“Alright, this should be good enough.”
Returning to the Mermaid Island Adventurer’s Guild, I remembered I’d skipped over the procedures after diving in the morning. I had handled selling various things at the underwater guild, but I hadn’t shown my Adventurer Card then.
(By the way, I was facing Nina and clinging to her this time too!)
So, I didn’t know the specifics, but it seems I had managed to capture fourteen Balloon Seals. I was finally allowed to face forward a moment ago and quickly counted them. Yes, it’s correct.
“These are rare monsters,” the gruff receptionist, different from the one in the morning, exclaimed. It’s fine that they’re cute, but the seals have been making noisy “kyu kyu” sounds to each other. I don’t know what they’re saying, but when Helen cracked her whip on the floor, they suddenly fell silent.
“Well, since we’re here, I’ll let one go.”
“Eh? Really?!”
“Yeah, keep one alive as a sample for future reference.”
Is that okay? Well, the first one is already at Great Tree Building No. 2, and with the Baird & Sexy Golem team there, there’s one left over. I could keep it as a spare.
(I wonder if it’s still there at our home.)
I’d hate it if they wiped out the entire Balloon Seal colony. In that case, we’d have to breed them. Well, more than that unnecessary worry, I’ll hand over my Adventurer Card again. Yep, confirmed.
(Clarice and Anju aren’t here; I’ll handle theirs another day!)
Thus, one Balloon Seal was handed over…
“Well then, let’s go, Helen.” “Yes!”
And with that, we all teleported to Building No. 2. Clarice and Anju were already waiting there. Morita, also known as Mikitsuba Anyuri, and two males who seemed to be Otherworlders were discussing something.
Mikitsuba: “In that case, the condition is contact with the Mother Tree…”
Teruyuki Iwamotor: “It’s about raising the level first, isn’t it?”
Anyuri: “And then, after connecting…”
Haitou Koki: “If it’s only within the dungeon, it’s possible even without vines…”
Huh? Why is there subtitle magic?
Nina: “What’s wrong?”
Clarice: “Yes, we returned a little early, so we decided to join everyone.”
Anju: “When I tried to cast magic, I got caught up in Morita’s conversation~”
So that’s why they couldn’t stop talking, as it seemed important.
Deles: “What about MAINA?”
Anju: “When I asked if she wanted to come, she told me to call her if needed. Ah, there she is~”
She’s dancing outside, still wearing those headphones. She’s attacking the occasional monsters that appear, discreetly gaining EXP.
Roppongi Maina: “♪~~”
(The vines are collecting the corpses of the enemies.)
But that’s not the point.
Nina: “How was it? Where did you go?”
Clarice: “Yes, ‘Happy Lucky Island’ was definitely there!”
Anju: “The old folks were so nostalgic~”
At those words, the old folks arrived.
Teruyuki Iwamotor: “It was a great harvest to be able to enjoy that event again!”
Haitou Koki: “It was an event held about seven times in the past. Initially, ‘Happy Island’ and ‘Lucky Island’ were separate events, but…”
Nina: “Never mind the details. I’ll have you summarize them later. Also, Anju, the subtitles are annoying.”
She deleted them with an incantation-less spell.
“Yes, boss.”
“So, Clarice, what happened in the end?”
“Yes, we made a Teleportation Magic Circle using the materials from a wooden ship that had drifted ashore!”
So we can go!
“I see. Then let’s go. Call MAINA.”
“Maina~~~!!”
“Um, what about the first ‘Balloon Seal’?”
“Right, Ragishino.”
Clutching her whip, she floated down from the floor above. It was easy to identify her by the masking tape on the side! Before restarting, I peeled it off and reattached the ring I gave to Ragishino to equip it again.
(Everyone get ready. Though we’re still in our underwater gear, is that okay?)
“…Alright, is that okay, Deles?”
“Ah, yes. Let’s go.”
“Understood!!”
And so, the large group of Summoned Taming Monsters moved via the Teleportation Magic Circle, but where we ended up was…!
“Whoa, it’s bright!”
“What is this? It’s not scorching hot.”
“Ah, it reminds me of home.”
Is Nataira’s country like this?
(Looking down, it really looks like broken ship planks.)
You can’t draw a Teleportation Magic Circle on sand.
“This way~”
There was a tent, and next to it was something like a minecart. And its destination was a large island across the sea…
(There are two islands, and they are divided between them.)
And at the boarding area stood a woman with her hair tied up in a ponytail, holding a parasol.
“Welcome~ Welcome to Happy Lucky Island~”
“This is our guide, ‘Manaroo’-san,” Clarice introduced.
She was beaming. And for some reason, Haitou came rushing over.
“Please don’t touch on her Kansai dialect too much. For the eighth planned event, it seems they intended to use this collaboration character.”
“I don’t quite understand, but we’ll get the information. Manaroo, why are you here?”
Nina continued the conversation, ignoring the flustered Haitou, and Manaroo replied.
“I’m the guide here. You can go to both ‘Happy Island’ and ‘Lucky Island’ via this ‘roller coaster,’ so please enjoy!”
“That’s good, but how do you live?”
“There’s a tent over there. I sleep at night, so feel free to use it.”
Is she living here alone? No, looking closely, it’s a double tent. I’m a little curious about the inside.
“By the way, what is this island?”
“This? This is the ‘Waiting Island.’ You can wait for your companions here~”
“I see. And how do you escape from the island?”
“The most reliable way is that there’s a warp gate at the very back~”
Is it something like a Teleportation Magic Circle?
“Where does that connect to?”
“Either the hideout or the Adventurer Guild from before you came to this island~”
“So, Great Tree or Mermaid Island Prison…”
It’s probably Building No. 1, isn’t it, Amatatsu?
“What’s the difference between the destination islands?”
“‘Happy Island’ is for gaining EXP, and ‘Lucky Island’ is specialized for gaining items~”
Well, then, Happy Island for now.
“Hmm, can an Adventurer Guild be built on this island?”
“There ain’t one~”
“If there isn’t one, then it’s okay to build one, right?”
“I dunno~ heh♪”
Ah, she dodged the question with a laugh.
“Um, I was wondering when we first arrived…”
“Clarice, what is it?”
“What do you think about building Great Tree here?”
That’s a great idea!
