Chapter 0.4: Demon Master is Here Talisman
On the road to Mu Man’er’s hometown, Guyue City, Qin Gou paid some spirit stones and hitched a ride on a caravan. All the caravan guards were cultivators.
Halfway through the journey, the caravan leader, Wei Yuanzhong, waved his hand, ordering the spirit beast pulling the cart to stop for some spirit liquid to recover its strength. This gave the guards and Qin Gou time to eat.
“Little Brother Qin, the journey is still long. Come, eat something quickly,” the caravan leader Wei Yuanzhong called out enthusiastically.
Qin Gou nodded, got off the carriage, and took out a bottle of spirit wine, Jade Nectar, from his Nas Ring to share with the guards.
The guards initially declined, but when Qin Gou opened the wine bottle, their noses twitched, and their eyes gleamed. The unbelievably fragrant aroma made it impossible to refuse.
After several rounds of wine and food, Wei Yuanzhong stared intently at Qin Gou and grinned, “It’s about time.”
The other guards also wore knowing smiles.
Only Qin Gou looked bewildered, completely clueless.
“Little Brother Qin, do you feel dizzy, weak in the limbs, and your spiritual power is blocked and unable to circulate?” Wei Yuanzhong sneered, his face contorted. “Your cultivation is only at the Qi Gathering Realm, so you probably can’t resist the poison, right?”
“What?!” Qin Gou’s expression changed slightly, and he cried out, “You despicable scoundrel, you poisoned me!”
“This is what you get for not taking the right path when you had the chance. daring to ride on our Chi-Luo Caravan’s cart, you are nothing but a piece of cake delivered to our doorstep, a cultivator with no worldly experience,” Wei Yuanzhong said contemptuously, looking at Qin Gou with an evil grin.
“No worldly experience? Who are you calling that?” Qin Gou smiled calmly, showing no signs of poisoning.
At the same time, behind him, all the guards who had been cackling maniacally moments ago collapsed, legs flailing, foaming at the mouth.
Wei Yuanzhong turned pale with fright, his pupils contracting violently. He shouted, “You… you despicable scoundrel, you poisoned us!”
“Presumptuous! Watch your mouth. Is it called poisoning when one acts righteously?” Qin Gou drew the three-foot long sword from his back, his voice full of righteous indignation as he declared, “Today, I shall act on behalf of heaven! You wicked individuals, come up and accept your death!”
Wei Yuanzhong felt the surge of aura from Qin Gou and gritted his teeth. “Damn rascal, you’ve been hiding it well! Your true cultivation is actually at the Artifact Forging Realm. What a pity that a mere newly-entered Artifact Forging Realm mongrel dares to act so presumptuously in front of me.”
As soon as he finished speaking, Wei Yuanzhong transformed his palm into a claw, his claws entwined with chilling ghost energy that hissed in the air. He had already reached the middle stage of the Artifact Forging Realm, and his Natal Spirit Tool was beginning to take shape.
A pair of ghost claws, like vipers and strange pythons, struck directly at Qin Gou’s vital points at bizarre, twisted angles.
Qin Gou, being a minor realm behind, couldn’t confront him head-on. However, just a few days ago, he had used Ye Qishuang’s selfless offering of 500 points of merit, which not only advanced his cultivation to the early Artifact Forging Realm but also brought the supreme cultivation technique, Illusory Sea Tide, to the second level. Even the Mad Demon Staff Technique had reached a minor accomplishment. Naturally, he was not the same person as before.
“Pfft!”
Wei Yuanzhong’s claws pierced Qin Gou’s chest, and with the highly corrosive ghost energy, easily ripped him open and shattered his body!
Wei Yuanzhong glanced disdainfully at Qin Gou’s corpse, then let out a triumphant laugh. “Hahaha, that’s all you’ve got, little rascal? You dared to be so arrogant. This is the consequence of underestimating me, Wei Yuanzhong!”
However, in the next moment, Qin Gou’s mangled corpse shattered like glass and completely disappeared before Wei Yuanzhong’s eyes.
“This… how is this possible?!” Wei Yuanzhong’s eyes widened, and he felt a chill run down his spine.
With a *swish*, a sharp sword pierced his heart from behind.
“This… an illusory art? A junior in the early Artifact Forging Realm cultivating illusory arts… Truly a despicable and shameless wretch…” Wei Yuanzhong spat out a mouthful of blood, cursing as he fell to the ground in regret.
“How can you fathom the power of Illusory Sea Tide? And you still cursed me as despicable and shameless at your last moments! My new system is called ‘Justice Will Prevail,’ do you understand justice? A hero’s duty is to the nation and the people! Truly an evil person, impossible to communicate with!”
It turned out that Wei Yuanzhong, who was only at the middle stage of the Artifact Forging Realm and did not have any defensive divine sense attack magic treasures on him, had already been enveloped by the secret technique ‘Mirror Still Water’ from the first level of Qin Gou’s Illusory Sea Tide. He had completely fallen into a phantasm.
“Ding. Congratulations to the host for killing a wicked cultivator at the Artifact Forging Realm. Mission ‘A Small Display of Skill’ completed. Reward: A ‘Demon Master is Here’ talisman.”
A talisman, completely black with a demonic totem painted in blood-red, appeared out of thin air in Qin Gou’s hand.
The system provided the talisman’s effects: it could perfectly simulate the aura of any cultivator within two hours. It could even freely cast various disaster-level spells that only truly mighty figures could use. However, all of this was merely a simulation and had no actual power. It was truly an essential item for traveling and for showing off one’s power.
Qin Gou was very satisfied with the effect of the ‘Demon Master is Here’ talisman, but he wasn’t happy with the name.
“System, get out here and explain yourself! I am a Celestial Master, not a Demon Master! This talisman should be called ‘Celestial Master is Here’ talisman, no matter what! What the heck is ‘Demon Master’? Are you going to betray me too!”
…
At the same time.
In a secluded, otherworldly paradise.
A beautiful woman in a dark ink dress tied a red cloth around her eyes, smiling sweetly, “Sisters, don’t make a sound. Let me catch you.”
This person was Qiu Qian Yue, the fourth disciple of the Demon Master Qin Gou, who had abducted many beloved daughters of prominent sects and then vanished without a trace.
Beside her were ten charming and beautiful women, each with a unique and alluring demeanor.
“Oh my, Sister Qiu, we’re so bored of playing this game every day.”
“Yeah, when can we finally go out into the world again and have some fun?”
“Oh?” Hearing this, Qiu Qian Yue removed the red cloth from her eyes and pursed her lips into a smile. “Sisters, do you find it tedious to stay in this remote, uninhabited village?”
“Mm!”
“We want to go on a spring outing with Sister Qiu.”
“Sister Qiu, are you afraid that our elders will come looking for trouble, which is why you’ve been hiding here?”
“Afraid?” Qiu Qian Yue’s face lit up with a smile, her beautiful eyes narrowing like crescent moons. “I have practiced the Divine Footwork Technique to the peak. Besides the Demon Master himself, who in this world can do anything to me? As for my Master, he is unwilling to come out of seclusion for some special reason. Naturally, I can go anywhere I please!”
“Since all you beautiful sisters unanimously agree that you don’t want to stay in this small mountain village any longer, we’ll pack up and re-enter the Jianghu tomorrow! Let the entire world witness my peerless grace once more! And I’ll capture a few more good sisters for you!”
“Sister Qiu, you’re so wicked!”
