第769章 Eil – The Only Drinker
“Ahhahaha, I’m finally out again! Ahhahahaha!”
In the dim castle of the Demon Dynasty, Eil, with her sun-kissed skin and cute little tiger teeth, placed her hands on her hips and threw her head back in laughter. Her arrow-shaped tail swayed in sync with her mood, making her look adorably like a little lion.
However, her unclad appearance was somewhat inappropriate, prompting Fisher, who was holding her clothes nearby, to say,
“Put on your clothes first.”
“Hey, it’s a small matter.”
Filled with energy, Eil tiptoed over to Fisher and took the clothes he was holding, putting them atop her head. However, she got slightly stuck due to the molten lava horns on her head. She tried to use brute force to dislodge herself but couldn’t find an exit for her head.
“Ugh, how do I do this? Ouch, my horn.”
“Don’t move, let me help you. This is Nali’s style, it’s already quite loose.”
Seeing this, Fisher helplessly reached out to find a way for her head to escape without leaving her stuck in her clothes.
Then, as the fitting clothes were put on, Eil spread her limbs wide, looking at Fisher in front of her.
Eil’s eyes always had a complex feel to them, with lazy brows that were beautifully curved yet distinctly lethargic. If forced to pick an image to describe her, Fisher thought an everlasting sunset was the best.
Bright but not glaring, the lingering warmth of that moment was comfortable, and emotions flowed within it, making people reluctant to leave.
“…”
However, this deep gaze did not last long, and a moment later, she let out a huge yawn, releasing a burst of heat from her mouth. She rubbed her eyes and lazily explained,
“I’m sleepy.”
“You just got out a few minutes ago, okay?!”
“That can’t be helped, after all, I have a sleepy constitution.”
Eil, with a “I’m not listening, like a child closing their ears,” retreated while holding her head and promptly lay down on the big bed in the center of the hall. She gently scratched her belly and then completely laid flat.
Fisher, with dead fish eyes, arrived at the bedside, his shadow slowly spreading over Eil on the bed, causing her to squint at him, much like a cat sunbathing on the beach.
Unfortunately, this was not a golden sandy beach; it was her dim castle, with no azure waves, only rolling magma accompanying them.
But this didn’t hinder Eil’s comfort in sleeping at all.
“Grumble~”
Eil snored and then suddenly seemed to remember something. She lowered her head slightly and asked Fisher,
“You must have put in a lot of effort to release me, right? I can feel my seal loosening a lot, just like before I was sealed by that Mother.”
“It did take some work.”
Actually, since everything ended, Fisher had been considering how to deal with the situation surrounding the demon species. Now that the gods were extinguished and mythical beings had almost all perished, demon species still existed like that ever-present death god, Heya, and perhaps would have the potential to awaken in the future.
Fisher had not yet figured out how to handle their matter with the Demon Dynasty, so he thought it best to first release Eil and ask for her opinion.
Of course, there were also other thoughts at play.
After all, the other ladies were happily living their lives, leaving Eil alone to be sealed and asleep within the Demon Dynasty, which Fisher couldn’t bear.
He also didn’t have to bother Renee. The nature of “Void” within him was quite effective against such seals, and after some research, it didn’t take much effort to release Eil.
“Thank you for your hard work. Awoo.”
Seeing Eil thank him with a yawn, Fisher couldn’t help but pinch her face, retorting,
“So, can’t you muster a bit of energy, especially considering how long I’ve worked for this? Who just woke up and is already thinking about sleeping?”
Unexpectedly, Eil blinked upon hearing this and smiled brightly,
“Hey, there’s nothing conflicting between wanting to sleep and seeing you.”
She subtly emphasized the word “sleep.”
“…”
Fisher’s hand, still resting on her cheek, faltered slightly. Her tail, burning with flames, coiled up like a snake, enticing Fisher’s gaze.
However, after a moment of silence, Fisher suddenly grabbed her tail, making her scream,
“Hey, wait, don’t pinch my tail!”
Seeing her panicking, Fisher wisely released her tail and urged,
“Get up already. You plan to lie here comfortably after you finish, don’t you?”
“No,” Eil said with another yawn, her eyes filled with sadness, “I really can’t muster up the energy. I’m already a several-thousand-year-old elder. Besides that, I don’t have much interest left. This isn’t a time for war, and there’s nothing good outside, so it’s better for me to lie here.”
“…”
Eil closed her eyes, appearing like a lazy fish, but she seemed to feel Fisher’s piercing gaze as he stood by the bed.
