Chapter 2: New Century (Epilogue)
Sotan Terek was both devastated and wronged. He was devastated because the enemy was merely a Legendary-grade knight, yet he brought two Demigod-level henchmen. He felt wronged because out of the vast 108 layers of the Abyss Plane, why did they specifically choose his Fifth Layer?
He hadn’t done anything!
Every day, he stayed in his shrine, researching how to completely obliterate and absorb the divine soul of the Lion God, and never responded to any demon summons from the material plane.
He hadn’t even initiated a war against the material plane for over a hundred years.
It was only recently, seeing that his subordinate Beast King was losing, that he lent a hand.
Who had he provoked?
“Why me?”
Sotan Terek’s head was pressed into the dirt, his eyes and mouth invisible, only able to emit muffled, dull sounds.
“There’s no ‘why,’ this is a fated encounter!”
Xi Wei’s lips curved into a sinister smile.
None of these Abyss lords were good people, so naturally, he didn’t need to be polite to them. If he could kill them, he would first drain them dry of their value and then kill them.
Hearing Xi Wei’s words, Sotan Terek felt his soul wailing.
“Destined encounter” my ass.
Was the Goddess of Fate some kind of massive ice cream that she would meddle so much?

“I’m not satisfied with your current efficiency in attacking the material plane. Expand the teleportation gate, or build a few more, and send out all the soldiers from your Demon City!”

So, this knight wasn’t here to eliminate evil, but to encourage it?
Sotan Terek, after living for so many years, had never encountered such an absurd situation.
How absurd was this matter?
It was like a law enforcer seeing a murderer and not only failing to stop him but also encouraging him to continue killing.
And praising him for killing well.
Killing beautifully!
“That… your request certainly has no problem. In fact, I was planning to do just that!”
Sotan Terek chuckled obsequiously, using an extremely flattering tone:
“Your Excellency, do you wish to become the Demon King of the Abyss? Currently, all 108 layers have Abyss lords. If you don’t mind, I can cede the position of lord of this layer to you. From now on, you will be the Lord of the Fifth Layer of the Abyss.”
“Less nonsense, just do as you’re told!”
Xi Wei didn’t comment on Sotan Terek’s words. However, with his current formidable black armor, he would certainly look the part if he were to play a Demon King.
But it was a pity he couldn’t open the Abyss teleportation gate.
This was the exclusive domain of demons.
The activation conditions were extremely complex, and even the Beast King had paid a considerable price to open this teleportation gate before.
“Yes, yes, yes!”
Sotan Terek quickly agreed: “I’ll expand the Abyss teleportation gate for you right now, and I’ll even add two new teleportation gates for you!”

The demons that were still rushing into the teleportation gate looked at this scene with astonishment.
How had they ever seen such a spectacle?
Their superior was being held hostage by two Demigods and one human Legendary Knight!
They were so scared that they didn’t dare to move, nor did they dare to step forward to rescue Sotan Terek.
“What are you looking at? Are you that idle?”
Sotan Terek’s face darkened.
Although his current stature was not large, the aura of an Abyss lord on his person still deterred the surrounding demons.
“Are you not going to continue attacking the material plane? Do you want me to teach you?!”
The demons snapped back to reality.
While warily eyeing Xi Wei and the two goddesses, they desperately ran into the teleportation gate.
They were already eager to enter the material plane, and now they were even more eager. This Abyss Plane was truly unbearable.
Only one of Sotan Terek’s confidantes, a seventh-tier Balrog, still had some conscience. Before entering the teleportation gate, he cautiously asked Sotan Terek:
“Your Majesty, if you have any unspeakable difficulties, you can secretly tell me!”
After speaking, and before Xi Wei and the two goddesses could react, it darted into the teleportation gate without looking back, like a mouse seeing a cat.
Sotan Terek’s mouth twitched, and he chuckled obsequiously at Xi Wei, who had a half-smile on his face:
“Heh heh… you’ve seen a joke. My subordinates are a bit ignorant, and their brains aren’t very good… heh heh…”
After speaking, he didn’t dare to utter any more nonsense and immediately used his divine power to communicate with the Abyss Will, expanding the teleportation gate to its left and right.
This was extremely consuming of divine power and divine soul power.
Most Abyss lords were unwilling to expand the Abyss teleportation gate in this way.
Unless they were already blinded by rage or harbored intense hatred towards a certain existence in the material plane, intending to summon a demon army to drown them.
Consuming too much divine power and divine soul power in the Abyss was undoubtedly a path to death. Abyss lords were constantly coveting each other, and the slightest disturbance could trigger an Abyss War.

Finally, Sotan Terek used his divine power and divine soul power to expand the Abyss teleportation gate to the limit that the Fifth Layer of the Abyss Plane could withstand. Then, he established three slightly lower teleportation gates next to it, increasing the speed at which demons poured out by at least tenfold.
Sotan Terek’s heart ached immensely.
His remaining divine soul power and divine power could only be used to stabilize his current situation.
He could no longer spare any effort to interfere with the divine will of the Lion God.
With this balance shifting, who knew how many years it would take.
But he had already remembered the auras of Xi Wei and the two goddesses.

Xi Wei said sternly, taking out three scrolls sealed by the divinity of Ruo Yi and Loli.
He then displayed them before Sotan Terek: “Here~ You can draw one from them. Whatever you draw, that’s what I’ll reward you with~”
