed inside the barrier.)
Clarice’s newly acquired Defense Wall Magic, “Smiley Crown,” formed a small dome, protecting them and bouncing the musical notes away. However, the bounced notes hit other fleeing people and buildings. Yes, for now, let’s just go somewhere…
“What, the Adventurer Guild’s doors are closed!”
It’s no wonder Nina was angry. People trying to get inside were becoming victims of the musical notes from behind. As the Succubi rescued them, Anju looked through a window.
“It’s full of people.”
“Is there really no space at all?”
“Yes, boss, is there any place we can go?”
Anju skillfully dodged the musical notes and floated up to the next floor. After looking into a window quite a way up, she returned!
“There’s an empty space! I found one!”
“Is that so? I’m counting on you.”
“Everyone… all at once, POOF!!”
They entered through a group teleportation…!!!
“Wh-wh-what are all of you?! And Nina!?”
It turned out to be a large meeting room. They had apparently group-teleported into the center of the space where important-looking guild staff were gathered around a long table, in the middle of a discussion.
“What is it, Izekka? Are you back in Kikaede?”
“Yes, I just got back and this happened… Strena, why are you here?!”
“Now is not the time to argue!” “When you’re the one who kicked me out?!”
Ah, this serious-looking man who seems to be the Guild Master, he appears to be a well-dressed elite in his forties. I wonder if he’s the former Guild Master of the Empire’s Adventurer Guild. His name was Izekka, wasn’t it? Nina just called him that, so it must be correct.
(And next to Izekka-san, there’s an old woman all dolled up, no wait, an older sister…)
The older sister, no, she’s definitely an old woman, asked Izekka with a flustered look.
“What is this about?!”
“It’s them, the S-rank Adventurer Party that supposedly defeated both Seven Great Demon Lords in the Empire.”
“We can discuss that later. What are we going to do with the people we rescued?”
Things were chaotic on this side as well. Releasing the barrier, they let the rescued individuals out into the hallway. Only the members brought from the Great Tree remained in the center of the meeting room.
(To organize the members…)
Six regular members of Nina Starlights, Anju’s summons, two Otherworlders, and Helen’s summons, eight Succubi—that’s a lot.
“I’m sorry, Helen. Please go out and help the other injured people.”
“Understood. I will go around and treat them with the Succubi.”
“Oh! Thank you, I appreciate it. I’ll have soldiers accompany you so there are no misunderstandings.”
So said a rather imposing, general-like man with a beard, who then signaled to the guards behind him. Helen and the Succubi headed for the hallway, and the soldiers they had rescued earlier seemed to follow along, overhearing the conversation.
(Even though they were just treated, it’s tough.)
Back to the remaining members they brought, there was Ms. Strena, the new Guild Master of the Mu Mu Empire, and Cheer, the receptionist at the Shucco Adventurer Guild. As a bonus, the Princess Sisters, who are dancers, also tagged along.
(The sisters are huddled close, or rather, almost embracing each other.)
Iwamoto is currently guarding them, praising their efforts.
“Allow me to introduce ourselves again. We are ‘Nina Starlights’, who came here after hearing the distress call from Strena. I am Nina, the Leader.”
The one who responded to those words was not Izekka, but the older sister/old woman beside him.
“Thank you. I am Lulunojo, the Guild Master of the Kikaede Adventurer Guild.”
“Understood. For now, let’s postpone introductions beyond that. What is the current situation?”
When Nina asked, she was given a brief explanation. Apparently, one of the Seven Great Demon Lords, “Badolin Mitchell,” resides in a mountain overlooking Kikaede, and he is incredibly powerful. Furthermore, if they were to challenge him and fail, a curse would be cast upon Kikaede.
“I see, so that’s why this disaster has occurred.”
“Yes. Normally, the more attacks are dealt to Demon Lord Mitchell, the fewer curses are inflicted… but”
“This time you made quite a mistake.” “The curse is different each time, but this is the first time we’ve seen such physical attacks.”
The Guild Master, the made-up old woman—perhaps in her late thirties, wearing a ring, so she’s married. If she’s married, then calling her an old woman is fine (my apologies). On the paper on the desk, which she was holding her head over, there was a pink bear. Yes, it looked just like the drawing on that ridiculously uncool shirt.
(I never thought that was one of the Seven Great Demon Lords.)
“By the way, what were the previous curses?”
“Let’s see. For a whole night, the Demon Lord’s mountain would glow in seven colors, or all the residents’ daily conversations would temporarily turn into songs. Mysterious giant mushrooms would sprout all over town, or for several days, you’d be slapped by an invisible person at random…”
Yes, they were all just pranks.
“So, the adventurers who went to subjugate him this time made a significant mistake.”
“That seems to be the case. We heard they were a highly skilled Adventurer Party.”
“And those individuals?”
“They haven’t returned. We don’t know if they’re alive…”
At this point, the bearded general stood up.
“May I ask one thing? Do you have any curse-breaking specialists in your party?”
“I am one such person. My name is Clarice. I am a Saint of the Church of the Goddess.”
“Your religion and sect are irrelevant now. We wish for you to break the curse on our King and Queen.”
Ah, so that’s what’s happening.
“Understood. And your name is?”
“I am Flick, the military top of this country. Please come with me immediately, all of you are welcome.”
“Understood, but we have something else to do first. Clarice, Anju.”
“Yes.”
“Ah, yes.”
Oh, with this group, it’s only natural…!!
(By the way, I’m currently cross-dressing, so I was quietly hiding in the middle, trying to stay out of the way!!)
