End of Volume
Hello everyone, I am Yi Weixie.
So far, the story of “Supplement Handbook for Sub-Humans” Volume Four has come to an end. The upcoming Volume Five, which is the longest part of the book, is about to arrive. Most of the foreshadowing and storylines of the entire worldview have been addressed, and the next volume will be the time for resolution.
As usual, this end-of-volume note is divided into two parts: one discussing the creative aspects of this volume, and the other providing a preview of the next volume.
In my opinion, the interesting point in writing stories like “time-space closed loops” is that the outcome of this segment of the story is something everyone already knows, but the origin and formation process remain unknown.
Writing in the past means narrating a story whose conclusion is already known but is still filled with uncertainties.
So far, everyone already knows some of the outcomes of present events and how they formed; some may know some outcomes without knowing how they formed; or some may not know the outcomes yet are aware of how past events formed.
Similar to Hela, many readers guessed from her initial appearance that she is that bad demon, yet they do not understand why she appears as an angel.
In fact, before this volume, I had already described through Emhart’s tone several times how terrifying this demon is. It wasn’t until the end of the third volume that she truly appeared, revealing a hint of her nature.
In this volume, I put all her imagery in Fisher’s perspective as much as possible.
Thus, what you see is a bad woman who enjoys teasing others yet is exceptionally charming.
The only unusual moments are in the last few chapters, where she reveals her identity, kills two archangels, and deceives Fisher.
Because Hela is a character who appears very special from Fisher’s perspective.
For Fisher, she has near-infinite affection and patience, absolutely no ill will towards him, and is even willing to help him and protect him. To Hela, Fisher’s importance surpasses the entire existing world.
However, for other beings, she displays a ruthless and terrifying side. It is believed that hints can be picked up from previous fragments, especially regarding the story of Elizabeth.
In short, the next two volumes are closely related to her. Fisher and the other ladies will have stories intertwined with her, so please look forward to it.
Then there is the lovely little character Tang Zeming Asuka.
You should have noticed that a significant portion of this volume discusses the relationship between “mother and child.”
Whether it is “Margaret and Matilda,” “Gabriel and Emhart,” or “Tang Zeming Asuka’s mother and her,” all explore this issue, which is also the theme of this volume.
For a Trans like Tang Zeming Asuka, who has a tragic past, although she is overlooked by fate, she still retains the softest side of herself, yearning for a touch of warmth previously missed, no matter who it is.
Indeed, both Gabriel, Margaret, and Tang Zeming Asuka have at a certain level “missed” some part of familial affection, which is why they feel a sense of “unwillingness” and want to reclaim what has been lost and overlooked in the past.
However, missed things are like a broken mirror; even if pieced back together, they can never be as beautiful as before. Only by realizing this can one make progress.
Tang Zeming Asuka and Gabriel have recognized this, but Margaret has not, leading to her tragic ending.
But we cannot solely blame Margaret for this.
As everyone says, she is a “madwoman,” but she wasn’t crazy from the beginning. Even years after losing her child and when she first crossed over into this world, she was not insane.
It was the chaotic knowledge that led her, which is the fate of every Trans.
Before the end of this volume, Tang Zeming Asuka appears to be completely unaffected by chaotic knowledge; whenever Fisher inquires, she shakes her head, saying she has heard nothing.
Did she really hear nothing?
You must have an answer for that in your hearts already.
She has indeed heard that knowledge; she merely possesses a unique ability that others lack, which is her cultivated habit of “deceiving herself” since childhood.
That is why she hears those “wooden fish sounds” and sees herself in that few piles of rooms “doing homework” and “watching anime”—symbols of “obfuscation.”
But when this deception is uncovered by Margaret’s betrayal and she chooses not to deceive herself any longer and looks forward, the obscured chaotic knowledge inevitably arises.
This is the reason she sees and hears “Fisher” appearing in a robe at the end of this volume.
She is still far from free from the bindings and torment of chaos; her fate has not concluded as this volume does; she must face a trial that lasts for ten thousand years.
Many characters that Margaret and others know have already failed and faced consequences.
And Tang Zeming Asuka…
Well, in this volume, you can see a “fool,” a “clown,” a “pitiful child,” and a “cowardly girl” slowly transforming into the “Magic Lord” previously seen in earlier volumes. Seeing her growth, I am already quite satisfied.
However, this is a thing of the past; our focus ultimately must return with Fisher to the present, facing the reality of the scythe (not).
The next part is some previews about the next volume.
It is predictable that the notion that Fisher’s so-called “Apocalypse Prophecy” has been resolved is ultimately only a delusion. As long as Hela is present, the story of destruction will not cease.
All along, the main line of this book has been to resolve the Apocalypse Prophecy that lingers in the world.
Thus, the main line of the next volume will naturally be searching for and reading all the Supplement Handbooks.
At the same time, with the progression of this main line, various large and small terrifying battlefields will appear, waiting for Fisher to resolve.
The next volume will not be purely battlefields; I will attempt to arrange the pacing properly and avoid excessive suffocation.
Now, I should give everyone a preliminary warning.
In my view, what is termed as a battlefield is essentially a special “contradiction,” and contradictions inevitably accompany “conflicts.” While not every battlefield’s contradiction is as your jokes suggest, “blood flows like rivers,” the contradictions are undoubtedly sharp.
Especially since every lady Fisher encounters is not to be taken lightly; their strengths only add points from Fisher’s perspective.
What I want to say is that they may hurt each other and may also harm Fisher. The previous conflict between Renee and Captain Alagina already showed tendencies in this direction, and remember that Renee is the gentlest and kindest among them.
This process is inevitable and cannot be simply described as “jealousy.”
It is particularly important to emphasize Hela; in this volume, her purpose has been uncovered, and thus she possesses absolute exclusivity.
Fisher’s meeting with the other ladies is not an accident, but for Hela, it is an unexpected event. This surprise will ultimately demand its due price once Fisher returns to the future.
Therefore, in the next volume, she will transform into a nightmare that all ladies struggle to conquer and, naturally, will become Fisher’s nightmare.
And the process of navigating the battlefield, in my opinion, is Fisher weaving silk threads, step by step resolving these exceedingly sharp contradictions. Failure results in death by the scythe.
Additionally, characters who have not appeared for a long time will return to this extended stage in the next volume, and of course, there will be new characters and stories.
As I mentioned before, in the coming three days, there will be an additional chapter every day, featuring content about Tang Zeming Asuka, Hela, and the contributors to the Supplement Handbook for Sub-Humans.
After that, everyone will return to the modern era with Fisher, entering the fifth volume of this story,
“Fisher’s Apocalypse Prophecy.”
I recommend a novel written by a friend called “The Princess of the Demon Clan, I Chant Poetry into a Sword Saint.”
It’s very interesting; those interested can go support it.
Also, I kindly request votes, tips, and support; it is extremely important to me!
Thank you very much for your support!
