A Letter to Book Friends for the New Year
Hello everyone, I am Yi Weixie.
I suddenly saw the discussion in the author group today, and since Qidian is hosting a New Year’s message activity for authors, I suddenly had the idea to participate.
I have been busy with work lately, so I was mostly unaware of Qidian’s activities and relied on reminders from book friends. Generally, my writing process on Qidian is pretty simple: I write the manuscript and upload it, read the book reviews, and aside from some straightforward monthly vote activities, I don’t manage much else (after all, I just want to lie down and rest after finishing writing every day).
Now that I have some free time and discovered this activity, I also have a few things I want to say to my book friends, so I wrote this early New Year’s blessing, hoping to spread some festive cheer.
Aside from the part about the red envelope, I want to first discuss the future plans for this book. I have occasionally revealed some information in chapters or groups, but inevitably, some readers might not have seen it; additionally, there will be a bit of my casual chatting outside of writing, which won’t be too long.
First of all, as I mentioned before, this book has a total of six volumes; it won’t be more or less.
Excluding the already written “Crimson Dragon Queen,” “Mysterious Child of the Sea (Golden Elizabeth),” and “God of the Sky in the Northern Region,” there are three more volumes to come. The fourth volume and the sixth volume, which serves as the story’s conclusion, will be shorter than the second and third volumes but longer than the first volume, while the fifth volume, featuring the Apocalypse Prophecy and intense chaos, will be the longest.
Allow me to keep specific details under wraps, but rest assured, the overall direction of this book was set at the very beginning of my creation and has not changed, including many foreshadowing elements that have been present since the story started and are only now becoming apparent. Furthermore, there are more reasons I have buried that have yet to be revealed; they will play varying roles later on.
Therefore, I can responsibly say to everyone now that the story’s ending is without regret and is a Happy Ending.
This volume is still some distance from the conclusion, but it will definitely finish within January, with the remaining parts mainly focusing on Valentina, as there are still many of her sweet moments yet to be unfolded (the content of the prophecy has not yet been realized), and then all the storylines in the third volume will come to a close.
I won’t give away too much about the plot, so let’s shift gears and talk about other content in creating this book.
In fact, I am already very satisfied with the performance of this book. Writing is only my side job; I focus on creation because of my passion. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be working hard to come home and write. For me, as long as my story has readers, it is very fulfilling.
Especially since the current average subscriptions have reached 7,000, with 2,700 daily subscriptions. It might not seem like much compared to other big-name authors, but for me, who previously hadn’t even broken a thousand in average subscriptions, this is more than enough, and I am very content. Moving forward, I will also put in the effort to finish this story seriously.
Here, I want to thank all the readers who enjoy my stories and content. I sincerely appreciate all of you who have followed me to this point; thank you for your support.
Finally, I wish all the readers who see this a Happy New Year, and let’s work hard together in the coming year!
