Chapter: Chapter 271
“How was it, satisfied?” Bai Ling asked, resting her chin on her hand while sitting in a somewhat empty coffee shop.
After finishing the short film and exchanging their UIDs, Latitia decisively chose to change locations for lunch.
Having already received a rare, limited-edition gift, why would she bother with the common, mass-produced merchandise? It was much better to find a less crowded place to properly enjoy their lunch.
And this was her final choice!
A seemingly ordinary coffee shop, but this coffee shop was anything but ordinary!
Because, two words actually needed to be added before its name: Maid!
This was a maid cafe!
Yes, this business, which seemed a bit slow, was a legendary maid cafe.
“What do you mean by that?” Latitia tilted her head, referring to the gift, or the maids?
“Both,” Bai Ling glanced with the corner of her eye at the maids busy working in the shop. These girls, dressed in black and white maid outfits, were without exception all quite young and beautiful. But, for some reason, the business of this shop was a little slow.
The customers in the entire shop could be counted on one hand. Normally, a place like this shouldn’t have so few customers.
Could it be because the prices were too high?
Not necessarily. When ordering earlier, Bai Ling had carefully looked at the menu. While the prices weren’t cheap, they weren’t exorbitant either; they were probably just a little above the market average.
This was quite normal for a unique restaurant. For example, if a plate of fried rice usually sold for ten yuan, then selling it for twelve or thirteen yuan in a specialty shop would be normal, right?
After all, the waitresses here were all very cute maids.
“Of course, I’m very satisfied. I got the gift, and the place to eat is also very nice,” Latitia replied with a smile. “It’s just that your complexion doesn’t seem very good. What’s wrong?”
“Don’t you find it a bit strange here?” Bai Ling raised an eyebrow. She didn’t believe Latitia hadn’t noticed the unusual situation. “There are a bit too few customers, don’t you think?”
“Oh, you tend to overthink things. Even if there’s something strange here, what does it have to do with us? As long as they don’t bother us, it’s fine,” Latitia shook her head indifferently. For the two of them, there were hardly any matters worth overthinking.
They were just here to have a meal. It wasn’t like some supervillain would suddenly appear and ruin their meal, right?
If that happened, Latitia might actually say to that supervillain, “It must have been hard for you to come out and deliver yourself as a target.”
That’s right. Bai Ling thought Latitia had a point. Sitting here, who could even touch a hair on their heads?
With their strength, they were that confident.
Soon, the lunch Bai Ling ordered was delivered by a very beautiful maid. The maid placed plates of exquisite dishes on the table between the two of them. After finishing, she smiled and gave a slight bow, “Please enjoy, ladies.”
After completing her task, the maid left with the food trolley without looking back.
“Her thighs look really good,” Latitia said casually after the maid left.
“Better than mine?” Bai Ling immediately felt a pang of displeasure. Was that maid prettier than her? No!
Latitia snorted. This “Bai” surname was too easy to guess. “I have to admit, her white stockings paired with the maid outfit are simply amazing.”
After saying that, Latitia looked back at Bai Ling, “You won’t wear such clothes to serve me, so how can you compare to them?”
Let it be stated in advance, Latitia wasn’t actually attracted to that maid. The maids beside her were all better than that one, especially Miss Xue’er. She was the model of a maid.
Capable of both literary and martial arts, flawless, she was simply a paragon of maids.
She was only missing the skill of stopping time and throwing knives.
“If you want to see, it’s not impossible for me to show you,” Bai Ling said, looking down and starting to eat.
Latitia blinked her eyes. After imagining Bai Ling in a maid outfit,娇滴滴 (jiāo dī dī – coquettishly) calling her “Master,” she covered her nose. It was too exciting.
“Seriously?” Latitia asked with some anticipation.
“If you want to see, I dare to wear it,” Bai Ling said vaguely, looking up. “But only when it’s just the two of us.”
She still had a little bit of pride. It was better not to wear such clothes in front of other people.
