Chapter: 39. You Still Have a Way
Xiya wanted to come over and check if Xue Fei was packing her things properly.
Xiya really understood her too well; Xue Fei’s personality was of a progressively lazy type.
The so-called progressive lazy type means that at the beginning, she’d have a slight thought of being lazy in her little head, thinking that just a little nap wouldn’t matter and that she didn’t need to sleep too much. She believed that a little rest was the foundation for effort.
This idea is not wrong.
But the reality is that often, lying down meant an entire day and night would pass.
By the time she opened her eyes again and turned over to see it was dark outside, she would continue sleeping—thus giving in completely.
This is what is called a progressive failure to act.
However, when Xiya came to check, she found that Xue Fei was not sleeping this time…?
But she was preparing to sleep.
“Xiya, just sit here for a moment…! I need to reclaim my territory! Damn lizard! Get off my bed! I’ve warned you three times already!”
“No way! You have so many beds in this place! Can’t you find another one? How do I know which bed will collapse and which won’t! This one is the sturdiest, no doubt about it!”
“If I knew which bed was sturdy, would I even need to fight for this one?!”
“But I’m afraid the bed will suddenly collapse! It’s scary!”
“I’m scared too!”
At first, this battle over the sturdy bed manifested as Xue Fei pulling Timani’s arm and the bed sheet, trying to drag her off the bed.
But Timani had a solid build and center of gravity, firmly holding onto the bed board, and no matter how strong Xue Fei was, she could only shift the bed with the dragon along with it, achieving little success.
Xue Fei was in a panic!
“Ahhh! The only things in this world that cannot be neglected are food and sleep! Last chance, just say you’re getting off!”
“No… hey…! What are you…! Xue Fei! Hiss…!”
“I’ll really bite you!”
Timani was shocked.
Because Xue Fei actually rolled onto the bed.
Kneeling over her from the blanket, she planned to launch an ambush from a high point.
Timani felt pain—because in a fit of panic, Xue Fei bit her face with her little fangs.
Timani shivered as if she had touched ice, her eyes widening, and her already weak body became even more limp.
“You… you’re simply… don’t do that…!”
“Just say you won’t move! Okay, okay, if you have the guts to not run away from my bite, how about trying this move? It’s foolproof!”
“Don’t…! Ahahaha! Ah! Stop it…! Stop it!”
She directly threw back the covers and used her expert tickling skills under Timani’s armpits.
This move was taught (executed) by Belis to Xue Fei, effectively curing Xue Fei’s habit of oversleeping.
With some initial effect, Timani’s back began to arch gradually, and her soft fingers slowly loosened their grip on the bed board. With the progress of the tickling, her body’s writhing was accompanied by increasingly strange breaths.
Xue Fei wasn’t thinking about much now; she just acted childishly, letting anger take over, trying to reclaim her territory.
Standing at the door, Xiya…
At this moment, was completely frowning.
From Xiya’s perspective… the situation was not as it seemed…
Xue Fei, wearing knee-high black stockings that revealed a flesh color at the toes, occasionally touched Timani’s thigh, and each collision triggered a series of bouncy visual impacts.
Xue Fei was pressing down on Timani; her flat body certainly couldn’t touch Timani. However, even when lying flat, Timani could still connect with Xue Fei “heart to heart,” and even unintentional squeezing could cause various distortions!
Xue Fei was fiercely fighting for the bed.
And Timani’s gradually reddening face was becoming more serious, even her usually proud voice was turning soft.
Earlier, Xue Fei was in a panic.
Now, it was Xiya who was anxious!
She walked over to the bed with hurried and heavy steps, grabbed Xue Fei by the collar and lifted her straight up as if picking up a kitten by its scruff.
Xue Fei, suspended in mid-air, was still making little punches, planning to launch a final attack!
“Xiya, let go first…! Just a little more! If I don’t show her some consequences now, she’ll keep getting worse!”
“Could you say a little less…!”
Maybe… it really was just a little more.
Because of the earlier tussle, her clothes were slightly disheveled, her crimson hair was sticking to her flushed cheeks from sweat, and tear droplets of embarrassment hung at the corners of her gentle eyes.
Timani usually appeared detached and stern, so it was hard to imagine she’d show such a side.
Maybe she could resist completely.
But she didn’t resist.
She didn’t know why, nor did she want to know why.
She only knew that her heartbeat just now… was much different from usual!
Once she regained her freedom of movement, Timani instinctively touched the little fang mark on her cheek, and after realizing it and seeing Xialet’s “dim and cold” gaze, she quickly rearranged her clothes, sat up in a somewhat unbelievable speed, and forced a calm demeanor while tucking her messy red hair behind her ears.
“I… I said don’t mess around! Xialet, you saw it too, some people usually have a sense of propriety,… but sometimes they act just like children!”
“Who are you calling a child…! Gah!”
Xue Fei wanted to retort, but was deprived of her speaking rights.
She was fiercely pulled into Xiya’s embrace, hitting face-first into that exaggerated softness, her whole little face sinking into it.
It’s suffocating… it’s going to suffocate me!! I’m dying!
Xiya made this action almost instinctively.
At the same time, she “smiled” to respond to Timani’s words for Xue Fei.
“Miss Timani… I believe that taking other people’s things is inappropriate, okay?”
“Taking…?! No, what are you talking about! The Fire Dragon Clan would never stoop to taking things from others! I have no…! Cough… I mean this bed… I just wanted to rest for a while… I didn’t expect Xue Fei’s reaction to be this big… right?”
“Well, now you know.” Xiya rarely spoke without using honorifics, her gaze cold as if made of ice, “The two things that Xue Fei cannot touch are food and sleep, so Timani, if possible, I hope you can pay more attention.”
“No, do you mean you two… ahhh…! I got it! What does that have to do with me! Seriously… I already said it wasn’t me…! Can I leave now? Enough is enough, this is so annoying…”
Timani scratched her hair, slipped on her slippers with a chibi Fire Dragon design—this was a craft she made herself because Xue Fei found it amusing.
The usually strong Fire Dragon girl was in a contradictory mood.
After straightening her pajamas, she hurriedly passed by the two, her steps quick like she was escaping.
Xue Fei was stifled by Xiya’s strong embrace, and when she finally heard the sound of a door slamming shut, Xiya finally released her.
Feeling the marvelous air of the world again, which she was almost suffocated out of consciousness from the large and soft embrace, Xue Fei turned her head to see a surprise!
Hey…! Guess what?
The Fire Lizard retreated and returned my bed.
Her two large purple eyes sparkled with bright and adoring light as Xue Fei faced Xiya, grinning widely.
“Wow! The Fire Lizard ran away! Returned the bed, Xiya, you really have a way, no bloodshed at all! Xi… Xiya…?”
Huh?
Why… why is she still holding me?
Xiya looked down silently; Xue Fei seemed to sense a twisted and dangerous aura emanating from her.
After a while.
Xiya raised her head, a smile that seemed to conceal something.
“Xue Fei? I think… it’s necessary for your sister and you to have a good talk~”
“Eh… what’s going on…?”
“Anyway, you just sit here!”
“Yes!”
