SECTION 10: It Turns Out To Be Little Tyrant!

Under Little Fly Yan’s anxious urging, the members of the Rouge Women’s squad increased their speed, gradually approaching the battlefield.
Before long, a large mountain range lay across their path, and the tremors of battle already echoed in their ears.
“Sisters, a young man named Chu Yun saved Little Fly Yan. For this life-saving grace, we in the Rouge Women must repay him. Fight! Fight!” Hua Mei cried out, drawing forth a Winter Frost Proud Plum Spear and stepping into her Snow-Treadingless Boots, both of which were Spirit Monster-grade Demon Soldiers. She soared into the air, a picture of heroic spirit.
“Although our opponents are from the Northern Sect, with the main force of the Rouge Women assembled, we may not necessarily be unable to defeat them!” Yi Yan’s eyes were like deep pools, her expression resolute. She took out the River Luo Diagram for protection and held black and white chess pieces, to be used as hidden weapons, poised but unreleased.
“Once the melee begins, I’ll act from the shadows. With my methods, it’s not impossible to take down that kid,” Poison Star plotted sinister schemes in his heart.
“Once we cross this mountain ridge, we’ll be there! Brother Chu Yun, you must hold on!” Fei Yan gritted her teeth, also retrieving her Great Demon Soldier, the Red Cloud Drum. A look of urgency and seriousness graced her small face.
Just as everyone expected a hard battle to begin, a roaring sound tore through the air. Immediately after, a mountain wolf let out a roar and, leaping over the mountain peak before them, charged out.
The wolf’s body was so immense that it cast a vast shadow, engulfing them all. Before they could even exclaim, a thunderous voice reached their ears.
“Bei Guangguang, where do you think you’re running?!”
The voice was filled with chilling killing intent and oppressive battle spirit, causing everyone to tremble uncontrollably.
Another enormous figure leaped out from beyond the mountain.
Everyone unconsciously looked up, countless pupils shrinking as they stared, dumbfounded, at a snow-white, divine, and elegant Spirit Monster Sky Fox soaring into the sky far above them.
Standing atop this Supreme-grade demonic beast’s head was a young man.
He was tall and strong, standing ramrod straight with an imposing aura. In the whistling gale, the hem of his clothes fluttered like war banners.
He held a gleaming battle saber in one hand and a branch covered in strange eyes in the other. His black hair whipped wildly in the air, and his eyes radiated an unparalleled sharpness. Sunlight streamed down from high above, bathing him in a golden radiance, as if a god had descended.
This moment was fleeting, yet it felt infinitely long to them.
Everyone was speechless. Most of the female wanderers of the Rouge Women gaped, their mouths agape, staring upwards.
*Boom!*
The Sky Fox landed, then immediately leaped again, pursuing the fleeing mountain wolf.
Time seemed to resume its normal flow.
“That’s a Supreme-grade demonic beast, Sky Fox…” Hua Mei, the leader of the Rouge Women, lost her composure for a moment, murmuring to herself.
“Who is this young man? He’s actually chasing down Bei Guangguang?” Yi Yan, usually calm and serene, was also flustered. Her beautiful, wide eyes were filled with shock.
Fei Yan, initially shocked, then teared up with joy and cried out towards Chu Yun’s retreating figure, “Brother Chu Yun! I knew you were the strongest!”
This cry was like a thunderclap, startling the stunned crowd back to reality.
*Boom!*
The crowd erupted.
“I’m not mistaken? The renowned Northern Sect is being chased like a rat?!”
“This person is so brave! Incredibly brave! Even Bei Guangguang was defeated by him.”
“We were preparing to come to the rescue, but we never expected this. Who exactly is this young man?”
The women chattered amongst themselves, their discussion growing increasingly fervent.
“How could this be, how could this be…” Poison Star’s eyes were unfocused, lost in confusion. Reality was nothing like he had imagined. How was this possible?! Bei Guangguang had been defeated, instead bolstering Chu Yun’s reputation!
“I already told you all that Big Brother’s surname is Chu, and his name is Chu Yun,” Little Fly Yan proudly announced, her bright eyes shining with excitement.
“Six-tailed Sky Fox, gleaming saber, Chu Yun… I remember now! He’s Little Tyrant from the Talented Person Ranking!” Yi Yan suddenly had an epiphany, exclaiming with a shocked expression.
“Little Tyrant? He’s that hotshot who recently fought against tens of thousands of troops single-handedly?”
“That makes sense. He’s also on the Talented Person Ranking. It’s not impossible for Bei Guangguang to be defeated by him!”
“Little Fly Yan, you’re so lucky. You snuck out and managed to meet such a famous person! Tell us, what happened between you two? Why are you so concerned about him?”
The discussion reached its peak. All eyes turned to Fei Yan, their gossip-loving spirits ablaze.
“So he’s Little Tyrant.” This news struck Poison Star like a heavy hammer, once again.
“Little Tyrant…” You Starlet chuckled bitterly. Chu Yun’s background and connections were no weaker than those of the Valley of Life and Death. Had he known this earlier, he would have tried his best to curry favor with Chu Yun. Now, it was too late for regrets.
“Little Tyrant Chu Yun, it should be him. He ascended the Talented Person Ranking at just 15 years old. Such potential…” Hua Mei’s eyes flickered as she gazed at the Sky Fox’s receding form, letting out a sigh of admiration.