“You said it. I’ll definitely remember it,” Latitia slapped the table, worried Bai Ling might go back on her word, and settled the matter.
Bai Ling swallowed the food in her mouth and indicated that she couldn’t just wear it for Latitia for free. “Accompany me to sleep for one night.”
If Bai Ling had changed gender, what she said now would be pure harassment.
Exchanging wearing a maid outfit for Latitia to sleep with her for a night, Bai Ling felt it wasn’t a losing deal.
Not only was it not a loss, but she’d even gain a little.
It’s not like she’d lose a piece of flesh by wearing a maid outfit once.
“You really never let an opportunity slip by,” Latitia said helplessly, pressing her forehead. How should she choose? She wasn’t really opposed to sleeping with Bai Ling now. Anyway, Miss Bai would never do anything she shouldn’t.
The most extreme act would be to secretly hug her, and she wouldn’t do anything else.
This made Latitia quite happy. Such good self-control made her feel at ease with Bai Ling.
“Deal.” Without much hesitation, Latitia agreed to the transaction. “When does it start?”
She agreed so quickly? Bai Ling looked at Latitia with some surprise. She thought Latitia would haggle a bit.
But this was good. She didn’t have to waste her breath persuading Latitia.
As for the time, the sooner the better.
“How about tonight?” Bai Ling asked.
“Okay, but tomorrow is Saturday. Xiao Ya will be at home, right?” Latitia remembered what Bai Ling had just said about only wearing it when it was just the two of them. “You’re not going to wear such clothes in front of Xiao Ya, are you?”
“Xiao Ya has to go to school for rehearsal tomorrow, and Kira also has to go,” Bai Ling stated that everything was under control. Neither of the sisters would be home tomorrow.
Oh, I see. Then there’s no problem.
Since Bai Ling had no issues, Latitia had even fewer. “Fine, come to my room tonight.”
But Bai Ling shook her head. “You come to my room.”
“Why?”
“You’re sleeping with me. You, accompany, me,” Bai Ling emphasized each word.
Accompanying Latitia to sleep versus Latitia accompanying her to sleep were two different things, and Bai Ling was very clear about that.
Going to Latitia’s room meant she was going to accompany Latitia to sleep, she would be the active party. But this time, she didn’t want to be active; she wanted to be passive and wait for Latitia to come over herself.
“Is there a difference?” Latitia blinked. Isn’t it all about sleeping? Why care about such things?
Whether Bai Ling came to her place or she went to Bai Ling’s place to sleep, there was no difference, right?
Oh, that’s not entirely accurate. There was still a slight difference. Latitia hadn’t slept at Bai Ling’s house yet, while Miss Bai had already slept at Latitia’s place.
“There is a difference. Me accompanying you and you accompanying me are not the same,” Bai Ling said with a serious expression, as if the two things were worlds apart in her opinion. “Since there’s no difference to you, it’s the same if you come to my room. It’s just a few steps away.”
“I don’t understand you,” Latitia shook her head. Bai Ling’s bizarre thoughts were truly incomprehensible. Forget it, if she didn’t understand, she wouldn’t try to. She would just do as she said.
Bai Ling in a maid outfit, just thinking about it made her blood surge.
“Let’s eat quickly. Our movie is about to start. We can’t be leisurely anymore,” Bai Ling glanced at her phone and suddenly realized their remaining free time was quite limited.
“It’s about to start?” Hearing this, Latitia quickly lowered her head and shoveled the almost untouched fried rice into her mouth.
In just five minutes, Latitia successfully stuffed a plate of fried rice into her stomach, the consequence being that she felt a bit thirsty and her stomach was a little full.
Watching Latitia grab a drink and chug it down, Bai Ling was also a bit surprised. She had never seen such a vigorous Latitia before.
Normally, although Latitia didn’t deliberately make herself look high-class when eating, her innate noble aura still made watching her eat a pleasure.
Pleasant and unhurried, yet not slow at all, a clear contrast to Kira’s elegant and slow eating style.
