Chapter: Chapter 5
“Sister… you’re back?” Xiaoya lowered her head and shuffled closer to Bai Ling.
Speaking of which, Bai Ling and Bai Ya didn’t look like sisters at first glance. Although Bai Ya’s surname was Bai, her hair color was pure black, just like Leticia’s.
This little girl had very ordinary hair and eye color, unlike Bai Ling, who was a freak with white hair and red eyes, looking like a monster.
“Mhm, I’m back.” Bai Ling reached out to touch her sister’s face, but Bai Ya took a step back, leaving Bai Ling’s hand frozen in mid-air.
Leticia’s eyes darted between the two sisters. It seemed Xiaoya didn’t have a good relationship with this cheat?
“Do you know how long it’s been since you’ve come home?” Bai Ya took a deep breath and asked courageously.
Bai Ling put on a thoughtful expression, and after more than ten seconds, she answered, “Four years and five months.”
“Pfft—” Upon hearing the number, Leticia, who had just picked up a cup to drink water, directly spat out the water in her mouth.
The mist coated Bai Ling’s face, making the Sword Saint’s expression gloomy.
Her right hand unconsciously went to her side, and faintly, Leticia saw the shadow of a sword.
“Sorry, sorry, I didn’t mean to.” Her survival instinct kicked in, and Leticia immediately pulled out some tissues from a nearby cardboard box. She tiptoed to Bai Ling and wiped away the water splatter on her face.
What else could she do? She was too shocked. How old was Xiaoya? She had just started high school!
Bai Ling had left four years ago, which meant that Bai Ling, as an older sister, had left her younger sister when Bai Ya was in elementary school. What kind of sister was this?
Even Leticia, who was known as a scumbag sister in the demon realm, cared about her own sister when she was a teenager.
“No wonder I haven’t seen you for the past three years. Don’t you have holidays or anything?” Leticia casually asked, throwing the wet tissue into the trash can.
She had moved here three years ago and became friends with Xiaoya two years ago. During this time, Xiaoya always went to and from school alone, leading Leticia to believe that Xiaoya was an only child with busy parents.
“Holidays?” Bai Ling shook her head. “No.”
Her life was monotonous and tedious. Wherever there were troublemaking aliens, she would go and swing her sword. After finishing one swing, she would immediately go to the next place to swing.
In four years, she had circled the human world nearly ten times.
“You’re really quite the sister,” Leticia commented.
Bai Ling, being mocked by the Demon King, felt a bit embarrassed. “In that case, you have a lot of experience?”
“You’ve asked the right person.” Leticia puffed up her almost non-existent chest. “I really do have experience.”
“Does Sister Qianqian also have a sister?” Bai Ya asked in surprise. She had known Sister Qianqian for two years but had never heard her mention a sister.
Just as she had never mentioned her own sister.
“Yes, Qila is a very cute child, but unfortunately, she’s grown up now and doesn’t listen to me anymore,” Leticia said with a troubled expression. If it weren’t for Qila, she wouldn’t have come here to throw herself into a trap.
Upon hearing the name Qila, Bai Ling’s eyes narrowed slightly. Before her forced retirement, the name Qila Infino was also on her blacklist.
This princess of the demon realm had inherited her sister’s ambitions and had been causing trouble for humans, both openly and covertly. If it weren’t for the fact that she hadn’t caused any major incidents, Bai Ling would have already charged into the demon world to strike at this princess.
“Can I meet Sister Qianqian’s sister?” Bai Ya’s eyes sparkled. In her understanding, Leticia was an older sister who was only a few years older than her, so Leticia’s sister should be her peer.
This question plunged Leticia into silence. It wasn’t impossible for Qila and Xiaoya to meet, but Leticia couldn’t guarantee what would happen afterward.
Unlike herself, Qila was a very pure demon. She harbored no good feelings towards humans.
Moreover, if Qila knew where she was hiding, her peaceful days would be over… well, they seemed to be over now anyway.
Leticia shot Bai Ling a fierce glare, leaving the Sword Saint somewhat bewildered.
*Does the Demon King want to hint something to me?* she thought.
“Leticia… her family is quite special. Xiaoya, don’t make things difficult for Leticia.” Bai Ling thought for a while and believed that the Demon King was subtly asking her to help her out.
Coincidentally, she didn’t want her sister to have more entanglement with demons.
This left Bai Ya somewhat disappointed, but she caught a piece of information worth noting from her sister’s words, “Sister, you know Sister Qianqian?”
She had had this feeling from the very beginning. The animosity between her sister and Sister Qianqian was palpable, as if they could start fighting at any moment.
“I know her, of course, I know her. I’d recognize her even if she turned to ash,” Leticia said with a laugh. “Don’t you think so, Ms. Bai?”
“It’s just a shame that it would be you who turns to ash, not me,” Bai Ling said, looking coldly at Leticia, showing no intention of backing down.
