Chapter 8: Characters Introduced So Far (Nina Starlights, Summon & Taming Monsters Arc)

Anju’s Summon: Otherworlder
A game player who died on Earth and was transported to another world in their exact same form.
The number of summonable individuals increases as the Seven Great Demon Lords are defeated. Currently, the limit is four people…
[Teruyuki Iwamoto] 54-year-old Male, Assassin, Security Guard
A band member from Niigata. He aimed for a major debut and entered an audition for a late-night program but couldn’t win.
Only one member, the bassist, achieved individual success. Teruyuki moved to Tokyo, continuing to work part-time as a security guard while pursuing his dream of going pro.
However, time passed, and he inexplicably turned fifty-four. Exhausted, he died in a runaway truck accident.
However, a god in the other world reincarnated him into a world based on the MMORPG he used to play, “Babylbarz Towers.”
There, he would continue his life as a “Summon (Summoned Beast) called by a specially strong, high-level Summoner.”
His summoner turned out to be none other than that Illusionist… but since she is to be his Master, he diligently carries out his duties with absolute obedience.
He can converse with his companions in the waiting subspace, but perhaps because he misses his original world, when Anju summons him, he often gets stopped by Deles or Nina for launching into lengthy monologues or chat about his former world.
He is also sometimes stopped by fellow Otherworlders because his topics of conversation often involve scandalous industry gossip he overheard at broadcasting stations.
His abilities are specialized in defense, rivaling that of a Tank, despite being an Assassin.
He specializes in incapacitating enemies with his unique weapon/armor (armor weapon?), the “Sasumata.”
While he can attack, his finishing move involves reading from a rolled-up hentai doujinshi (with extremely niche content) – an attack that has even defeated Seven Great Demon Lords.
He is intimately familiar with the game that forms the basis of this world, possessing more detailed knowledge than the inhabitants.
However, there are some discrepancies, meaning his information isn’t always absolute. He is also knowledgeable about the rhythm game that was slated for collaboration within that game.
He understands these points but inwardly realizes, “It would be bad to speak them outright,” or at least, he *should* understand.
He showcases his brought-along guitar in various situations,
and even has sessions with fellow Otherworlders.
In the subspace, he provides Anju with various “images and information from his original world.”
The guide to this other world is none other than the creator of this world, taking the form of a black-suited president from a certain idol game.
[Maina Roppongi] 18-year-old Female, Dancer, Gal Friendly to Otaku, Dancer
She calls herself the dancer “MAINA.” She died in the hospital shortly after graduating high school, suffering from leukemia.
Despite her illness, she aspired to be a dancer. Her friend, an otaku, had an older sister who was the famous dancer “AYU,” so Maina was allowed to become her apprentice and receive encouragement. Dancing as a backup at the school festival remains her fondest memory.
Recommended by her otaku friend, she played “Babylbarz Towers,” the game that serves as the basis for this world.
She was burdened with a large quantity of expensive items, including a “Race Change Scroll.”
As a dancer, she fights on the front lines, and her personal combat style is a striking one, like a pugilist, equipped with Kaiser Knuckles.
She usually listens to music through her earphones and doesn’t participate much in conversations,
but she actually hears quite well and calmly stopped Iwamoto’s rampage when asked.
Through casual conversations with Iwamoto in the subspace, she understands the dangerous nature of his topics and was admittedly taken aback.
During a feast, she shed tears when she was able to dance “Breakin'” in this world.
However, during the Singer Contest, she found personal catharsis by rapping and dancing solos.
Still, she seems to understand that “it was too early for this world,” though her dancing itself was well-received.
At Anju’s suggestion, she experiences the act of mutual love with Deles, something she couldn’t experience in her previous life.
When Deles asks if it would be different with other Otherworlders, she replies that she couldn’t do it with an elderly man or someone who still loves their family.
Apparently, she was extremely satisfied. In her original world, she had been quite curious about it.
The guide to this other world is the creator’s messenger, borrowing the form of an almost thirty-year-old secretary from a certain idol game.
[Takaki Kaito] 37-year-old Male, Sage, Moderately Successful Voice Actor, MC
Belongs to the voice actor agency Beta Eight. He had a few minor roles in late-night anime and a reasonable amount of narration work for TV and radio.
However, his primary role was as an MC for events, for which he traveled all over Japan. He has a “ikemen voice” (handsome voice).
While hosting a matchmaking party, a major earthquake struck, and a giant chandelier fell.
Seeing three children in the participants about to be crushed, and perhaps due to being a father of three himself,
he shielded them with his own body and died. He continues to think of his wife and children left behind in the mortal world, even after arriving in this one.
His unique skill, “MC,” allows him to control enemies with a lower level than himself through commands.
However, his Sage-class healing magic and skills are so overwhelmingly powerful that they overshadow it.
His healing magic, for instance, can resurrect individuals within two hours of their death, making him invaluable for saving lives.
While he didn’t play the game “Babylbarz Towers” extensively as a player,
he was involved in the anime adaptation as a voice actor for a mob character. Through this connection, he was also entrusted with MC work for events.
