Chapter: Chapter 117: Elven Beacon
“You’re Alia, right? Tell me about your background and how you were captured?” Xi Wei asked the elf girl casually.
He sat on the chair with his legs spread wide, while Loli snuggled shyly in his arms, her eyes a little unfocused, her small mouth slightly open, breathing softly, looking somewhat uncomfortable.
This was because Xi Wei was stroking her tail.
Looking at the scene before her, Alia felt even worse. She gritted her teeth and said nothing, her gaze turning numb and hollow again, staring fixedly at the man’s knees.
She seemed determined not to reveal her identity, even if it meant death.
Xi Wei, seeing Alia’s stubbornness, didn’t mind. He focused his attention and checked her status panel.
[Name: Ashilia]
[Identity: Second Princess of the Elven Royal Court, sister of the current Elf Queen]
[Strength: Combat Elf Magus Level 49 (41-50) (Sealed)]
[Skills: Advanced Nature Affinity, Advanced Water Magic Mastery (Sealed), Intermediate Elf Magic Mastery (Sealed), Nightingale Form Transformation (Sealed), Elven Beacon (Activated)]
[Equipment: Loli’s Maid Dress]
[Elven Faction Reputation: 15748 (She is a beloved elf princess, but infiltrated a human fortress to avenge her companions)]
[Kolon Empire Reputation: 1 (Only you know her true identity)]
Good heavens, Xi Wei exclaimed.
No wonder she was unwilling to reveal her identity. If the First Prince found out, he would probably drag her to the Emerald Frontier as a bargaining chip for the human imperial allied forces to threaten the Elven Royal Court.
And her name was fake too. He originally thought she was a brainless fool, especially since her assassination attempt was successful, only to step on a trap while escaping.
He hadn’t expected her to be a troublesome person with a brain.
“System, what is this Elven Beacon?” Xi Wei noticed a system-highlighted red information.
“Ding! Elven Beacon, a magical mark for elves of royal blood to locate each other within a certain range.”
“To avoid detection, the Elven Beacon is usually engraved by elves in front of the tailbone or abdomen. Upon activation, the Elven Beacon will show its color.”
Thinking about it, Xi Wei looked at Ashilia’s status panel again and saw the system-highlighted “Activated” next to the Elven Beacon skill.
His gaze immediately turned dangerous.
This wench didn’t activate it when she was naked in front of the First Prince.
Now that she was in Winter City, Loli kindly gave her clothes, treated her to cake and milk, and took her to bathe, but she activated the Elven Beacon.
It truly was a case of the kind being bullied and the good being taken advantage of.
Xi Wei let out a cold snort. His right hand, which had been stroking her tail, suddenly shot out, gripping Ashilia by the neck and lifting her to his face. He asked in a chilling voice:
“You activated the Elven Beacon?”
Ashilia’s pretty face turned red from suffocation as her neck was choked. She weakly clawed at Xi Wei’s iron-like large hands, stubbornly denying it and arguing:
“I… I don’t know… what… what you’re talking about…”
“You won’t shed tears until you see the coffin.”
Xi Wei snorted coldly. He held Ashilia with his right hand, released Loli with his left, and tore a corner of Ashilia’s maid dress with a loud rip.
“Swoosh!”
On Ashilia’s fair, snow-white body, a crimson magical mark was engraved on her smooth abdomen.
“If this isn’t the Elven Beacon, what is it? Are you trying to fool a ghost?”
“The Elven Beacon should be able to be turned off, right?”
Xi Wei looked coldly at the elf girl before him and threatened:
“If you can’t turn it off, then I’m sorry, but I’ll have to throw you off the balcony.”
Hearing this, Ashilia’s expression turned desolate. She knew she could no longer hide anything and could only beg:
“Yes… yes, I can close it… Please… let me… breathe… no…”
Upon hearing this, Xi Wei released his hand from Ashilia’s neck. The elf girl fell to the ground, greedily breathing in the hard-won air.
She coughed a couple of times in pain, and as she coughed, she started sobbing.
Xi Wei couldn’t be bothered to pay attention to the crying elf girl; this was entirely her own doing.
Her desire for rescue was understandable, but posing a threat to his territory and the people around him was unacceptable.
He glanced at Ashilia’s status panel and found that the activation status of the Elven Beacon had been turned off.
“Loli,” Xi Wei stroked the little maid’s head. Amidst her questioning gaze, he instructed her:
“From now on, she’ll follow you. Ask Mrs. Chris to tailor a set of clothes for her, specially designed to reveal the location of the Elven Beacon. She’s only allowed to be on this floor. When you’re not around, have Nina, that little girl, keep an eye on her.”
Loli leaned obediently against Xi Wei, nodding in understanding. She glanced at the elf girl with a complicated expression and hesitantly said to Xi Wei:
“Master… is she very troublesome? If she causes Master a lot of trouble, we’ll…”
As Loli spoke, a trace of unwillingness flashed in her eyes, but she still said firmly:
“We’ll kill her.”
Xi Wei looked at Loli in surprise. He didn’t think this was something Loli would say, but he quickly realized:
Loli was indeed kind-hearted, but that kindness was contingent on it not hindering Winter Fort’s development or causing him trouble.
If that kindness brought him trouble or a threat to life, then Loli could also firmly choose not to be kind.
This was his little maid, always standing on the same side as him, whether he was an angel or a devil.