Feeling a bit guilty, she opened one eye and said softly,
“Well, if you really don’t want me to sleep, then let me find something interesting to do.”
“Something interesting?”
Fisher rubbed his chin, looking at Eil on the bed, who looked like a puddle of mud, and couldn’t help but wonder if there was anything besides sleeping, doing that thing, and fighting that she liked to do.
“Hehe.”
Upon mentioning this, Eil’s eyes brightened as if she had thought of something.
She propped herself up on her hands, suddenly clapping them together and exclaiming,
“Yes, I can do that thing!”
“So, what exactly is it?”
Eil chuckled and jumped up from the bed, revealing a mysterious expression to Fisher,
“Hey, you’ve definitely never experienced it properly, but don’t worry. I’m an expert in that, and I’ll take you to experience it!”
Fisher blinked, momentarily unsure how to respond.
But in any case, it was a good thing she could muster some spirit.
“Clang!”
“Ha!”
“Another drink!”
“Ahhahaha! He’s going to fall, he’s going to fall!”
Bright white snow blanketed the winter streets of the Sardinia Kingdom, and in a corner of a street covered with thick snow in the royal capital, the clinking sounds of glasses mingled with cheers, adding warmth to the cold winter day.
Only the most devoted drunkards would dare to leave their homes in this damn weather to drink at a tavern.
Inside the tavern, as a wooden cup rang out, some wine splashed onto the table, filling the air with the sweet aroma of alcohol.
Fisher sat on a high stool, supporting himself on the badly damaged wooden table, helplessly glancing at Eil beside him, who was waving her cup and loudly calling for “Another drink.”
Meanwhile, inside the table, Old Jack crossed his arms, expressionless, watching the demon in front of him. After a moment of silence, he glanced at Fisher sitting next to her, and after seeing Fisher nod, he sighed and went back to get more drinks.
Eil wasn’t very tall, or more specifically, she currently wasn’t tall, as her actual form was quite large with four additional arms that Fisher had only seen once.
But right now, the body formed by her soul sat on the high stool, her feet barely touching the ground, swaying slightly in rhythm with her mood amidst her tail.
“This is already the twentieth cup.”
“This kind of wine is just an appetizer; we haven’t even gotten to the main course.”
Eil chuckled and said to Fisher.
“The drinks are here!”
Old Jack, with a poker face, brought over two full cups and placed them in front of Fisher and Eil. When he set the drinks down, he gave Fisher a side-eye, which made Fisher helplessly smile.
“Cheers. Uh, why does the owner always look so sour? Is it because I’m drinking too much?”
Fisher rubbed his cup, smiling as he replied,
“We’re guests, not non-payers. Why would he resent you drinking too much?”
“Oh~ so it’s because of you? What, do you have a grudge against him?”
Fisher took a sip of his drink and said with a laugh,
“Don’t you remember the time you lost all your coin pouches while drinking on Snakehead Street in Saint Nali? Old Jack called me to come pick you up; he’s my old friend.”
“I get it, he must know your other little girlfriends and threw a fit to see you bringing me along.”
Eil downed another cup, but her thoughts were particularly clear, immediately catching onto the crux of the matter, causing Fisher, who wanted to explain, to choke on his words. He sighed and had to clarify,
“His remarried wife is a relative of Captain Alagina. Since Alagina left the Parasol Tree, they’ve been restless. One was for their three precious granddaughters, and the other for finding something to do, so they came to the Sardinia Kingdom and opened a tavern.”
“Is that so? Glugglug.”
Eil blinked but didn’t care much, continuing to pour more wine into herself. She drank with such ease it seemed more effortless than pouring water down her throat, and soon the cup was empty.
Among the few ladies Fisher knew who were completely unaffected by the others, Eil was the most so.
Despite being a large demon living in the Competitive Gate, she had no competitive spirit in this regard, seeming entirely unconcerned. Clearly, it was not as enticing as the drink in her cup.
Fisher shot her a glance with dead fish eyes and asked,
“I thought you might remember, otherwise why would you specifically come to the Northern Region for drinks?”
“You think I came to settle scores with those little girlfriends of yours I’ve never met?”
“Not exactly. I’m just a bit curious about the reason.”
Eil chuckled but did not answer, loudly calling out to Old Jack,
“Alright, it’s time to get serious. Come on, boss, bring us two fine cups of Snake Flag Wine!”
