Chapter: Chapter 24
“Miss Bai, I’m begging you, can you please not suddenly appear in my room at this time?” Leticia, with dark circles under her eyes, gritted her teeth as she looked at Bai Ling, who had, as usual, suddenly appeared in her room.
She had lost sleep yesterday because of this person. After finally falling asleep, this troublemaker had just teleported over.
Seriously, she had slept for less than three hours. Couldn’t she get some decent rest?
“I need your help with something.” Bai Ling was dressed the same as before, exuding a fresh and refined aura.
“Get lost, will you? I didn’t fall asleep until 4 AM yesterday. Let me sleep for a full eight hours.” Leticia pulled her head back into her blanket, intending to be a turtle hiding in its shell.
Bai Ling said nothing more. She stood still, her crimson eyes calmly observing the lump under the blanket.
If Leticia wanted to sleep, then let her sleep. She would just stand there and watch her.
Could Leticia actually sleep?
No, she couldn’t.
If she were an ordinary person, it would be fine. But the problem was that Leticia’s senses were too acute.
“Can you just go back?” Pulling the blanket down a little, Leticia asked faintly.
With this person standing here, how could she possibly fall asleep?
Bai Ling calmly shook her head. “I won’t disturb you.”
“Your presence here is a disturbance,” Leticia said coldly. “So, what do you need me here for?”
“The game, I can’t beat it.” Bai Ling stated her problem naturally. “There’s a mechanism in one place that I can’t solve.”
“…” Leticia fell silent for a moment.
After the silence, she threw off the blanket and leaped in front of Bai Ling. “Can’t you just check the forum?”
“What’s a forum?”
Looking at Bai Ling’s genuinely confused expression, Leticia had to admit that she had expected a little too much of her.
Bai Ling truly knew absolutely nothing about modern society!
“Can’t you ask the leader? Or, if that’s not possible, there’s Xiao Ya.”
“The leader left after playing with me for a short while. As for Xiao Ya… I don’t want to trouble her.”
“And then you come to trouble me first thing in the morning! We’re enemies, enemies!” Leticia emphasized their relationship again. “Do you understand what enemies are!”
Who would come to an enemy’s house early in the morning to ask for help with a game?
“I don’t consider you an enemy.” Bai Ling reached out and grabbed Leticia’s wrist. “If you help me, I can promise you one thing.”
“Huh? Anything at all?”
“I believe you won’t ask me for something difficult,” Bai Ling said lightly.
“Tch.” Leticia huffed, clearly annoyed. “Forget it, I don’t want any reward from you. Just don’t bother me from now on.”
“That won’t do,” Bai Ling flatly refused.
Leticia was confused. “Why?”
“You’re a threat, and I need to ensure you don’t do anything that harms the world,” Bai Ling explained seriously.
So, in the end, she still didn’t trust her.
The black-haired girl shot Bai Ling an indignant look. She just wanted to live a peaceful life, so why did this person have to interfere?
It was like this before, and it was like this now, as if they were incompatible.
Every time her life started to get on track, this person would always pop up and disrupt it.
It was truly irritating.
“Actually, you don’t mind interacting with me, do you?” Bai Ling took Leticia’s hand and stated it as a fact. “From the moment I appeared, you had countless opportunities to break free, but you didn’t.”
“I didn’t!” Leticia immediately withdrew her hand. Just as Bai Ling had said, Leticia had had numerous chances to pull her hand away.
But, Leticia hadn’t wanted to.
She didn’t know what she was thinking. She just felt that Bai Ling’s hand was soft and warm, and she wanted to hold it.
“I’ll be going back now. If you don’t come later, I’ll tie you up and bring you.” Bai Ling, noticing Leticia blushing, nodded with satisfaction. She had confirmed something.
Leticia truly didn’t reject her.
This black-haired girl was just as the White Ya and the leader had said; she was a tsundere.
Bai Ling’s figure instantly vanished, as suddenly as she had appeared.
Looking at the empty room, Leticia stomped her foot fiercely. “This bastard!”
“Your Majesty?” Xue Er finally opened the door. “Breakfast is ready.”
“Xue Er, you were outside the door just now, weren’t you?” Leticia looked at Xue Er, whose expression was a little off.
“Ahem, Your Majesty’s feelings towards Miss Bai Ling seem… rather complicated.” Xue Er’s expression was complex. She really couldn’t have imagined that her Majesty seemed to have developed some peculiar feelings for the Sword Saint.
“I don’t! We’re mortal enemies!”
“While it might not be appropriate for me to say this, Your Majesty, daring to face your own heart is a necessary condition for becoming a strong person.”
