Chapter 2: New Century (Epilogue)
Chapter 133: Escape
Xin Kui spent two days understanding the situation within Pinock’s territory.
She not only learned Pinock’s preferences, his daily routine, all the businesses he managed, and even the exact number and strength of his subordinates.
This was thanks to Pinock’s habit of showing off.
The man would always drag her along on a rope wherever he went.
Although this left a purplish bruise on Xin Kui’s neck, it also gave her the opportunity to learn about the surroundings.
Now, Xin Kui’s goal was to find a way to escape this place.
…
Pinock had been very satisfied with the Half-Elf Girl’s performance lately.
It was because this girl was simply too obedient.
Aside from her inability to speak, there wasn’t a single flaw to be found.
She was excellent at serving tea, massaging feet, and running errands. She always completed any assigned task in an orderly fashion.
During this time, Pinock, who was naturally suspicious, had investigated the half-elf’s identity.
There was no half-elf as delicate-looking as her in the Inner City of Demon City. All Pinock knew was that the Elf Mage’s two daughters seemed to be half-elves.
However, they hadn’t appeared since the Elf Mage died.
He didn’t know where they had died, in some obscure corner.
He didn’t know this half-elf’s name.
Moreover, the half-elf herself was illiterate.
So, Pinock simply gave the half-elf a name, calling her “Heel.”
This name was taken from the cat he had at home before he entered Demon City.
That cat was also named Heel.
He used to like that cat quite a bit, until he transformed into a Templar Knight. For some reason, his cat always avoided him.
This greatly displeased Pinock, so he skinned and tortured the cat, named “Heel,” to death.
Now he quite liked this half-elf.
He had already given her pet status.
He hoped she wouldn’t do anything that would disgust him.
Looking at the half-elf girl diligently wiping the floor with a rag, a hint of cruelty and lust flickered in Pinock’s eyes.
This half-elf was different from human girls.
They inherited the beauty and elegance of elves, and almost every one of them had a perfect figure.
Even though Heel was petite, when she knelt there, her body already had a good curve.
Plus, there were bandages wrapped around Heel’s body.
When she moved, her skin was occasionally visible.
These bandages did not detract from Heel’s beauty; instead, they added a peculiar, sickly charm.
“Heel, help me inside, let’s go into the room to rest!”
Pinock had drunk a lot today. His eyes were hazy, his face flushed, and he stood up unsteadily, walking over to Xin Kui.
“Keke…”
It had been two days.
Heel’s wounds should have scabbed over by now, right?
Even if they hadn’t completely scabbed over, as long as they weren’t festering like they were the day before yesterday, he could still accept it.
Pinock could no longer stand it.
Fueled by alcohol, his thoughts turned frenzied and violent.
He was in a very good mood today because he had escorted a batch of goods, and the reward had come through, amounting to over ten thousand Soul Points.
That was enough for him to have some fun for a while.
He didn’t know what those goods were.
They were said to be from the Kolon Empire.
Those items were sealed in boxes made of magic-inhibiting stones, making them so mysterious that he couldn’t peek inside.
Hearing Pinock’s command, Xin Kui’s small body trembled violently, and a layer of fine sweat seeped from her palms out of nervousness.
But she still obediently supported Pinock.
Looking at the heavily drunk Pinock, her mind also became active.
Because the chance to escape this hellhole seemed to have arrived.
Xin Kui helped Pinock into the room. The man indeed had lustful intentions, his evil desire burning.
He immediately tried to rip off her clothes.
But she had been prepared for this.
“Ah, ah…”
Xin Kui moaned helplessly, raising her sore, weak arms to block Pinock’s rough large hands.
She twisted her petite body with all her might, and the wounds within the bandages immediately split open, spilling a large amount of blood, instantly turning her into a bloody mess.
The medicine the doctor had given her was very effective.
It might also be due to Xin Kui’s own constitution.
In short, she absorbed the medicine exceptionally well.
This resulted in her wounds, large and small, completely scabbing over in just over a day.
Xin Kui had no choice.
At night, when Pinock wasn’t paying attention, she endured the excruciating pain and used small stones she had picked up during the day to reopen the wounds on her body and legs.
Looking at the blood seeping from the half-elf girl’s entire body, Pinock was stunned.
He thought he had accidentally broken the girl’s wounds with his clumsy hands.
But he hadn’t done anything of the sort; he had only tried to pull off her clothes, and hadn’t even managed to do that.
He glanced at the half-elf girl’s thighs and found that those wounds had not only not healed but seemed to be worsening.
“What kind of terrible medicine is this?! These scoundrels should all be chopped into pieces!”
Pinock roared under his breath.
A multitude of flames condensed within him, generating an urge to explode.
Now, the half-elf girl was covered in pus and blood, making her unserviceable!
Looking at the bloody, inflamed wounds made one feel incredibly disgusted.
The more Pinock thought about it, the angrier he became. He slapped Xin Kui, sending her flying to the ground, followed by punches and kicks.
He didn’t care about anything else now.
If he felt unhappy, he would vent.
Just like when he killed his cat.
However, the half-elf girl in front of him was still useful.
Looking at the half-elf girl trembling at his feet, convulsing from pain, Pinock instinctively restrained his strength.
If he continued to hit her like this, this weak half-elf girl would be beaten to death by him.
After this outburst of frustration, Pinock felt much better. He tossed the half-elf girl aside, climbed onto the bed, and started snoring loudly.
Deep in the night, the bloody moonlight quietly crept into the room.
Xin Kui, who had been lying on the ground without moving, as if dead, finally trembled her fingers slightly. She looked up, and in her eyes, hidden beneath her long hair, sparks of hope blazed.
This was the time when everyone was sleeping most deeply.
Xin Kui struggled to crawl out of the room.
The excruciating pain all over her body almost made her faint.
But she couldn’t get up in that room.
Even the slightest movement could alert the man on the bed.
Xin Kui wriggled forward on her knees and elbows. Time ticked by, and she finally crawled out of the door, leaving a faint trail of blood behind her.
She could stand up now.
She leaned against the wall and slowly got up from the ground.
Fortunately, Pinock had only hit her face and upper body. Although it hurt, at least she could still run.
Under the dim blood moon, Xin Kui was like a mouse hiding in the shadows.
Relying on her excellent memory, she found inconspicuous corners that normal people would miss.
She bypassed the guards’ line of sight.
Embarrassed and stumbling, she staggered towards the inn that Jerry had opened.