At this, the entire bustling tavern instantly fell silent. Fisher thought that Eil, the ancient demon who had lived for a thousand years, might have mentioned a long-lost type of wine, and just as he was about to explain, a woman with a flushed face burst out laughing from behind,
“Hey! Everything has to come in order. We’re all waiting!”
“Yeah, this beer is almost gone. Hey, boss, didn’t you say it would come quickly? Where’s the wine?”
“Don’t cut in line!”
Fisher raised an eyebrow, glancing with suspicion at the lazy demon beside him while Old Jack, now carrying two cups of beer, was explaining to Eil and the excited patrons inside the tavern,
“Don’t worry, my wife and granddaughters have gone to fetch it. In this heavy snow, the roads outside are all buried, so she’s probably still clearing the way; it’ll be here soon. For now, enjoy the beer; the Snake Flag Wine will be served immediately when it arrives.”
Old Jack placed the beer in front of Fisher and Eil. Fisher glanced at Eil, who was already “glugging” another drink, and couldn’t help but ask,
“Is the Snake Flag Wine really that popular?”
“Ah, Captain Alagina doesn’t drink much, so she probably didn’t tell you that it’s a strong liquor. In the Northern Region, due to the cold, people love to drink it for warmth. Paz says every Northern person’s first drink of winter must be Snake Flag Wine, which is considered the unique ‘national wine’ of the North.”
“I can’t believe I’ve hardly heard of it before.”
“Mm-hmm. This wine is hard to brew. I’ve heard it requires sulfur and such, and the annual production is low; it doesn’t go beyond the Northern Region before locals finish it. Paz has connections and can get some supplies each year, or else there wouldn’t be so many customers gathering here in the middle of winter. But at this point, she should have returned. This year’s snow isn’t as heavy as last year’s, so I wonder what went wrong.”
Fisher nodded upon hearing this and glanced at Eil with some surprise. It seems drinking was indeed one of her few hobbies, as she knew even about this precious drink unique to the Northern Region.
“If she doesn’t hurry, I’ll fall asleep. This level of alcohol can’t even be called wine; it’s practically water.”
“You should just drink pure alcohol. Besides, with our ranks being so high, the metabolic rate of demons is incomparable to humans; it should be something that can get you drunk.”
Upon hearing this, Eil smiled cheerfully and turned to look at Fisher, poking his back with her tail and simply said,
“Drinking isn’t just about getting drunk, and it’s not something you can do with just anyone.”
“I don’t understand, but I respect it.”
“Hehe.”
Eil smiled slightly, just as she lifted her cup to down the beer, suddenly the tavern door burst open, and three young girls, bundled in thick sweaters with faces red from the cold, rushed in.
While they were still of young age, in terms of size, they were much tinier than human children of the same age; these were Old Jack’s three mouse-woman grandchildren.
“Grandpa! No, it’s bad! Grandma was intercepted on the way, and the cart carrying the wine was taken away, boohoo!”
Old Jack’s eyes widened as he hastily put down his cup, asking in shock,
“What? What happened to Paz?”
“Grandma is still in the cart. We fell off the cart, and it seems Dot has a fracture. Kalma said to come back and report. Fe… Fisher! You’re here!”
“Boohoo, Fisher, please help us save Grandma!”
Seeing Fisher at the bar, the three mouse daughters’ eyes lit up, as if they had seen a savior.
Before Fisher could speak, the patrons in the tavern who had not yet had their fill suddenly slammed the table and shouted,
“Dammit, which filthy bunch brought this trouble to us?!”
“Yeah, damn it, we’ve been waiting here so long, turns out it’s those bastards who stole our wine!”
“It must be those shameless smugglers! I heard they’re the ones who sell the Snake Flag Wine abroad. Now they’re directly robbing it, right?!”
“Let’s go, let’s mess them up!”
Women in the Sardinia Kingdom were naturally fierce, and as the alcohol fueled them, plus the long wait without getting their Snake Flag Wine, they became heated. A group of women, reeking of alcohol, donned their deer ear hats, grabbed shovels and rifles from beside their feet, and stood up ready to demand an explanation from Paz,
“Tell us, little sister, where did they intercept your grandma?!”
“On the road outside the wine store in the east of the city; they were taking Grandma out of the city, probably heading into the mountains!”
“Okay! Let’s go, everyone, arm yourselves and let’s take them on!”
“I’ve got a carriage!”
“Beat them up, daring to rob our wine!”
