Chapter 73: Thoughts on the Book Release
Hello everyone, I am Yi Weixie.
Now it’s time for the release of each book, and as per tradition, I want to share some thoughts.
First of all, I would like to sincerely thank all the readers and my editor, Orange, for your support of this book.
The remaining thoughts will be divided into two parts: one is to discuss the plot of this book, and the other is the updates after the release.
As for the plot, when I was initially writing this book, I actually anticipated that this niche genre wouldn’t attract many readers. I wrote this work mostly for my own enjoyment, and it differs significantly from my previous works. Fisher was originally designed as a female professor, and I wanted to write a yuri story, but after some thought, it felt too strange, so I abandoned that idea.
In terms of the plot, the pace has slowed down a bit in this volume, but every scene carries meaning; there’s no filler. The little details and setups are interesting for everyone. Next, after Renee leaves, the entire Saint Nali will become the stage for the Child of the Sea. She is the female lead, and I will dedicate ample prose to depict her character, including the many interesting Ocean Subhuman settings I have designed behind her.
Then, there’s the issue of the female supporting characters. The “toxic points” gifted to them will certainly not be written, and the real question lies in their roles and conclusions, which depend on popularity. There’s just too much content to explore. However, the appearance of these characters in the character list indicates that there will be much plot related to them, and their characterizations will gradually become richer, including Elizabeth, Isabel, and Captain Alagina.
Lastly, the underlying theme of this book is “a paper indictment,” and those world destroyers are bound to resurface. The only difference is that Fisher intervenes in what kind of individuals they ultimately become. When Raphael reappears later, this question will be answered. Moreover, the worldview of this world is vast, and many hidden elements remain to be revealed; I will slowly elaborate on them in the future.
That’s about it for the plot. The upcoming chapters will largely follow the rhythm set by previous updates. I find this pace very suitable and it doesn’t give me too much of a headache, as it aligns with my outline and worldview. Occasionally, if I get a burst of inspiration, I will add some new plots, so please look forward to it.
If you have any opinions or suggestions, feel free to leave a review or tag me in the reader group. I often lurk in the group to see reader feedback (just kidding), so I can see your thoughts.
Now, regarding updates after the release: tomorrow there will definitely be a big update without any delays, launching at noon and providing five to seven updates throughout the day. If I don’t manage to hit seven updates, I will make up for it the day after.
There will be a guaranteed two updates every day after the release, and sometimes if I have extra time, I will update more, with each chapter being about 3,000 words.
I am also a part-time author and cannot commit to writing full-time, so I hope everyone understands. If you want extra updates, it will mostly depend on financial support, so I apologize.
As you may have noticed, I have released 320,000 words of free chapters, achieving 320,000 words in 40 days. I believe I have done my best to ensure updates, and even if something comes up that delays me, I will still use stored drafts to post at least one update.
Therefore, I also hope everyone can understand. Next Monday, I will start charging, with about thirty chapters involved. Readers who have already read them please take note to avoid unnecessary spending.
Finally, I hope those who are able to do so support the official version more. Writing is not easy, and I wrote this book hoping to achieve a genuinely successful piece. Recommendations in subcategories, website features, and finally reaching Sanjiang are milestones I haven’t reached before. I still want to strive for quality with this book, and I hope everyone can support me more.
I look forward to seeing reader comments in the upcoming chapters. Thank you very much for reading my work.
That’s all!
