Chapter 0: My Good Disciple
Purple Ridge Arc-Moon Mountain.
The first ray of sunlight pierced the misty haze, scattering a thousand auspicious colors.
The two figures traversed the forest, walking down the mountain. Snakes, scorpions, lions, and tigers in the woods all gave them a wide berth.
As they gradually reached the foot of the mountain, a ten-year-old girl in a moon-white dress, a long sword on her back, and a seven-colored small gourd hanging from her waist, blinked her mischievous, intelligent eyes and said to the man beside her, “Master, you can send me off here.”
The man wore a green shirt. His handsomeness was stunning, unlike anyone from the mortal world. His face held a hint of wicked defiance, and his bearing was ethereal and transcendent. With every movement, he exuded an unworldly elegance.
Qin Gou looked deeply at the girl and said sternly, “Mu Man’er, when you go down the mountain this time, remember to act righteously and be a good person. You absolutely cannot follow in the footsteps of your senior brothers and sisters, bringing shame upon me.”
Mu Man’er nodded like a pecking chick, her innocent, beast-like beautiful eyes blinking. She said in a childish voice, “I will strictly follow Master’s orders. Master, don’t worry, don’t you always say I’m the most obedient among all your disciples? Man’er would never do evil outside.”
Qin Gou’s expression softened, and he smiled gently, “I’m just reminding you. You’ve always been well-behaved, sensible, and kind-hearted. After all, I watched you grow up, and I’m very confident in you.”
“Mm! Man’er is Master’s dear little padded jacket!” Mu Man’er grinned, revealing two pearly white buck teeth, looking very cute.
“Go. You’ve been on the mountain for many years, and your family must miss you dearly. You must cherish this three-month home visit.” Qin Gou smiled and gently patted Mu Man’er’s adorable little head.
“But, Master hasn’t done ‘that’ with Man’er yet.” Mu Man’er clasped her small hands together, stammering.
“‘That’?”
“You know, the one we always do!”
Qin Gou chuckled in amusement and slowly lowered himself. Mu Man’er stood on her tiptoes and planted a loud kiss on Qin Gou’s handsome cheek. Only then did she beam with joy and happily step back a few paces.
“Goodbye, Master! Man’er is leaving.”
“It’s good to travel outside more to broaden your horizons.”
“That won’t do! Man’er likes Master the most! Man’er will definitely come back to accompany Master as soon as possible.”
Qin Gou stood in place, dotingly watching Mu Man’er’s departing figure.
…
A month later.
Qin Gou sat under a spiritual tree, sipping fragrant tea while carefully reading the monthly report titled “Chronicles of the Cultivation World,” which he had obtained from a crane.
However, in the ‘Unusual Feats’ section, the text clearly recorded such a description.
The mysterious swordswoman Mu Man’er, with her single sword, defeated several experts in the Hidden Weapon Realm and stole a birthday convoy worth hundreds of thousands of spirit stones, enraging the Tian Kun Dynasty. Mu Man’er had already been ranked seventh on the Cultivation World’s Kill List’s black list, known as the Evil Sword Fairy.
“Pfft!”
Qin Gou spat out a mouthful of tea, then crushed the newspaper in his hand into powder with a palm strike, cursing, “Scoundrel!”
He had been in this world for a thousand years. He had only taught six disciples, and he had given each of them his utmost care, bestowing upon them countless spirit stones, cultivation techniques, and Emperor Weapons that would have stirred up a bloody storm in the Cultivation World.
But who would have thought that all these disciples, who were as docile as lambs before him, would invariably turn into notorious villains or terrifying demon lords hunted by everyone in the Cultivation World once they left the mountain?
The first disciple, ‘Zhao Xinting,’ was once just a sissy who would be stripped and teased by hooligans to tears just for taking a walk. Now, she was the Cult Master of the Purple Extreme Demonic Sect, her demonic flames soaring and her might shaking the four directions. The Tian Kun Dynasty, which planned to target Mu Man’er, was nothing in her eyes.
The second disciple, ‘Ye Qishuang,’ was such a pure, kind, and orchid-hearted beauty in front of him. Now, she had become the ancestor of the ‘absorbing Yang to replenish Yin’ technique and the Palace Lord of the Mystic Maiden Raksha Palace, feared by everyone in the Cultivation World. She had countless beautiful demonesses under her command, and no one knew how many innocent young cultivators she had drained.
The third disciple, ‘Kong Ling,’ was a young girl with a completely pure background. Even Qin Gou hadn’t realized that she was the reincarnation of the Demon Race Abyss’s eldest princess. Her memories awakened when she turned twenty, and she immediately returned to the Demon Race Abyss.
The fourth disciple, ‘Qiu Qianyue,’ had simply disappeared. But before she vanished, she had abducted the precious daughters of the sect leaders of ten major sects, including the Sword Questioning Sect and the Dark Holy Land.
The fifth…
The sixth was that little scoundrel Mu Man’er! That damned sweet little padded jacket!