It could be resolved in minutes, and he thought so too, after all, it was just him, Eil, and Old Jack among this room who were not tipsy from the alcohol.
He was just about to ask the Sardinian women to calm down, and he thought calling Eil over to take a look would suffice,
“Eil, we—”
Hmm?
Where did they go?
The seats beside him had inexplicably emptied, and he was slightly taken aback. Turning his head towards the door, he saw Eil at the back of a group of agitated women lined up to march outside, holding a deer ear hat and waving a hoe just like the others, shouting,
“Kill them, kill them!”
“…”
Fisher opened his mouth, then helplessly covered his face, turning back to look at Old Jack and said,
“It’s fine, we’ll handle it. Just take good care of Kalma and the others.”
“Okay.”
With Fisher on the move, dealing with this petty theft was undoubtedly child’s play.
Fisher stood up and walked out the door, where he saw the group of drunks already boarding two carriages, the driver also burping and swaying as he mounted the carriage, taking hold of the reins.
Before setting off, he pulled out a flask from his bosom and took a swig, then raised his hand and shouted loudly,
“Fuck him! Let’s go!”
“To seek rewards in the morning and harmony in the evening, the poor struggle to survive!”
“Kill the cows and sheep, hey! Prepare the wine, hey!”
The booze-filled carriage rolled out of the city gate with a crack of the reins, leaving two tracks in the snow. The women on the carriage were patting their bellies and fighting with tools, singing drunken songs in the Northern Region Language, not knowing when those songs were from.
Fisher quickly jumped onto the back of the carriage like a ghost, and no one except Eil noticed he got on.
He silently looked at the rowdy drunks and then glanced at Eil, who was swaying along.
“After drinking from the Snake Banner cup, lift your head and don’t mind the pain, hey!”
“The snow is pure white, my heart is warm~”
In this cheerful atmosphere filled with songs, the drunken carriage swayed and sped out from the city gate, heading east.
Fisher glanced at the snow outside; they were moving quickly, and the tavern wasn’t far from the city gate; otherwise, the three sisters wouldn’t have run back so fast to report.
Sure enough, not long after they left, Fisher saw the chaotic tracks in the snow that hadn’t been covered, looking like something had just happened there.
Seeing this, Fisher leaped from the back of the carriage to the driver’s position and looked down, only to find that the woman had fallen asleep, hugging the flask.
“…”
It was fortunate that the entire carriage had not met with a mishap.
Drinking and driving, you know?
Fisher helplessly grabbed the reins from her and drove the carriage following the tracks ahead; he gently shook his sleeve, and the Fluid Sword shot out,
“Go, stop their carriage.”
At the same time, he gently twisted one of his fingers, and it morphed into a winged tentacle winding around the Fluid Sword, flying towards the distance.
Although chaos had already subsided, due to his possession of the property of 【Nothing】, he could still easily apply some of the authority he once devoured.
“Whoosh!”
“Hiss!!”
The Fluid Sword shot up into the sky, and before long, he heard the neighing of horses from the distant forest.
Got them.
Fisher cracked the whip and hurried towards that direction. Amid the heavy snow, he soon saw a group of people in heavy sweaters scratching their heads in confusion in the snow.
“What do we do?”
“Why did the horse suddenly die?”
“Didn’t hear any gunshots… Ah, boss! Someone’s coming from behind!”
The man in charge was still wondering how to move the barrel of wine when he saw Fisher driving towards them. Assuming they were passersby, he harbored malicious intentions to steal the horses,
“Hey, hey, hey, stop! Don’t fuckin’ sing anymore! If you don’t stop, I’ll shoot!”
The chief robber stepped into the middle of the snowy path, pointing a gun at Fisher.
At that moment, the drowsy woman beside Fisher woke up, rubbing her eyes and seeing the robber pointing a gun at them. She looked up at the carriage that had stopped in the middle of the road, which had about seven or eight large barrels of wine on it, from which an enticing smell was already wafting.
She wiped the drool from the corner of her mouth, quickly sat up straight and patted the wooden board of the carriage, shouting loudly,
“Sisters! We’ve arrived! Damn it, let’s go get them!”
“What are you doing?”
The robber leader was momentarily taken aback, not yet realizing what was happening, when suddenly, both carriages began to shake.
As she tilted her head, she saw dozens of people jumping down from the back of the carriage.
Hold on, ladies.
What the hell, why are two carriages full of people getting down to mess with us?
“Don’t move, or I’ll shoot!”
