“Sister, I’m back!” Bai Ya excitedly opened her room door and shouted into the empty room.
“Huh?” Where was her sister?
Puzzled, Bai Ya put on her slippers and placed her backpack on a chair. She had thought her sister would be watching TV in the living room, but it seemed she was mistaken.
Her sister’s shoes were neatly arranged at the entrance, so she hadn’t gone out. Was she still resting in her room?
Walking slowly to her sister’s door, Bai Ya heard Bai Ling’s voice along with another girl’s.
That girl wasn’t Qianqian, but… well, Qianqian’s guild leader in the game?
“Is Qianqian also in there?” Bai Ya couldn’t think of any other possibility.
The only connection between her sister and that older girl was Qianqian. It was only through Qianqian that her sister and the guild leader first met.
Carefully opening the room door, Bai Ya saw her sister sitting at the computer desk, operating the computer. And on the screen was a game!

Her sister actually played computer games!
Was this really her sister?
“Xiao Ya?” Bai Ling heard Bai Ya open the door and turned to look at her. “Aren’t you coming in?”
Caught red-handed, Bai Ya walked into her sister’s room with a blush. In the days Bai Ling was away, she had spent quite a bit of time in this room.

Bai Ya had spoken to the guild leader a few times when she was playing with Leticia, so the guild leader recognized the little girl’s voice.
“It’s me, Sister Xia,” Bai Ya replied.
The guild leader’s surname was Xia, and she was certainly a fair bit older than Bai Ya, so addressing her as “Sister” was fitting.
“So Xiao Ya and Xiao Bai are sisters, no wonder your voices sound so similar,” the guild leader chuckled.
“My voice isn’t as nice as Sister’s,” Bai Ya scratched her head. Her voice was very ordinary, nothing compared to her sister’s heavenly voice. “Oh right, why are you playing games with Sister Xia?”
In response to Bai Ya’s question, Bai Ling said she was just bored.
“Passing the time,” she said indifferently.
If it was just to pass the time, why play with the guild leader? Weren’t there better options?
Bai Ya’s gaze subtly drifted downwards. Wasn’t there a certain expert living there who had a complicated relationship with her sister?
If her sister could play with the guild leader, it meant her sister must have been with Qianqian before. But why didn’t she play with Qianqian?
The guild leader quickly resolved Bai Ya’s doubt. The girl, who loved to gossip, said in a low voice, “Xiaoqian refused to take Xiao Ya along. I guess she’s too proud, tsk tsk tsk.”
Thinking about it, Qianqian was a tsundere. She always said she didn’t have a good relationship with her sister, so she would definitely refuse her sister’s request to play games together.
“Sister, is that true?”
“Mhm,” Bai Ling nodded. “She said I shouldn’t be friends with her.”
“Qianqian must be putting on a brave face,” Bai Ya asserted.
This opinion was seconded by the guild leader. “That Xiaoqian, she’s just like that. Too proud. Making her admit her true feelings is harder than ascending to heaven.”
That girl was best at expressing her true emotions indirectly, with more twists and turns than a mountain road.
“Then did Sister come back by herself?”
“She told me to get lost, so I came back,” Bai Ling concisely conveyed Leticia’s emotions towards her. “But I remembered Xia Xia’s ID, so I’m playing with her now.”
“Ah, this… Sister, remember one thing.” Bai Ya placed her hands on her sister’s shoulders. Through years of observing tsundere characters in anime, she had figured out the traits of tsundere characters. “Don’t listen to what she says, look at her actions.”
“Xiaoqian is the textbook definition of ‘mouth says no, heart says yes’,” the guild leader added.
“Exactly. She tells you to get lost, but in her heart, she wishes you’d stay,” Bai Ya continued to stir the pot. “Sister, you need to be a bit more assertive. That’s how you’ll get Qianqian to reveal her true feelings.”
“Assertive?” Bai Ling felt that Bai Ya’s words had a slight problem, but she couldn’t pinpoint what it was.
It seemed… Leticia was indeed like that.
She always said they were sworn enemies, but her actions were quite the opposite.
Leticia would help Bai Ling with her small requests with a look of impatience, like with bathing or games.
