Chapter 1082: Armor and Weapons
First, I put a chainmail on the witch. The chainmail gleamed silver, each latch made from a soul slice. As I became more skilled, the efficiency of slicing improved, and the failure rate decreased significantly.
Next, I dressed her in gorgeous, feminine armor. The design was taken from the factory: Nordic Valkyrie-style armor blueprints, combining beauty and defense. It featured a shapely breastplate, a short skirt armor carved with mysterious patterns, and a helmet that covered the upper half of her face, with wing-shaped decorations on both sides.
Now, the guardian completely lost its spectral appearance and resembled a majestic Valkyrie. Her beautiful white hair fell to her waist, and the magnificent armor exuded the beauty of the art of war.
But it wasn’t finished. I continued to add more fabric. For instance, inside the leg guards, I crafted two black stockings with golden patterns made from monster souls. In the front of the skirt armor, I added a red ornamental cloth bearing a crest. Two ribbons inscribed with witch script were draped over the shoulder armor, and a cape trailed behind her.
With this complete set, she became even more beautiful. I made a few minor adjustments to the accessories. I doubt many witches have the luxury I do, to consider aesthetics and accessories for their guardians.
In reality, most witches don’t have the mood to care about their guardians’ appearance. If the powerful individuals who signed contracts were already radiant and handsome, it would be fine. But most witches choose to sign contracts with beings from different worlds or overlords among monsters. Their guardians are usually monstrous and unspeakable.
Moreover, magic like mine, which can alter clothing and equipment, is a rare, high-end technology. Most witches, even if they have spells to reinforce their guardians, resort to brute force. Consequently, there are many guardians with monstrous features: beast faces and seven arms, pig-like heads and rat-like eyes, eagle wings and horse bodies, or even a thousand eyes and a thousand mouths.
It’s no wonder witches have such a bad reputation in the human realm. When they fight, they unleash such a group of monsters that even their teammates are intimidated, let alone their opponents or bystanders. They look evil no matter how you see it.
“Next, I need to add some restrictions,” I said. Having read the story of a witch poisoning a powerful individual to death but then being enslaved by her guardian, I learned my lesson. I must impose restrictions on the guardian.
As I decomposed the Iron Winged Beehive and fused the souls of a large number of Iron Winged Bees, they were eventually shaped into countless chain links, which were then assembled into more than a dozen iron chains.
The iron chains then wrapped around the witch in a chaotic manner, binding her. Shackles were placed on her hands and feet, and the chains entangled her body, wrapping around her thighs, constricting her chest, and forming a collar around her neck.
The once majestic Valkyrie instantly changed her style, now resembling a Hime Knight imprisoned and bound by her enemies after a defeat. Many indescribable things were likely to happen next.
Even I felt a bit awkward. I hadn’t expected the final result to turn out this way. I just intended to add some restrictions.
After all, the main soul is my enemy. Although her memory has been erased, who knows if she might be provoked one day and remember? If I hadn’t added restrictions, a backstab from her would be very dangerous.
“So Sister Parul likes this kind of thing?” Via said teasingly, looking at me. Sherris blushed and lowered her head, not daring to look in the guardian’s direction.
“No, it’s not; this is purely for insurance,” I immediately denied.
“It’s okay. As Sister Parul’s maid, if Master likes to bind girls, Little Via can also be a candidate. Just please be gentle, Sister, and don’t be too rough,” Via said, feigning a pitiful look.
“What nonsense are you talking about? When did I say I liked binding girls!?” I shouted in exasperation. This lewd loli was tarnishing my reputation.
“Sister Parul doesn’t like binding girls? Ah! I get it. Does Sister Parul perhaps like to be bound?” Via suddenly said with mock realization.
“Eh?!” Sherris looked up at me in surprise. Although Via’s words had already overloaded her small head with incomprehension, her next statement was even more impactful.
“Perhaps Sister Parul wants to be bound by Big Brother? I know, because I want to too. Maybe Sherris wants to as well? To be bound like this by Big Brother, unable to move, just to be at his mercy,” Via said with a wicked grin.
The image of myself being bound by Older Brother Jayad into a Valkyrie flashed through my mind. Uh oh, I felt a strange thrill. What was going on!
Sherris’s face turned even redder. She lowered her small head, thought about it seriously, and whispered, “I want to…”
“Don’t actually think about such things!” I shouted at Sherris, then regained my composure and turned to Via. “We can’t leave the magic circle right now. But if you keep causing trouble, be careful. After the ritual is over, I’ll spank you until your backside is sore.”
“Yes~” Via stuck out her small tongue and stopped talking. She knew she could tease me, but if she overdid it, she would be the one to suffer.
After Via’s interruption, I could only grudgingly look at this conqueror-inducing Valkyrie and accept her current appearance. There was no other way; life safety came first.
Finally, it was her weapon. This time, I didn’t slice anything. Instead, I used the soul of an entire monster, a Petrified Snake Chicken, and directly shaped it into her weapon.
It was a majestic greatsword, which I made exceptionally long, exceeding two meters in length, even longer than the Valkyrie’s height. The greatsword was entirely black, with mysterious runes inscribed on its blade. These were improvements based on my inspiration.
Unlike typical greatswords which are relatively blunt, this greatsword was incredibly sharp. Even though the blade was black, its edge gleamed with a cold light, and its sharpness made it feel capable of piercing a monster’s hide effortlessly.
As the sword took shape, I could sense that because it used the snake chicken’s soul, the sword possessed certain poison and petrification properties, which might prove effective in critical moments.
The weapon was also complete. It could be said that the guardian was now fully formed. Once the final step was done, she could be deployed in actual combat. However, I still had some monster souls left.
In the spirit of not wasting anything, I swung my knife and sliced all the remaining monster souls. Along with the souls of some unfortunate humans who died at Older Brother Jayad’s hands, I threw them all onto the guardian.
Those souls transformed into crystal-clear, multicolored gemstones, which were embedded in the Valkyrie’s armor, helmet, cape, and weapon.
They varied in shape due to different races, in color due to different attributes, and in size due to different strengths. However, under my control and shaping, they were symmetrically and evenly embedded in every part of the guardian.
Instantly, the guardian was adorned with glittering pearls and jewels all over its body, exuding an aura of immense wealth.
