“Siyu, do you think we really embarrassed ourselves this time?” Xia Xia lay on the hospital bed, staring blankly at the snow-white ceiling.
Beside her, Lu Siyu, wrapped in bandages, gazed at the ceiling with the same vacant expression. After hearing Xia Xia’s question, she opened her mouth and replied in a dry voice, “Definitely, we’re incredibly embarrassed.”
Not only did they fail to retrieve the item, but they were also beaten like children. In the end, it was the other party who spared their lives, allowing them to lie here now.
If those two strange individuals had wanted to take their lives at that time, they would probably be having tea and chatting in heaven by now.
