End of Volume
Hello everyone, I am Yi Weixie.
So far, the story content of Volume Two of the “Supplement Handbook for Sub-Humans” has come to an end.
Everyone has their own opinions on the plot. Here, I just want to share a small point regarding the creative aspect, as well as some previews of the next volume’s content.
Firstly, many readers have noticed that the character I really want to write about in this volume is Elizabeth. She was originally intended to be the human female protagonist, but in the end, I made her a female supporting character and used another plan to tell her story.
Earlier in this volume, through the mouth of Jasmine’s mother, I wrote out the theme of this volume: “Love is a blessing, and love is also a curse.” This phrase cannot describe any of the characters that appear; it is specifically designed for Elizabeth.
She is a bad woman with both good and bad sides, and I spent the entire volume exploring this characteristic.
When she is not present, all the setbacks and schemes that Fisher encounters come from her. This is her cold-blooded, ruthless, and crazy yet calculated side; when she appears before the readers, she is that pitiful Elizabeth, who loves but cannot attain, and not only her love for Fisher but also her sense of responsibility towards Nali. She knows well that handing Nali over to Dexter has no future.
Note: In the apocalyptic timeline without the “Supplement Handbook for Sub-Humans,” she actually ends up marrying Fisher, thus giving up her plan. So, in the world that gets obliterated by the four destroyers, there will be a subtle change after Elizabeth ascends to the throne.
Therefore, regarding such a character, I foresee that readers will have polarized views about her. Some will love her for her good qualities, while others will dislike her intensely for her bad ones.
Rationally speaking, designing her to be a beloved and less problematic “Yandere” type, followed by creating a chaotic situation, might be the proper way to make money in web fiction, and I understand this very well. However, in the end, I still did not want to give up on this character, especially when I write female characters, I tend to put myself into them, which led me to determine from her first appearance that Elizabeth is that kind of person.
The foreshadowing I included earlier in Chapter 150 clearly indicates that when Elizabeth made her first appearance, her fate was already sealed. I hardly changed the outline concerning any of the chapters and content you have seen, including Anna.
In the original plan, Anna was never meant to die; she is destined to be reborn as the “Treasure of Life.”
This can be proven with foreshadowing. Anyone else who uses the “Flesh Implantation” technique, such as the artificial sorceresses from the Sorceress Research Society or Blake, will have their appearances distorted as a result, but only Anna will not. After gathering all her sisters’ flesh, she becomes the most beautiful person.
Erwind’s earlier experiments failed precisely because none of the test subjects had a belief as pure as Anna and her sisters. Therefore, Anna was rewarded for such belief, granting her rebirth, and she will appear in future chapters.
Of course, I am not saying that this volume is particularly well-written because it is quite visible that it has quite a few flaws, such as battle power, the enhancement of the male protagonist’s abilities, etc.
Especially such design choices can be very unfriendly to readers who have been following along, as there will be some oddities before the full picture appears.
However, once a book is left without following readers, it can be quite detrimental for the creator, and sometimes it truly leads to a sense of contradiction.
Therefore, I must sincerely thank all the readers who have continuously followed along, and I appreciate your support. I will work on improving this situation in the next volume.
Oh, right, about Jasmine.
Actually, as the female protagonist, her current personality is not what I ultimately want to portray. I do not wish for a silly and sweet image to be her label. There will be dedicated scenes to develop her character, so you don’t have to worry about her image.
Finally, let’s briefly discuss the content of the next volume.
The next volume will take place in the Northern Region, and I have already made some basic setups in the last few chapters, which I will expand upon later.
And, happily, a lot of subhumans will appear in the next volume!
The main force in the next volume will be sub-humans, which just corresponds to Fisher’s use of the “Supplement Handbook for Sub-Humans” to confront the main line of the “Life Reincarnation.” Of course, there will also be other side plots, but according to the outline, the next volume will differ significantly in style from this one, becoming a bit more lighthearted. In fact, writing this doesn’t require too much effort.
Leaving Elizabeth and Saint Nali behind, Fisher will finally begin to let go of himself completely. Furthermore, the next volume will introduce another female protagonist, and my focus will mainly be on her.
Oh, and one last thing: theoretically, there will now be five female sub-humans in the story.
Originally, there was a female supporting sub-human character with a significant role in the outline, whom I feel is also a very charming lady, so I will enhance her presence later.
So, with that, Volume Two ends here, and I will soon begin Volume Three,
“The Sky God of the Northern Region”
