(I want to push it…)
After the meal, Clarice, Nastasia, Nataira, and I arrived at the magic elevator on the second floor. Lyra was apparently continuing to look after Amari and had gone off somewhere with her.
(It would have been fine if they had come with us, though.)
Well, this must be the difference between us and the regular Nina Starlights members. I also caught a glimpse of Mogunami, but as the Guild Master here, she was busy greeting various important people and didn’t seem to be in a situation to deal with us.
(She’s having her own difficulties, I suppose.)
According to Nina, she’s off starting tomorrow, though! That was the contract, you see. Considering her abilities, she’s more than enough talent for us, but the pay that flies out, in platinum coins, is astounding.
(The conditions I initially suggested, half as a joke, are pretty much the basis for it all.)
Even though Nina made the detailed adjustments…
Anyway, let’s get back to the story. What is it that I’m feeling an urge to push from Nina’s chest right now? Well, it’s…
(That button with “Betsu” written on it right in front of me is so intriguing!!!)
However, Nina seemed more interested in the buttons above.
“Hmm, ‘R1’ and ‘R2’, huh? Yesterday, it was just ‘R’.”
“Nina-sama, does that mean the rooftop also has two stages?”
“That’s right, Clarice. Let’s go in order.”
“Um, about ‘Betsu’…”
“Deles, that’s for later.”
We boarded the magic elevator that had arrived.
While ascending, I’ll try to think about it.
(Betsu… does that mean a separate building? An annex? A different dimension?)
Perhaps it’s because I reached Level 5, perhaps a small tree has sprouted next to it… Or maybe she planted and grew a mysterious seed there without my knowledge?
(Without telling me? That’s unlikely.)
Nina denied the possibility of it being a different tree from somewhere else, didn’t she? Then there’s the old Great Tree, the village of the Angel Race attacked by that Dragon. No, the distance to reach there would be too great, and it’s a dead tree now.
(So… subspace?!)
Come to think of it, Haitou had that strange item. I believe it was the ‘Backyard Scroll’, which could take you to the “back” of this world. I wonder if there are people or monsters there, and if this ‘Betsu’ leads there…?
(I’m looking at the ‘Betsu’ button inside the magic elevator right now!)
Nataira is looking at the scenery outside, though! A different dimension… I acquired something like that in an Item Dungeon a while ago. It was the ‘Two-Person Beat Board’, which could take you to a special, delicious hunting ground. Was that also a different space?!
(I wanted to use it, but I was worried if I could come back.)
But now we have Teleport Scrolls, so it should be alright. If it’s for only two people to ride/go, then I could go with Anju, and if we could summon an Otherworlder on that island, I feel like we could somehow manage.
(If, if, if we couldn’t get out, and Anju and I had to live there forever…)
No, Nina would probably find a way to help, and I want to do what I can too. I should probably consult with Iwamoto and the others about this as well. I’ll likely get an answer that’s something like “It’ll probably be fine,” but I want to be prepared for the worst-case scenario.
(After all, there’s always the possibility of total annihilation because the enemies are too strong.)
Getting two or three more of those Beat Boards from the Item Dungeon is also a good idea. If we could transplant the Great Tree there and provide access through its roots… My dreams are expanding. Yes, I think I can enjoy this world a lot more as an Adventurer.
(But, I still want to get married.)
With the defeat of Shear, there are only two of the Seven Great Demon Lords left. Then, I can proudly hold a wedding ceremony with Nina and the others. It seems our respective families have already been informed… I’m talking about Nina’s and my side.
(The concubines should also be properly prepared.)
And then, closure with Ric, Older Sister… No, it should be Older Sisters, with Frau, Older Sister, Mijuki, Harvey… everyone.
(I never imagined that all four of them would be stolen from me.)
Ric sent me a message through the Adventurer Guild saying she wanted to apologize. But no matter how much she apologizes, my body and soul already belong to Nina and the others. The extremely unexpected development of taking Ric and the others, all four of them, as concubines…
(Yeah, that’s not happening.)
I don’t want to be that much of a do-gooder, and more importantly, Nina and the others would definitely dislike it, and I would too. But the anxiety of actually meeting Ric still lingers.
(After all, the harem has a capacity of eight people.)
If I become a Count Palatine of this Mu Mu Empire. In exchange for becoming the Empress’s sword, I can have eight wives… Without even reconsidering, there are no longer four spots left.
(There’s already a traffic jam of candidates who want in!)
Mariu, Camilla, who else was there? What does Mogunami think? And Lyra. Should I not include Amari? Well, as years pass…
(Perhaps the next concubines will be unexpected people, not them.)
Well, new encounters happen. There’s no need to force myself to fill all eight spots by the wedding. Or rather, telling Ric, “All eight spots for main wife and concubines are filled,” might not be so bad.
(I wonder what kind of face she’ll make… I want to inflict damage equivalent to the slap she gave me.)
Ah, we’re arriving at R1 soon!
“Deles.”
“Yes, Nina-san.”
“You seemed to be lost in thought, what is it?”
Nina is sharp, as always.
“Uh, about Ric, Older Sister.”
“A method of retaliation?”
“You figured that out so quickly. It’s scary.”
When one’s body is stored, it feels as if one’s heart is being read too.
“My retaliation is already in progress.”
“Eh? Is that so?!”
“It’s not finished yet, though.”
…Nina will retaliate on my behalf. But based on the dream I had last night, Nina should probably be grateful to Ric, who abandoned me… No, that’s not for me to say.
“What is it, Deles?”
“Yes, actually, I had a dream last night.”
“…We’ll talk about that later.”
And so, we arrived at the Aerial Garden, and I was surprised by its transformed appearance!
“Um, this is a complete… village, isn’t it?”
Yes, a village had been built on the rooftop.
(No, no, this is beyond a garden!!)