“Boom!”
Fisher’s gaze sharpened, and in the next moment, the gun in the robber’s hand exploded. Her face turned pale as she clutched her hand in pain, kneeling down on the ground,
“Oh fuck! Someone come help me! There are too many of them!!”
“Boss!”
Behind her, dozens of women armed with hoes and guns rushed down from the carriage, drinking and charging down.
“Damn it! Let’s go!”
Even the driver holding the flask jumped down, smashing the flask onto the head of the approaching robber who had come to investigate, leaving Fisher speechless.
It was an all-out brawl scene. Fisher looked up and saw Eil, holding a shovel, already climbing onto the wine barrels, waving her shovel like a flag, looking as if she had “claimed the territory”,
“Sisters! Come here, I’ve taken the high ground!”
“Oh!!”
“Oh oh oh!”
“Don’t step on my face!”
“Fuck you!”
“Clang!”
Fisher lightly leaped up and landed on top of Old Jack’s carriage, glancing helplessly at the spirited Eil, then quickly began checking the carriage’s interior.
Not for the sake of that ridiculous Snake Banner wine, but to confirm Paz’s condition.
Fortunately, inside the carriage, Paz was not injured aside from being tightly bound. Earlier, she had thought that they encountered another bunch of robbers and were in the middle of a black-eat-black situation. Seeing Fisher on top of the carriage, she finally breathed a sigh of relief.
“Fisher!”
Fisher summoned the Fluid Sword back, and with a gentle poke, he untied the ropes binding her.
“Are you okay?”
“I’m fine… damn, I was set up by these little bastards. What’s going on outside? How did so many people suddenly show up?”
Paz rubbed her chubby face as she crawled out of the carriage; when she looked out, she was shocked by the chaotic scene of the brawl outside. If someone didn’t know better, they would think a gang had popped up out of nowhere; only to see everyone holding hoes and shovels.
She glanced at Fisher beside her, who shrugged helplessly and explained,
“They’re all your customers from the tavern. They heard you were robbed and came to rescue you.”
“Rescue me?”
Paz opened her mouth and turned to the carriage, only to see several drunks had already reached the side of the carriage, while Eil stood with her hands on her hips, shouting down at them,
“Hold on! I’ll open the wine barrel and pour the wine! Everyone gets a share!”
Hearing this, the women still holding “weapons” below pulled out the unreturned wine cups from their sweaters, waiting for Eil to open the barrels. Some unfortunate drunks who were too tipsy didn’t have cups, opening their mouths wide to use them as drinking vessels instead.
Fisher smiled helplessly, looking at the dumbfounded Paz beside him, and said,
“Just think of them as coming for you.”
“…”
Above the barrel, Eil gently aimed with her shovel at the wood and lightly tapped it, creating a hole just the right size that began to leak a seemingly endless flow of nectar-like liquid.
“Oh, the wine is coming out!”
“Pfft!”
“It’s Snake Banner wine! Come here, come here!”
In an instant, the aroma of wine filled the air as the Sardinian women who had just fought rushed forward to grab it, each taking a cup to drink and then returning to the back of the line. By the time they reached the front again, their cup was empty, and they could drink another cup.
As for the robbers, they had already been knocked unconscious by these women, bound up, and tossed aside in the snow.
“Ahahaha! So refreshing!”
On top of the carriage, Eil, also holding a cup of wine, took a generous gulp of Snake Banner wine, bringing it to her nose and inhaling deeply, revealing a delighted smile on her face.
Only then did she aim her red lips at the cup and drink in the spicy liquid that emitted a peculiar fragrance, letting out an extremely contented sound.
“Is it really this good?”
Fisher had somehow sat down beside her without noticing. Looking at Eil after she drank, some of the wine had lingered on her lips, and he raised his hand to brush it away.
That droplet of wine danced on his fingertip, enabling him to perceive its rich aroma. However, he still felt puzzled and asked,
“It’s stronger than other wines. But even so, this kind of wine shouldn’t really get either of us drunk. Rather, I’d say all wines in the world are just a sweet treat for mythical beings.”
“So, drinking isn’t just about getting drunk, and not everyone can drink with you.”
Eil said with renewed interest. She also lowered her cup, wanting the people below to refill it. When that cup was filled, she looked at the liquid swaying inside and softly said,
“Fisher, do you know where Snake Banner wine comes from?”
“Is there a backstory?”
