Chapter 0 – 90. System’s Minor Actions
Primordial Malevolence.
This is the second ability unleashed by the ‘Demon Ancestor’ Dharma Image after Qin Gou attained the Realm Lord realm.
To others, it appeared as though Qin Gou had destroyed Ying Wusheng’s Dharma Image with a mere glance. However, both Qin Gou, the caster, and Ying Wusheng himself could perceive more.
In that instant, from Ying Wusheng’s perspective, the vast sky was torn open. A monstrous, bizarre hand overflowing with deathly aura, as if breaking free from the infernal pits, easily grasped his own Dharma Image by the throat with a single move.
An ancient and profound fear erupted within Ying Wusheng’s mind. From that moment on, he could no longer control his Dharma Image in the slightest, and could only watch as it self-destructed at an exceedingly rapid pace in an overly grotesque manner.
“What the hell is this?!”
Deep terror compounded by the pain of his Dharma Image’s destruction, Ying Wusheng’s eyes turned crimson, as if they were about to bleed.
“This is a method I devised to minimize the damage caused by the wide-ranging offensive of your Dharma Image,” Qin Gou reiterated, urging Ying Wusheng not to act recklessly. After all, even a spiritual flower in this place was a valuable asset of his Arc-Moon Mountain’s third disciple!
As soon as he finished speaking.
Qin Gou’s ear registered a sound transmission from Yan Suoyun: “Senior Brother, allow me to unleash the Profound Realm.”
Following this, Qin Gou nodded slightly, deliberately refraining from resisting with any spiritual power. The scene before his eyes then abruptly changed.
Beside a clear lake shimmering with rippling waves, only Qin Gou and Ying Wusheng remained.
“Was it the Arid Prison Demon Lord who made a move?”
Sensing the aura of this Little Profound Realm, Ying Wusheng immediately understood.
“Very good. This way, we avoid attracting too much attention, prevent complications, and it also makes it more convenient for us to fight one-on-one,” Qin Gou said with a light smile, observing Ying Wusheng.
“One-on-one?”
Ying Wusheng’s narrow eyes squinted, intentionally trying to disturb Qin Gou’s state of mind, and his voice adopted a sinister tone: “Qin Gou, it seems you’ve misunderstood something from the very beginning! I have never guaranteed that I would fight you alone. So, perhaps at any moment… the Arid Prison will suddenly join forces with me, and we’ll kill you in one move!”
After all, as long as Qin Gou had to divide his attention to constantly guard against surprise attacks from elsewhere during the fight, his combat power would undoubtedly be greatly diminished.
“Then I’ll be waiting.”
As he spoke, Qin Gou suddenly took a step forward. His colossal Divine Feather Dharma Image appeared behind him. With a single thought, countless sacred snow-white feathers shot out like meteors.
However, Ying Wusheng, who had subconsciously intended to counter with his own Dharma Image, suddenly stiffened. He quickly struck out with a palm, summoning layers of ghostly energy that resembled dark clouds covering the sun.
“Is your Excellency concerned about something? Don’t worry, go all out,” Qin Gou said upon noticing the other party’s slight oddity. “Previously, I truly didn’t want you causing destruction elsewhere. But now that those worries are gone, I won’t resort to the same trick again. It wouldn’t be much fun, right? This Qin can guarantee it with his character!”
Although, Qin Gou wouldn’t have been able to use ‘Primordial Malevolence’ on the same person twice anyway.
“Do you humans always have to speak in such a roundabout way?” Ying Wusheng frowned, his eyes filled with indignation. “Guarantee with the character of you, Qin Gou of Arc-Moon Mountain? How many people in your own human territory would believe that?
When those words come from your mouth, doesn’t it mean you will 100% use the same trick again?!”
“You, you damn it… Believe it or not!” Qin Gou’s face darkened, and he gritted his teeth.
“Heh, do you really take me for a fool who counts money for those who trick him?”
With a cold shout, Ying Wusheng formed a sword-finger sign at his chest. Seven crystal-clear, spherical Natal Spirit Tools suddenly shot towards Qin Gou’s location.
Qin Gou extended a finger, and all seven spherical Spirit Tools were easily shattered into fragments, but they still remained suspended in mid-air.
“This is…”
Next, under Qin Gou’s gaze, the numerous Spirit Tool fragments emitted a brilliant light, transforming into cultivators with killing intent in their eyes.
Their true bodies were solid, their appearances varied, encompassing multiple races such as ‘humans, demons, and sea beasts.’ Each possessed considerable cultivation, clearly not mere illusions formed by spiritual power or illusory arts.
A dense crowd, like an army of thousands, surrounded Qin Gou. In a flash, Ying Wusheng’s true body seemed to have merged into them, though it was unclear when.
“Ying Wusheng, are all these cultivators whose souls you annihilated and whose true bodies you occupied?” Qin Gou asked gravely, scanning the figures before him.
“Qin Gou, I’ll see you dead!”
All the cultivators formed from Ying Wusheng’s Spirit Tools spoke in unison, their voices like thunder.
Qin Gou’s mouth twitched slightly. “No, I’m just asking you a question. Why are you bringing so many people together to shout and scare me?”
“Die!”
With another roar, all the cultivators attacked simultaneously. A massive amount of spiritual light, chaotic and dazzling, created a terrifying spectacle.
“Still don’t get it, huh?”
Qin Gou shook his head helplessly. He tapped his foot, treading on air, and levitated high into the sky. His twin pupils were rapidly filled with a verdant color.
“I already told you, I only need you to respond alone.”
“Ying Wusheng!”
As he spoke, Qin Gou silently chanted ‘Summon All Phenomena’ and extended a palm towards the crowd of cultivators below, clenching it with force.
“Qin Gou, you?!”
With a cry, Ying Wusheng’s true body, his face etched with disbelief, was as if dragged by an invisible giant hand, instantly ascending into the sky and appearing before Qin Gou.
His strange posture, suspended in mid-air, was remarkably like being cradled in a princess carry by a considerate, invisible person.
But before Ying Wusheng could speak further, Qin Gou transformed his fist into a palm and struck down forcefully from above.
“Boom.”
Caught completely off guard, Ying Wusheng was sent crashing into the earth from above. The immense impact force caused many of the cultivator-formed Spirit Tools to be sent flying, while others simply dissipated into wisps of spiritual light.
Seeing this, Qin Gou, while realizing that these cultivators were not true materialized bodies and fending off the relentless attacks of another wave of Spirit Tool-formed cultivators, found his attention unexpectedly diverted by another matter.
Within Qin Gou’s Sea of Consciousness.
He could still only see Ah Xi’s pair of materialized snow-white legs. The problem was that, for some reason, her little feet were now making ‘patter-patter’ sounds as she ran back and forth incessantly. After observing for a while, Old Qin finally understood…
The old pal’s footsteps bore a striking resemblance to his own current evasive movements, only half a beat slower. It was clear that Ah Xi was imitating him!
Looking at her wide, sweeping steps, my goodness, this creature seemed even more excited and exhilarated than its host, who was actually engaged in a fierce battle!
As for why the system was doing this, Qin Gou, based on his years of deep understanding of their relationship, instantly reached a conclusion…
“Ah Xi, are you pretending to control a mecha here?”
