Chapter 0: 119. Boldness
“Where did that guy go?”
After sensing again and judging from the spiritual power fluctuations remaining in the room, Qin Gou should have left a long time ago.
The Nine Saint Monarch, who was quite proud, was both ashamed and angry. “This brat, after I, his master, took the initiative to come here to discuss cultivation matters in the Profound Realm with him, I missed him!”
However, just as Luo Wei Ban was about to leave with a suppressed temper.
Qin Gou, who had also failed to find anyone, happened to return to his room.
“Saint Monarch?” Qin Gou asked in surprise. “Why are you here?”
“Don’t misunderstand!” Luo Wei Ban was startled and quickly said, “I, your master, came to discuss cultivation matters with you. And you, what were you doing for so long before?”
“Isn’t this a coincidence? I was also heading to your small building, planning to discuss cultivation as well.” As he spoke, Qin Gou smiled slightly, and with a wave of his hand, he closed the door from a distance.
Seeing this, Luo Wei Ban was bewildered. “Why close the door?”
“To discuss cultivation, one naturally needs peace and quiet, don’t you agree, Saint Monarch?” Qin Gou said as a matter of course.
“I misunderstood.”
“Misunderstood what?”
“I thought you were going to boldly overstep your bounds!”
To say such a thing directly was indeed remarkable.
“What kind of talk is that?” Qin Gou was ashamed.
Luo Wei Ban, however, couldn’t help but gently rub her forehead. “My fault, I forgot you don’t have those memories.”
Qin Gou immediately teased, “Does that mean if I had those memories, I could ‘boldly overstep my bounds’ as I pleased?”
“What are you talking about!” Luo Wei Ban’s face immediately turned red.
“Just kidding.” Qin Gou spread his hands. The conversation, which was too stiff, suddenly shifted. “Didn’t you say, Saint Monarch, that you wanted to discuss cultivation matters in the Profound Realm with me?”
“Stop right there?”
“What did you say, Saint Monarch?” Qin Gou was confused.
“Cough.” Luo Wei Ban’s face turned even redder, but this did not prevent her from quickly regaining her dignified demeanor. With her hands behind her back, she said, “Indeed. Since you have amnesia, I thought I should supplement you with some necessary knowledge about cultivation in the Profound Realm to help you avoid detours. And you, what aspect did you want to discuss with me?”
“As I said before, we must spare no effort to improve as quickly as possible…”
“Are you going to say dual cultivation?”
Qin Gou never expected that Luo Wei Ban would see through him instantly.
“You know?” Qin Gou asked in surprise. “You already knew that our special bloodlines can be improved through this method?”
Luo Wei Ban lightly nodded her head. After a moment of hesitation, she said, “I refuse.”
“What?”
Qin Gou was stunned. He had indeed thought that Luo Wei Ban might, as before, want to wait a while longer. But he never imagined that she would directly refuse, especially at such a critical juncture.
Were their proper dao companion identities fake?
However, Luo Wei Ban’s answer was also very strange. “I… I’m really confused. When I see your face, I always inexplicably overlook the fact that you have amnesia.”
This was the second time she had said that she overlooked Qin Gou’s amnesia.
Then, Luo Wei Ban resumed her serious demeanor. “However, this matter can indeed be put aside for now.”
“Little Luo, you’re a bit strange today.”
“Good boy, who are you calling?” Lord Saint Monarch’s beautiful eyes widened as if her tail had been stepped on.
“Why do you always mention whether I’ve lost my memory or not? And what connection do these things we’re discussing now have to that memory?” Qin Gou pondered.
“It was just a slip of the tongue from your master!” Luo Wei Ban said without hesitation.
“Is there a possibility that I’ve only lost some memories, and haven’t completely become another person with a different soul? So now, I can still vaguely understand what you mean, Saint Monarch?” As he spoke, Qin Gou moved closer to Luo Wei Ban.
Luo Wei Ban’s eyes flickered with panic. “Your master has no idea what you’re talking about. And why are you suddenly getting so close?”
“Nothing much, just a wholesome and innocent hug.” Qin Gou smiled.
Luo Wei Ban did not evade or make any attempt to stop him. Embracing Luo Wei Ban’s full, soft, and fragrant body, Qin Gou continued, “Thus, Saint Monarch has indirectly proven it to me.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about!”
“It’s fine. Anyway, I’ve already decided to ‘boldly overstep my bounds’.”
“You… presumptuous!” Luo Wei Ban’s pretty face flushed crimson as she cried out.
“That’s right.”
Luo Wei Ban stomped her small foot. “You unruly disciple, you always take your master’s words with a grain of salt and never listen to my discipline!”
“That’s absolutely right. I’m doing the same now. I’m forcing you, and you, Saint Monarch, obviously have no intention yourself!” Qin Gou chuckled and played along.
“If you know and still commit the offense, that’s double the punishment!” Luo Wei Ban said anxiously.
Qin Gou nodded and said solemnly, “I estimate that I’m already beyond saving anyway.”
“Your master now has a newborn Dao Body!”
“Ah?”
“Why ‘ah’! Didn’t you see me revive?”
Qin Gou seemed to realize something. “So that’s why we need to perform this mysterious little ritual of ‘you say one word, I say another’?”
Luo Wei Ban was extremely shy and gritted her silver teeth. “Qin Gou, I’m really going to get angry.”
“Got it. I’ll continue now.” Old Qin’s tone was very straightforward.
“Let go of me.”
“That’s the plan.” Saying this, Qin Gou made Luo Wei Ban release herself from his embrace. Then, he read monotonously, “Ah, I’m forcing you now. Hurry up and take off your clothes yourself.”
“Dream on!”
“Then shall I help you?”
“Presumptuous! Master, I have nothing more to say to you!” With that, Luo Wei Ban waved her hand, opening the door wide, and shot Qin Gou a furious glance before storming away.
Qin Gou followed without hesitation.
“Ban, are we going to your room together now?”
“Stop talking nonsense here!”
“Cough, actually, I discovered earlier that there wasn’t a single daily necessity in my room just now. So, even though it was my room before, I shouldn’t have lived there for a long time back then, right?” Qin Gou reasoned.
“You won’t die if you don’t speak.” As they spoke, the two of them had already walked directly into Luo Wei Ban’s small building.
“I’m not closing the door to obstruct you, just because I’m afraid you’ll break it.”
“That’s completely unreasonable of you!” Qin Gou couldn’t hold back any longer, not knowing whether to laugh or cry. If stubbornness were a cultivation, the Nine Saint Monarch would have easily dominated the Immortal Realm.
“Alright, no more messing around. Now, your master will speak seriously.” Luo Wei Ban touched her hot little face and suddenly extended one hand. “Just… only once!”
“Oh.”
“I’m serious, I’m not joking around anymore!”
“No, you must be lying and joking!”
