“Heh heh, um, Miss, did you mistake me for someone else?” The girl forced a very awkward smile. She had been confronted before, but she had never seen anyone so terrifying as this.
“Do you think that if I’m already standing here with my hand on your shoulder, I could possibly mistake you?” Leticia patted the girl’s shoulder gently. “Don’t be scared, I’m not a good person.”
Oh my god, wouldn’t that make me even more scared? The girl immediately started trembling more violently.
The fact that this girl could find her in such a short amount of time was telling. In any case, she, a young girl with combat power inferior to a goose, was definitely no match for this terrifying individual.
She just wanted to steal something to sell for money, who knew she would run into such a formidable character.
“Your speed isn’t slow; you shouldn’t be an ordinary person.” Leticia didn’t pursue the matter of the girl stealing her skewers anymore. “With such ability, you resort to petty theft. You’ve run into trouble today.”
This girl was clearly a superpowered individual, and judging by the speed at which she stole things, her level was likely not low.

With such an ability, yet still engaging in illegal activities like theft, Leticia thought the girl might be a bit crazy.
“Tsk, are you some sheltered rich girl who knows nothing about the world? The Hero Association in our area is just a decoration. It’s quicker for me to steal things myself than to rely on them.” The girl knew that pretending any longer was pointless, so she started agreeing with everything.
At worst, she’d get beaten up and sent to the police station. Not to brag, but she was practically a regular at the police stations in this area.
If Leticia were a burly man, the girl might have panicked a little, but Leticia’s appearance was too deceptive. The girl didn’t believe Leticia would do anything out of the ordinary.
“How about this, Miss? Let’s strike a deal. I’ll pay you for the skewers, and you let me go?” the girl said with a sly grin.
Leticia applied a little more pressure, causing the girl to let out a small cry. “No need. I’ve already eaten my fill today.”
“Then what do you want? I don’t have anything worth your attention.” The girl couldn’t understand Leticia’s intentions. If not for money, then what?
She couldn’t possibly be interested in her body, could she?
Not to be self-deprecating, but the girl’s white-haired companion was infinitely more beautiful than her. Her own looks were likely no different from a roadside pebble in this girl’s eyes.
“You stole my things, and I can’t come after you to teach you a lesson?” Leticia flicked her finger, and a small fireball shot out from her fingertip, creating a small crater in a nearby wall.
The girl shivered again, her expression becoming even more strained. She realized that this girl didn’t seem to be that keen on following the rules.
Today, she was probably going to suffer some physical pain.
“Miss, you are magnanimous. Considering I have an eighty-year-old mother and a ten-year-old sister…” the girl immediately began to beg loudly.
Leticia rolled her eyes. This girl really liked to speak carelessly. She looked no more than sixteen or seventeen, yet she claimed to have an eighty-year-old mother. Who would believe that?
However, the part about having a ten-year-old sister was probably true. Leticia had overheard the girl muttering to herself earlier, saying she needed to steal things to treat her sister’s illness.
So, the sister was still sick and needed this girl to steal to save her?
“I didn’t say I was going to kill you. How about I beat you up a few times and then let you go?”
“Really?” The girl was overjoyed. Taking a few hits was perfectly fine; her skin was thick and could handle it.
“Then, if you want to take more hits, that’s not impossible either,” Leticia glanced at the girl.
The girl quickly shook her head. “Less is better, less is better.”
Just as the two reached an agreement, another figure appeared at the entrance of the alley.
The white-haired girl, clad in starlight, appeared silently at the alley entrance like a ghost. She looked at the two people in the alley calmly, her expression unreadable.
“My god, a ghost!” The girl glanced up inadvertently and almost had a heart attack from fright at Bailin.
Miss Bai frowned. “Beat me a few times later.”
Being called a ghost didn’t put her in a good mood.
Leticia chuckled. “Alright, little girl, I’ll whip you eight times, and then this white-haired one will whip you twice. Remember to count.”
Seeing the emerging green fire whip in Leticia’s hand and feeling the temperature in the alley slowly rise, the girl swallowed.
Being hit eight times with something like this, she’d probably turn to ash, right?
To think she had just thought this lady was such a kind person. Little did she know, this black-haired girl was truly black through and through, her heart as black as her hair.
“Can I dodge?” the girl asked softly.
The Demon King Miss nodded. “Sure, dodge however you want.”
However, with the girl’s dodging abilities, Leticia didn’t think she could evade her whip.
Thinking this, she swung the whip, launching her first attack at the girl.
The girl’s pupils contracted as she instantly calculated the trajectory of the flying whip. Then, she dodged to the side. Normally, she would have been able to dodge it.