“Indeed, great fame is not without substance! What should we do next?” Yi Yan felt a bit at a loss, their anticipated rescue mission turning into a spectator’s show.
“The opponent has deep potential, exceptional combat power, and a strong backing. Furthermore, he saved Fei Yan, which is a kindness to us. Of course, we should assist him in pursuing Bei Guangguang. However, given his status, he might not think highly of our small, third-rate wanderer sect…” Hua Mei’s words ended with a wry smile.
“Bei Guangguang, you run quite fast. It seems all your skill lies in escaping,” Chu Yun shouted as he pursued, unleashing various Cultivation Methods and forcing Bei Guangguang to flee in utter disarray.
Bei Guangguang was so enraged he felt like spitting blood. Chu Yun’s incessant taunts had completely stripped him of his dignity as a senior figure. Being chased by such a junior was utterly humiliating.
“Lord Chu Yun, the Rouge Women have come to offer our assistance!” As they pursued, Hua Mei and the others arrived.
“Rouge Women! You small, third-rate sect dares to come? You’re quite bold!” Bei Guangguang’s voice trembled with anger. Not only was he being hunted by Chu Yun, but now he was also being pursued by this insignificant sect. Worse yet, this small sect had two formidable experts. With his soul injured, he could only flee and not fight, a feeling of utter frustration.
“Hahaha, thank you, Rouge Women, for your aid. Let us join forces and eliminate this scourge!” Chu Yun laughed heartily, even more formidable with the Rouge Women’s support.
“This is bad! If this continues, I might truly perish here!” Bei Guangguang’s heart sank. The Rouge Women coordinated flawlessly, forming an encirclement and leaving him with less and less space to maneuver.
“If I survive this, you will all pay the heaviest price!” Cornered, Bei Guangguang decisively turned and plunged into the Endless Forest.
The Endless Forest was the largest forest in Xingzhou. It was perpetually shrouded in illusory mist and inhabited by countless ferocious demonic beasts and demonic plants, making it extremely dangerous.
Only at specific times of the year did the mist dissipate slightly, reducing the danger and allowing outsiders a chance to venture inside in search of the legendary Ten Thousand Beasts King’s legacy.
“There are still two days until the mist thins and the Endless Forest officially opens. Entering the Endless Forest at this time is extremely perilous!” Hua Mei feinted an attack and was forced to halt her pursuit.
The milky white mist, thick as if it could be scooped with a hand, covered the sky and obscured vision. Bei Guangguang disappeared into it in an instant.
“This Northern Sect is truly ruthless. However, if it were me, I would make the same choice. After all, choosing a path of one in nine deaths over certain death is a wise decision,” Chu Yun sighed, abandoning the chase.
The Endless Forest was perilous, with endless demonic beasts and creatures. Great Demons were common, and Spirit Monsters were not rare. It was said that some had even sensed the aura of Tribulation Demons, and not just one.
Most critically, this illusory mist could disorient travelers, causing them to lose their way and even fall into waking dreams from which they couldn’t escape. In such fog, let alone chasing an enemy, even preserving one’s own life was a significant challenge.
“Brother Chu Yun!” Rejoining the Rouge Women, Fei Yan happily chirped like a little bird and threw herself into Chu Yun’s arms. Though her time with Chu Yun was brief, the experiences were unforgettable. Fei Yan had come to recognize him as a big brother.
“Hehehe.” Chu Yun smiled and gently patted Fei Yan’s little head. This simple gesture brought a sense of relief to Hua Mei and the others.
Chu Yun’s combat record was formidable, and his title as Monster Tamer carried an imposing, almost oppressive, presence. Yet, at this moment, the women found him approachable.
“Little Tyrant’s reputation is well-deserved. Hua Mei has witnessed it today. These demon soldiers left on the battlefield are undoubtedly your spoils of war. We return them to you.” Hua Mei respectfully bowed to Chu Yun, her voice clear and capable. Before she finished speaking, someone presented the Heart-Winning Whip.
This ancient demon weapon, though damaged, possessed peculiar power. Combined with Chu Yun’s soul will, it would become a new trump card.
Chu Yun rejoiced, “There’s no need for formality, Sect Master Hua. Just call me Chu Yun. Little Fly Yan and I hit it off immediately. Saving her was something I naturally would do.”
“Oh? What do you mean?” Hua Mei blinked, a hint of confusion in her bright eyes.
“Because I am also an Abacus Master, and I wish to cooperate with you all on this expedition into the Endless Forest,” Chu Yun stated, using the same reason he had used to coax Little Fly Yan, while being forthright about his own objectives.
“It’s actually like that!” Hua Mei and Yi Yan exchanged glances, both finding Chu Yun’s actions to be astonishingly unpredictable, as if he were as unrestrained as the heavens.
After a moment’s thought, Hua Mei agreed, “We are honored that Young Master Chu Yun considers collaborating with our humble, third-rate sect. Having such strong support, we are overjoyed.”
“Hehehe, happy cooperation.” Chu Yun smiled. In his memory, it was the Rouge Women who, through sheer luck, reached the Ten Thousand Beasts King’s legacy site during this expedition and obtained his inheritance. By accompanying them, half of the Ten Thousand Beasts King’s legacy was already within his grasp.
