The Handbook for Completing Demi-Human Girls – Chapter 52

Chapter 52: 51. Eyes

“Fisher!”

At this moment, the ancient book handed to Fisher by Feilon began to emit a faint warmth, just like the Supplement Handbook for Sub-Humans in his arms. This indicated that they were essentially the same type of object. Since that was the case, this Soul Supplement Handbook should also not be seen by others.

In the distance, Raphael ran over quickly. Fisher held the Soul Supplement Handbook in his hand, yet she seemed not to notice it at all, only looking at the damaged Feilon on the ground and the wounded Fisher.

Raphael rushed over anxiously, wanting to reach out to embrace and comfort Fisher, but she was afraid of touching his wounds and hesitated, her tail behind her shaking restlessly.

Fisher quietly tucked the Soul Supplement Handbook into his chest, placing it alongside the previous Supplement Handbook for Sub-Humans. The Inner City had essentially been destroyed by the battle between Fisher and Feilon, and chaos was gradually erupting outside. Surely the soldiers outside had heard the commotion in the Inner City and were coming this way.

They needed to leave quickly. Fisher attempted to move, but pain shot through his body from every direction. He closed his eyes and took a breath, and Raphael, who was next to him, helped to steady him.

“Thank you.”

Raphael looked at him with her azure eyes, but as he turned to look at her, she turned away. Her voice became somewhat unclear, “You really don’t have to thank me.”

“What about Ral and the others?”

“They are up there, they’re alright.”

Raphael was unsure if she thought of the earlier events with Nana in the cave, including the many Subhumans she had killed. Although they were just soulless shells, Raphael could still feel the loss of life.

After seeing so many Subhumans killed by humans, this time, however, a fellow Subhuman had cruelly killed those Subhumans. Raphael’s thoughts began to darken as she started to notice the internal problems within the Subhumans. Certainly, humans invading their homeland was the root cause, but didn’t the Subhumans have any issues of their own?

Huddling together and isolating themselves, indifferent to one another, dispersing until they were struck down one by one by humans.

“That’s good.”

Fisher leaned against Raphael, looking toward the Lord’s Mansion, and saw a disheveled blonde Minotaur girl walking down with a vacant expression. It was none other than Nana. The golden ornament on her head had vanished, but it was unclear what will had compelled her to escape from that cave.

“Lady Feilon…”

Her legs seemed too weak to even walk down the slope of the Lord’s Mansion. After a few steps, she rolled down the slope, landing on the ground, covered in wounds, where she lay for a second or two before raising her head to see the lifeless Feilon.

“No, no, don’t, Lady Feilon!”

Nana’s once gentle face had become completely hollow, as if everything inside her had been cruelly stripped away. Her low murmurs slowly turned into disbelief until the death of Feilon was completely etched into her mind, and only then did she realize what had happened.

“Lady Feilon! No! My, my, my Lady Feilon!”

Unable to even cry, she covered her face with her hands, fingers digging into her skin, blood seeping from under her nails. Her eyes were wide open, seemingly wanting to cry, but all that flowed from her eyeballs was blood.

Raphael looked at her with some pity but felt no sympathy.

Yet beside her, Fisher’s expression suddenly changed. In that instant, every hair on his body stood on end, as if some great horror had descended.

He stared intently at the distant Nana, only to see her flowing blood slowly being tinted with blue. Her soul was instantly stripped away— not just hers, also a small glowing dot from her lower abdomen.

This was the manifestation of Soul-Loss Syndrome.

Losing her horn, losing Feilon was the greatest blow to Nana. The overwhelming despair caused a tremor in her soul, leading to its removal.

Taken.

Fisher’s eyes widened as he saw a gigantic and illusory thing appear behind Nana against the night sky.

It was an eye, resembling that of a human, a Subhuman, and also an animal. The pure black pupil seemed to overflow with the entire galaxy, as if millions of souls were shimmering within it.

But the most astonishing aspect was that the eyelids were not like normal eyes; they resembled the upper and lower lips of a mouth, making the entire structure seem like both an eyeball and a mouth.

The souls of Nana and her child were quickly swallowed by that eye as if they were crossing through a door, vanishing into the galaxy within the eyeball. Little by little, the blue light from Feilon’s corpse also rose with an invisible force and disappeared into that eye-like entity.

Fisher’s body suddenly stiffened. After swallowing their souls, the enormous eye did not leave but hovered in midair, locking eyes with Fisher on the ground.

The eye seemed to curve in amusement or joy. Its curved form, smiling because of its appearance, resembled a mouth that twisted into a sorrowful shape, the upper and lower lips opening and closing, slowly emitting a sound that seemed like murmurs yet also like the clang of a bell.

“Fisher.”

“Well done.”

“You owe me one.”

“Hehe.”

In the next second, that gigantic entity merged with the bright moonlight like a black hole, disappearing into the darkness of the sky, leaving an awestruck Fisher frozen in place, drenched in cold sweat.

“Fisher! Fisher!”

“It’s… fine.”

Amidst Raphael’s repeated calls, he finally snapped out of his daze, turning to look at her. She looked at him worriedly, seemingly unaware that a gigantic thing had appeared before them moments ago.

She… couldn’t see it.

“Hah.”

In the distance, Nana, like those Subhumans who had their souls taken, became like a living corpse. She struggled to stand but fell to the ground with weakened legs. Beside her was the underground plaza where Fisher and Feilon had once descended, now filled with flames due to their battle.

She blankly fell into the fiery underground structure, until she completely disappeared from sight.

Fisher took a deep breath, momentarily pushing down what he had seen and heard. This was not the time for distractions; soldiers outside were approaching rapidly. They had to leave the city immediately, or things would get troublesome.

“Raphael, gather Ral and the others; we need to leave now.”

Please follow and vote. Thank you, everyone.

This is a century that glows with the brilliance of human civilization. This is a world where steam engines, magic, and demi-humans coexist. This is an indictment of crimes committed in the name of exploration. “The Crimson Dragon Queen will rise first, reducing all of humanity to ashes with her flames of fury.” “The mysterious Child of the Sea will summon massive waves to wash away the sins of mankind.” “The Sky God will leave the remnants of humanity with nowhere to hide, no refuge to seek.” “The Undying Witch will write their epitaphs with magic.” “And I… will write the next chapter of the new world.” ……Years later, after receiving an apocalyptic prophecy and a miraculous item known as the Demi-Human Girl Completion Handbook, Fischer hoped he would be remembered as: The pioneer of demi-human studies, the savior of human civilization, the dove of peace, and the messiah. And not as: The one who got chopped with a cleaver, the guy who got torn apart, or the messiah split into quarters.