But Leticia’s attacks couldn’t be dodged by normal means. The air distorted, and the flaming whip appeared right beside the girl out of nowhere.
When the flaming whip touched her clothes, the girl’s first thought was, this thing isn’t that hot.
Then, she was violently whipped against the wall.
“Your reaction speed is quite fast, but unfortunately, it’s of no use.”
Leticia hadn’t held back much. With this whip, the girl felt like her bones were about to fall apart.
Thinking that she still had seven more whips to endure, she felt that perhaps she could go to the underworld and wait for her sister.
While she was lost in thought, Leticia had already swung the second whip.
By the time the girl realized something was wrong, it was already too late to react. The whip struck her side, sending her flying into the air.
Leticia clearly didn’t intend to give the girl time to react. The remaining six whips were faster than the previous one, and the girl was whipped around like a top by Leticia.
By the time Leticia finished all eight whips, the girl was lying on the ground, too exhausted to even stand.
Looking at the girl drooling and with vacant eyes, Bailin considered that it might be better to let this girl off the hook.
If she continued whipping her, this girl might die on the spot.
“What do you plan to do now? Just leave her here?” Bailin walked up to the girl and crouched down to check her condition.
Leticia had been somewhat measured in her actions. Although the girl looked quite bad, as if on her last breath, she hadn’t actually sustained any serious injuries.
Neither externally nor internally was she injured. Her current dazed state was entirely due to her fragile mind being unable to withstand the pain from Leticia’s whips, triggering a self-preservation mode.
As long as she waited a moment, this girl would recover on her own, just like Mo Zili before.
Though, Mo Zili took a whole night to recover.
“If we leave her here, she’ll likely get taken advantage of,” Leticia knew very well that they were in a place the tour guide had explicitly warned them not to enter.
This meant that this place was full of the “unruly” people the tour guide had mentioned.
Leaving a girl who had lost consciousness here carelessly would undoubtedly lead to a development that was not all-ages appropriate.
Leticia wasn’t a compassionate saint, but she wasn’t entirely heartless either. At least, within her capabilities, she wouldn’t refuse to lend a hand.
Although this girl had stolen her skewers earlier, she had already whipped her a few times as punishment. Past matters were now settled.
“I’ll wake her up, and then we’ll leave,” Leticia’s fingertip shimmered with a faint light. Waking this girl up was not troublesome; a simple awakening spell would suffice.
Placing her fingertip on the crown of the girl’s head, Leticia chanted.
The girl’s unfocused pupils gradually regained their light, and then she arched her body and gasped in pain.
Pain, so much pain. She even suspected every bone in her body had been shattered by this terrifying woman.
Intense pain coursed through her body from all directions, making it impossible for her to control her movements.
“Whoa, such a strong reaction.” Seeing the girl’s exaggerated reaction, even Leticia was a bit bewildered. She hadn’t hit that hard.
Reaching out to hold down the girl who was rolling on the ground, Leticia checked her physical condition. As she had expected, there were no internal or external injuries.
Since that was the case, there was nothing to worry about. Leticia stood up and clapped her hands. “You’re not seriously injured. Once the pain subsides a bit, you’ll be able to move on your own. In the future, be more careful when choosing your targets, and don’t provoke people like me again, understand?”
Other powerful individuals wouldn’t be as easygoing as Leticia.
Not injured? Who are you kidding! The girl inwardly complained. Did she look like she had no injuries in her current state?

Then, her consciousness went blank. When she woke up, she immediately realized she was still alive, as dead people wouldn’t feel such agonizing pain.
Seeing the resentment in the girl’s eyes, Leticia nodded with satisfaction. “It seems you’ve recovered well. I won’t stay here much longer.”
Saying this, she gestured to Bailin and headed towards the alley exit.
Leticia wasn’t afraid of the so-called unruly people here; she just disliked trouble. Leaving early would avoid many inconveniences. Wasn’t it a good idea?
However, tonight, Leticia and Bailin’s luck seemed to be not so good. As they walked out of the alley, five burly men with fierce faces were approaching from one side of the road.
If they were ordinary burly men, it would be fine, but one of the burly men was carrying a dark bag, and that bag was even struggling.
“Whoa, they ran into a kidnapping in progress!” Leticia immediately understood the situation.
The burly men were also stunned for a moment when they saw the two girls suddenly emerge from the alley. Then, they burst into laughter.

The burly men spoke one after another, spreading out their formation as they spoke, surrounding Leticia and Bailin, as if afraid they would escape.
“You mean, even if someone dies here, it won’t be a problem.” Leticia looked at the surveillance camera at the nearby intersection. “Is that surveillance camera broken?”