That must be a way of eating that Latitia had figured out herself.
Court etiquette and the like. Bai Ling didn’t believe Latitia hadn’t learned them. In the past, Latitia’s dining habits were probably similar to Kira’s.
However, after coming to the human world, Latitia’s habits must have changed then.
But no matter how much they changed, it was still hard to reconcile with that incredibly unrestrained manner just now.
Especially when the clothes Latitia was wearing were so cute and pink, it created a huge sense of contrast.
Noticing Bai Ling’s slightly odd expression, Latitia put down her glass and said helplessly, “What’s wrong? You look like your worldview is collapsing.”
What just happened? Why didn’t she notice anything unusual?
Bai Ling quickly shook her head. She really wanted to express her thoughts, but her intuition told her that if she really said what she was thinking, Latitia might just start punching her again with her little fists.
Sigh, having a girlfriend who likes to resort to physical action is truly a troublesome thing.
“It’s nothing, I just feel full,” Bai Ling said softly.
Latitia’s eyes widened. She looked at the food in front of Bai Ling, which was only half-eaten, her eyes full of suspicion.
This girl is really bad at lying, isn’t she?
Latitia would believe any other reason, but that particular reason just now, would she believe it?
She could doubt everything about Bai Ling, but there was one thing she wouldn’t doubt: Bai Ling’s appetite.
Miss Bai, known as a “rice bucket” and a “foodie,” had a stomach capacity countless times larger than ordinary people. She was full after eating so little?
Impossible, absolutely impossible.
My Miss Bai’s stomach is invincible in the world!
“Next time you lie, think carefully. At least come up with something that can fool me,” Latitia patted Bai Ling’s shoulder with a serious tone. “Keep eating, don’t starve yourself for the sake of face. I’ll generously overlook what you just said.”
Were her words really that untrustworthy? Bai Ling looked bewildered. Why could Latitia see through her so easily?
“Oh.” But Latitia was right about one thing: Bai Ling was indeed not yet full.
So, Miss Bai put her head down and started eating again.
When it came to the ferocity of eating, even the most ferocious Latitia couldn’t compare to Miss Bai. Bai Ling’s eating could truly be described by the idiom “sweeping away like wind and clouds.”
In about the same amount of time it took Latitia, Bai Ling successfully devoured all the food in front of her, even licking the plate clean.
At one point, Latitia even had the illusion that Bai Ling would casually gnaw on the plate as well.
To be fair, Miss Bai eating like this while wearing such handsome clothes was quite impactful, even more so than Latitia was just earlier.
It was like a beast wearing a tailored suit; the clothes and the person were completely mismatched.
Fortunately, outside of meal times, Bai Ling could still carry off this outfit.
“Finished eating?” Latitia yawned, having adjusted her state. She felt a bit sleepy after eating.
“Yes, let’s go,” Bai Ling stood up and walked over to Latitia. “If you’re too full to walk, I can support you.”
Latitia directly slapped away Bai Ling’s outstretched hand. Too full to walk? How could that be?
She was a very restrained girl, thank you.
“I’m not disabled, I can walk myself,” Latitia jumped up from her chair, indicating that her mobility was still quite sufficient.
With a hint of regret, Bai Ling retracted her hand, and the two walked out of the coffee shop side by side, heading to their main destination for this outing.
After they left, quite a few ‘people’ suddenly popped out from inside the coffee shop. These oddly shaped figures wore looks of great fear. After confirming that the two menacing individuals were just there for lunch, they sat back down in their seats.
“Who exactly are those two people? Why did they find their way here?”
“I don’t know. They said there was going to be a meeting, but it’s already this time, why hasn’t that madam arrived yet?”
“The time hasn’t come yet. Did we arrive too early?”
“What are you talking about? This is that madam’s invitation. Shouldn’t we have arrived early?”
Buzzing sounds echoed in the coffee shop, but from the outside, the coffee shop still appeared empty, with no sign of any service staff.