“Haha, there’s definitely a story.” Eil chuckled, took a sip of her drink, and said, “Thousands of years ago, before the mythological wars, after the phoenix was extinguished and the North was left leaderless, various conflicts erupted. Humans, subhumans, and the followers of those phoenixes fought amongst themselves, taking turns to compete for supremacy and winning and losing for many years. This led to the formation of the many kingdoms in the North we see today.
“You know, I’m a bona fide great demon and once a war enthusiast, so of course, I wouldn’t miss out on experiencing the thrill of battle.”
She raised her cup, gazing at the pure white snow in front of her, in a trance, as if countless flames, raised weapons, and fluttering banners were appearing amidst the wind and snow.
“In the midst of so many conflicts, there was an ambitious man coveting the spoils of victory, thus he prayed to me for power, promising to give up everything for glory and triumph. All that he had was worthless, but at that time, I was indeed interested in stirring the conflict there, so I agreed.
“As a result of receiving my blessings, this ambitious man directed the North’s army towards the six tribes, defeating them one after another. At that time, his army used my manifestation, a black serpent, as their flag to commemorate me, and thus his army was called the 【Snake Banner Army】. The drunken songs these guys were singing earlier were actually the army songs of the Snake Banner Army from that time.
“Because among his blessings was something related to this. The ambitious man stated that his army was struggling to march in the icy wilderness and requested me to grant them the power to march fearlessly through the snow. So I shared with him the brewing method of a strong liquor, and granted him a continuous supply of materials, allowing his army to cross the harsh winter with the aid of strong alcohol.
“In the end, he succeeded. He truly unified this land and became the supreme ruler of it.”
Fisher opened his mouth in shock, “I had no idea there was such a history, but why have I never heard of his name?”
“Hey, the power I bestowed upon him was no blessing. The power to triumph in conflict would only vanish amidst conflict. Just a year after he unified the territory, he was poisoned to death by his own son. From then on, his children fought among themselves, and once again divided and opposed each other, all turned to dust within a century. In such a short time, such a chaotic North left no trace behind, it’s not surprising.”
Eil chuckled, looking at the vast white snowy scenery, softly saying,
“Do you know? One hundred and fifty miles north from here is the palace of that ambitious man, but now, aside from the white snow and vegetation, nothing remains, not even a single brick or tile. His name, his ambition, and his accomplishments were all buried in the earth with his death.
“Just like the power I granted him to thrive in conflicts.”
As she spoke these words, Eil’s voice was particularly clear, as if it did not fit the drunken atmosphere at that moment, dispersing quite a bit of the surrounding alcohol scent.
Fisher searched for her meaning with his gaze, only to find her smiling, looking at the drunk women below, red-faced and daring the cold, still clutching their cups.
“But, the method I taught him to brew liquor has endured. All achievements, all conflicts, and all victories have turned to dust at this moment, only this group of folks, drinking to their heart’s content, still exists.”
Eil paused for a moment, her expression turning unusually serious.
She slowly raised her cup, and all the drunken women below seemed to have been inspired to raise their cups in response.
She smiled down at them, but her words were directed at Fisher,
“I mean, Fisher, in this world, especially for those of us who have lived long, many things are actually meaningless. The only truly meaningful and valuable thing is to do what you want to do right now.”
Eil turned to face Fisher, extending her cup towards him, seemingly inviting him to drink together.
She laughed with a sunny yet lazy demeanor, saying to the seriously contemplative Fisher,
“Don’t be so serious. Throughout history, sages have all been lonely; only drinkers leave their names. Drink this cup, and perhaps you will know what you want to do now, and maybe, throughout the long future, it will remain significant.”
Fisher looked at the cup Eil handed over, and finally couldn’t help but smile.
“Do you know what I want to do right now?”
“What is it?”
He took the cup, drank the liquid in one go, but did not swallow immediately.
In the next moment, he suddenly hugged her in the widened eyes of Eil and kissed her softly on her warm and inviting lips.
“Splash!”
The snow of the North seemed to never stop, like the pages of history covering all the nobles, generals, and wise talents on this land.
Only at this moment did a group of raucous drunks in the snow appear so fervent.
Oh no, equally fervent was the furious tavern owner, Paz.
“Hey, where are you going?!”
“Don’t puke in my carriage?! Hey, can you hear me?!”
“No, don’t leave yet! Pay up!!”
“Fuck, you have a captain and you’re still kissing another woman, huh? And on my carriage?!”
“Don’t drink more!!”
