Three days later.
Everyone’s morale returned to normal, but then dissatisfaction and complaints began to resurface.
“Lizard Meat.”
“Ah, I want to eat that.”
“Why aren’t they coming over drawn by the smell of my meal?”
“I want to eat fish.”
Complaints were voiced during the meal.
“What?! Don’t say things that aren’t there!”
“That’s right!”
Some of the women reacted to this.
Resentment over meals is fearsome. It’s common for the desire to eat something again to explode, especially when one’s stomach is empty or the seasoning was shocking.
“I’ll have to hunt a (large) lizard soon,” I muttered.
After my meal, I entered the forest in search of lizards.
They were palm-sized.
Small ones were rare.
Still, it was better than nothing.
At noon, secretly, I presented them to the women who had erupted with discontent.
“It’s a secret ♪” I said.
“Oh my! Thank you so much! ♪”
They didn’t kiss me though.
I’d expected it, casually offering my cheek, but I only received words of gratitude.
“You’re welcome ♪ But it’s hard to find them. Even if you ask me to look, I can’t do it right away. The ecosystem is damaged, and lizards could even go extinct, you know?”
” “Yum! Munch, lizard meat is super delicious~ ♪” ”
They gnawed on the grilled lizard.
“So wild! ♪”
If only I had bread or rice, I could have eaten a lot with it as a side dish.
What a shame.
After food, dissatisfaction turned to equipment.
To solve this, the men decided to learn blacksmithing skills. They began processing monster materials (small weapons and claws they wore) using stone hammers made with Earth Magic.
Clang, clang.
“This is no good.”
“We really need a proper forge.”
“And iron too…”
“For now, I think the strength has increased.”
“It’s progress that it’s harder to break.”
“Yeah.”
Daily innovation.
However, the equipment and technology were insufficient.
“Yo! It’s lunchtime!”
” ” “You’re late!” ”
They had been working without leaving to improve their blacksmithing skills, and the person bringing their meal was late today.
“Nuts again today.”
“If you have a complaint, I’ll eat it.”
“Both of you, stop it.”
“So? How is it? ♪”
” ” “So-so.” ”
“What, it’s not done yet?”
While exchanging the usual banter of “if you say so, you do it,” they finished their meal and took a break.
They felt that if their Earth Magic improved, they could create forges and materials. But it felt superficial. If they actually used it, they knew the forges would have problems, and the materials wouldn’t be right. They paused their conversation for a moment.
“About girlfriends…”
“Don’t go there.”
“Isn’t it better to talk about the folks from *over there* bringing us materials?”
“It’s the same as usual over there. They discovered the 3rd floor, but they chickened out at a boss called an Ogre and stopped exploring. Their main activities are gathering materials that could become our food and weapons.”
” ” “That’s how it is, isn’t it?” ” ”
The blacksmithing group ran out of things to say, and resumed their work.
Clang, clang.
The shrill sound of the stone hammers echoed through the forest again.
The residence.
“Fuuu~, the weather today makes me sleepy~”
“I’ll give you a lap pillow ♡”
I let my physical body fall into a deep sleep and went to see how far Brain was battling Izul’s army. I planned to commit some opportunistic arson and theft for supplies needed by Izul’s army, flying through the sky.

I worried I might be in the wrong direction since there was no bang-bang, but I discovered Alexy, transformed into a ship, transporting long-range attack Alexy units. Izul’s army was at their destination.

The dockside dome, equipped with docks at the port where the Izul Navy was stationed, had fallen, filled with black smoke. A chance for opportunistic theft, but the supplies to steal were hopeless.
“Next time.”
I searched for the fallen dome, floating west and west.
The sound of bang-bang could be heard; it was a fierce conflict zone between Izul’s army and the Alexy series. I went to see what kind of magic they were using to respond.

Did the Izul army bring a choir? Multiple young people, unseen in dome life, were singing on the battlefield. What language was it? It didn’t seem to boost the Izul army’s morale, but Alexy was out of control and crashed to the ground. Apparently, it was influenced by the song. Judging by the way the commander was leading, singing interfered with the machine’s magic circuits, temporarily disrupting control. The Brain sub-units overwhelmed them with numbers. They searched for the singing choir and, ignoring the fact that they were out of control, descended from directly above to finish them off.
“Get out of the wayyyyy!”
” ” ” “U-Uwaaaaaaa — GYAAAA!” ” ”
A subsequent unit fell and collided directly where the magic barrage had ceased. Scattered dirty flowers bloomed on the ground.
“Well, that’s enough sightseeing for now~”
I didn’t ask for Izul soldiers to be intact, but I possessed a corpse with both hands still attached, and I pilfered as many things as possible from Izul’s supplies that the Others had asked for.
“What are you doing there—Gah?! Wh-Why…”
I killed the witness, and the current screams would likely bring someone.
“Tch, I wanted to pilfer a little more~”
I slipped through the fierce battle zone where magic and Alexy units were flying, using stealth to its full extent, and returned to our island using flight magic in a safe zone.
“Now they’ll be happy, and this time I’ll get a kiss~~, gufu fu ♪”
Thinking of their gratitude, I further accelerated my flight speed ♪ By this rate, I should reach the island past noon?