Within the game, he was involved on a level close to the management, participating in live streams and in-game events, which gave him some insight into the game’s inner workings.
The guide to this other world is the sound director and voice actor for the anime adaptation of the game, borrowing the form of a creator’s messenger. (Different from the leader previously mentioned).
[Miwako Niizuma] 45-year-old Female, Bard, Former Bottom-Ranked Idol, Self-Proclaimed Pro Blogger
She was part of the fourth generation of the adult idol group “Wanderer Girls” from the TV late-night variety show “Wanderer!” They released CDs, but she was the least popular member.
After a year of activity, she continued to work as a talent for a while, but with no work, her agency’s contract ended.
While working at a hostess bar where she had previously worked (a customer service job), she used her former idol status to become a pro blogger, promoting various products and earning advertising revenue. However, as legally gray and increasingly shady products became more common, she was deemed too problematic and was not even invited to the Wanderer Girls reunion.
Consequently, her advertising income dwindled. As she aged, customers at the bar were drawn to younger girls.
Working full-time night shifts without rest, she suffered from poor health and overwork, ultimately dying of a myocardial infarction.
Coincidentally, she was summoned by an otherworldly god who was seeking former idols, in exchange for an “easy mode for the next life.”
Her ex-boyfriend was an avid player of the game “Babylbarz Towers,” and while he roped her into leveling up and purchasing gacha items,
she gained a moderate amount of game knowledge and a large number of expensive in-game items.
Upon being summoned to this world, she was able to resume her idol activities.
However, remaining her original age, the experience can be described in one word as “awkward.”
Nonetheless, she calls her summoner “Producer Anju” and places her complete trust in her.
The guide to this other world is the announcer who worked on the TV show “Wanderer!” that she appeared on, borrowing their form as a creator’s messenger (different from the past messenger).
Helen’s Summon: Succubus

Featured Taming Monsters
[White Baird → White Frontbeard]
A super-rare magic beast purchased at a slave auction.
In its initial “White Baird” form, it was merely a giant, one-eyed mass of white fur.
Its limbs and tail were underdeveloped, with only small pink nubs buried in its fur. It also had male genitalia!
Its extreme fluffiness captivated women, compelling them to hug it without magic. It was indeed soft and comforting.
It was a fiercely contested item, purchased as the ultimate beloved pet for a stack of platinum coins.
Initially, it moved by rolling, but it could actually float softly.
When it first learned to speak, it was taught only one human phrase: “You bunch of shotacon lovers!”
Later, it was taught to say “Understood,” and it would speak only if it understood, otherwise remaining silent—a binary choice.
After evolving into “White Frontbeard,” it gained the ability to use numerous tentacles, could transform into a human-like form (resembling a snow monster), and learned to speak up to three distinct phrases, among other power-ups.
[Sexy Diamond Golem]
A female-form golem that shines like a diamond.
Its physique is so embarrassing, I can’t explain it in detail ///
Apparently, its voice is also quite sexy. Otherworlders say it’s thanks to the voice actor.
It stood guard before an ancient ruin on the Shamanias Continent, acting as a gatekeeper for the Demon Lord “Marimo Emperor.”
Its absolute durability made it seem impossible to defeat. However, Clarice sealed it temporarily with Barrier Magic.
While immobilized, the Marimo Emperor was defeated, causing it to lose the will to fight and be tamed by Nina Starlights.
After being tamed, it became fond of White Frontbeard’s tentacles, acting as its partner.
It rides on Baird’s back, and when it throws itself forward, its entire body is torn apart, only to be restored by Resurrection Magic—an established routine. This golem is, incidentally, highly intelligent and can speak normally.
Sometimes the author abbreviates it as “Sexy Golem” or “Diamond Golem,”
but occasionally makes the mistake of writing “Diamond Succubus,” for which I apologize.
I will correct it later when I notice. That’s how sexy this golem is.
[Cupid] [Koopi] [Pappy]
These are rare, water-attribute, horse-type magic beasts (Kelpie) that Deles acquired while on the Movermas Continent.
They wear pink, blue, and orange collars respectively. Pappy’s head is rather flat.
They possess the toughness to be used as a carriage and the charging power to defeat enemies, but they are also highly sought after by collectors.
After Deles was exiled, the False Hero, driven by greed, sold them off.
They eventually ended up being sold at an auction in Shucco, on the Movermas Continent.
Deles bought them back, reuniting with them, which ultimately saved Deles’ life.
Upon their reunion, they were used for carriage travel, showcasing their toughness, and for combat, demonstrating their charging power.
However, they gradually lost their spotlight to Summons and other Tamed Monsters. Although there were Timers who desired them,
they found themselves in a semi-retired state near the Great Tree, with multiple High Kelpie “wives” provided for them.
During a duel with the former Harem, they were reunited with one of their former owners, Harvey.
Despite the ongoing battle, they all rushed to Harvey’s side and showed affection,
causing Harvey to become overwhelmed with emotion and surrender, thus averting disaster. However, since they already have wives, they don’t seem to be returning to Harvey’s side.
Next time, in Chapter 8, we will introduce new characters.
We will then provide a recap of the members of the former Harem who received their “Payback.”