What had she promised Master back then? To be a good person and act righteously. But less than a month after descending the mountain, she stole the Tian Kun Dynasty’s birthday convoy and became the notorious Evil Sword Fairy on the black list. The speed at which she was corrupted by the secular world was several times faster than all her senior brothers and sisters!
He knew that in the past few years, Zhao Xinting, Ye Qishuang, and Qiu Qianyue would occasionally return to Arc-Moon Mountain to play the role of good babies in front of him. It wasn’t until one day he caught them and intelligently discovered their evil deeds that they dared not return.
If this little brat dared to come back, he would spank her little butt until it was swollen!
“Ding!”
A voice devoid of any emotion rang out: “Congratulations to the host for successfully nurturing six disciples with excellent potential to graduate, successfully completing the ultimate mission. Reward: one ‘mortal body,’ unlock the qualification to leave Arc-Moon Mountain.”
Upon hearing the word ‘graduate,’ Qin Gou ignored what the system said next and roared furiously through gritted teeth, “Graduate? What do you mean? When did that brat Mu Man’er graduate? Does this mean she’s never coming back? Ahhh, it makes me so angry!”
Then, the dharma body formed by Qin Gou’s magical power gradually blurred and finally dissipated completely.
In a temple ten meters away, a stone statue of Qin Gou himself cracked open, revealing a fair-skinned body. This body was exactly the same in appearance as the false body formed by Qin Gou’s magical power earlier, except it was completely unclothed.
Qin Gou stood up and stretched his new body. He was initially quite surprised, but then his brow furrowed. “What’s going on? The potential of this body is so poor?”
“Ding. Congratulations to the host, the ‘Venerable Master’ system has been fully upgraded to the ‘Justice Will Prevail’ system.”
“Congratulations my foot! Tell me clearly, why is this body so weak!”
“As the host has completed the final mission of the ‘Venerable Master’ system, you have been rewarded with a body that can travel the world freely. If the host continues to stay within Arc-Moon Mountain with this body, you can still wield the power you once possessed.”
“So, as long as I’m within Arc-Moon Mountain, I’m still the awesome Master, but as soon as I step out, I become a powerless weakling?”
“The host can use the new ‘Justice Will Prevail’ system to rapidly improve himself.”
Hearing this, Qin Gou nodded and asked the system to display the menu.
Host: Qin Gou
Bloodline: Human Race
Potential: Four Elements, Low Grade
Special Constitution: None
Merit Points: 0
Cultivation Technique: None
Available Options: Lottery Draw, Shop, Cultivation Technique Infusion.
Qin Gou chose the lottery draw but found that he couldn’t open it due to having no chances. He then chose the shop, and instantly, a dazzling array of exchangeable items appeared in his mind.
“What? Besides exchanging cultivation techniques, weapons, and pills, this new system can even exchange for rare items, bloodlines, special constitutions, and even Natal Spirit Tools and Natal Dharma Aspects?!”
Heavenly Mandate Sword, Defeated Sword, Fate-Playing Gloves, and the Dark Night Evil Venerable Dharma Aspect, Supreme Great Illuminator King Dharma Aspect, Nightmare Celestial Master Dharma Aspect, and other famous Natal Spirit Tools and Dharma Aspects in the entire Cultivation World appeared before his eyes, making Qin Gou unbelievably astonished.
There were also many more valuable Spirit Tools and Dharma Aspects that Qin Gou had never even heard of.
“System, if I cultivate a Natal Dharma Aspect myself and then exchange for another one, doesn’t that mean I have two Dharma Aspects?”
“The host can possess multiple Natal Spirit Tools and Natal Dharma Aspects like the Many Treasures Sacred Body, without any restrictions.”
“Amazing.”
For the first time, Qin Gou found the system’s emotionless mechanical voice incredibly pleasant. He tried to open the cultivation technique exchange page and was once again astonished: “What the heck is ‘Eight-Nine Profound Technique’? What the heck are ‘Nine Deaths, Eternal Life Method’ and ‘Ten Thousand Ghosts Night Parade Technique’? The ‘Heavenly Travel Technique’ that I taught my eldest disciple Zhao Xinting and cultivated myself is only ranked 37th in here?! System, are you kidding me?”
“Everything you see is real. Don’t doubt yourself.”
“Then tell me quickly how to obtain those so-called Merit points!” Qin Gou looked enviously at the incredibly powerful cultivation techniques, Spirit Tools, and Dharma Aspects, but they were all exceedingly expensive.
“Ding, New Mission Published.”
“Mission One, Punish Evil and Promote Good: Defeat ten evil perpetrators. Reward: 100 Merit Points, one ‘Perfect Disguise Talisman.’ Time limit: five days. No penalty for failure.”
“Mission Two, Discipline the Wicked: Find Mu Man’er and spank her butt more than one hundred times. Reward: Special Constitution ‘Enlightenment True Body,’ 1000 Merit Points, one lottery draw chance. Time limit: thirty days. Failure penalty: All hair on the host’s body will fall off and will not regrow.”
