Section 7: 22 Tribulation Demons, Unlocking the Seal

Despite deciding to establish a nation during the banquet, there were still many complex and trivial matters to arrange for its formal founding. The grand ceremony alone would require at least five to six months of meticulous preparation.
Naturally, these arrangements were delegated to others. Chu Yun was not skilled in such matters and had little desire to be involved.
He had a vague premonition that after slaying the Greedy Wolf King and plundering the substantial treasury of Stone Hammer City, his luck had been depleted to a dangerous level.
What he needed most now was not to go out seeking opportunities, but to recuperate and allow the luck of the Destiny Demonic Treasures to accumulate and recover gradually.
This included not only the Destiny Demonic Creatures originating from the Five Virtue King, the Passionate King, and the Sea Dragon King, but also the Greedy Snake, the Destiny Demonic Beast that belonged to the Greedy Wolf King.
Since Chu Yun had killed it, the luck of the Greedy Snake must have been completely depleted.
Any Beast Master with Heavenly Eyes, capable of perceiving the Dao and the Net of Law, possessed the talent of an Abacus Master. Therefore, Chu Yun felt his deductions were absolutely correct.

Over the past two weeks, despite doing nothing, Chu Yun had gained immense benefits.
This minor flaw had vanished.
He had truly stabilized his cultivation, standing at a brand-new starting point full of vigor, completely renewed and ready to move forward.
His first task was not anything else but to organize the demonic creatures he possessed.
He had not yet properly organized the demonic creatures he held.

Now, in the quiet stillness, organizing the demonic creatures in his possession yielded a result that startled Chu Yun.
He possessed twenty-two Tribulation Demons.

But this was the reality.
The Innate Drunken Snow Saber, Sky Fox, Spirit Snake, Moon Rabbit, and Colorless Rainbow Demon were his main Tribulation Demons. All of them currently possessed hundreds of thousands of years of cultivation, with the Spirit Snake being the most powerful at a staggering ninety-eight thousand years.
The Spirit Snake could only be fed Soul Crystals to increase its cultivation. However, later, Chu Yun obtained the Heavenly Crystal Pill, which allowed it to reach its current level of cultivation.
In subsequent battles, the Spirit Snake lived up to Chu Yun’s significant investment, playing an irreplaceable role and achieving remarkable results.
Besides these main demonic creatures, there were auxiliary demonic creatures: Swift Grass Shoes, Little Baozi, and the Marrow Cleansing Cauldron.
The cultivation of the Swift Grass Shoes could be attributed to Dongyin. The cultivation of such footwear was difficult to increase. Chu Yun benefited from this, having gained an advantage from Dongyin.
Little Baozi had hundreds of thousands of years of cultivation, with a master-servant contract signed. The latter, possessing millions of years of cultivation and being an innate Demon Soldier, could only have an ally contract signed.
The Marrow Cleansing Cauldron was not the only one with whom an ally contract was signed.
The Cloudwing Tiger, Rotting Poison Gecko, Sky-Scraping Purple Vulture, Azure Sea Tide Aus, Nine Colored Deer, Dream Illusion Shell, Riot Ape, Wrathful King Ming, Azure Locust King, Azure Gourd, White-Eyed Wolf, Golden Jade Immortal Butterfly, Jianmu, Greedy Snake, and Innate Drunken Snow Saber all had ally contracts signed.
The first eight were used to guard the Archipelago and maintain the safety of the Shu Family’s forces. Chu Yun used them the least.
The White-Eyed Wolf was a Tribulation Demon originating from the Greedy Wolf King, which had voluntarily defected.
The Golden Jade Immortal Butterfly and Jianmu could at best be considered transitional demonic creatures. The former filled the gap in Chu Yun’s lack of psychic abilities, while the latter was a spoil of war obtained by narrowly defeating Erlang Tian Jun.
Chu Yun was not adept at using such Demonic Plants. Jianmu did not play a significant role in several battles. If Chu Yun did not transform or develop new tactics, it would eventually be phased out.
As for the Greedy Snake, this peculiar Destiny Demonic Beast, Chu Yun was determined to sign a master-servant contract and keep it firmly under his control. However, he was currently lacking in spirit, and there was still a significant gap before he could sign a contract with this thirty-thousand-year-old Tribulation Demon.
After Tribulation Demons came Spirit Monsters, and there were even more of them.
First were the five Destiny Demonic Creatures of the ancient Five Virtue King, all of whom were now peak Spirit Monster cultivation. These were the Demon Suppressing Pagoda, Everlasting Wood, Returning Flow Altar, Peach Blossom Spring Tree, and Flying Peak.
Next was the Passionate King’s Destiny Demonic Creature, the Immortal Peach Tree, also at peak Spirit Monster cultivation, planted in the Paradisiacal Immortal Pouch. Chu Yun had acquired the Immortal Pouch, thus incidentally incorporating this Destiny Demonic Creature.
In addition, there were the Lishan Dragon Eye Flower Branch, Life Spring Imperial Seal, Azure Sea Tide Aus, Revolving Dan Yuan Tree, Treasure Seeking Rat, Dark Crossing Shuttle, Sky Crane, and Swift Grass Shoes.
The vast majority of the above were peak Spirit Monsters. The latter few were currently lent to Xiao Xiaoxian.
The most important one to highlight was the Blissful Joy Ship.
This Demon Soldier, involved in the secret of eternal life, was one of the most precious treasures in Chu Yun’s understanding.
The Blissful Immortal Consorts were all as beautiful as celestial beings, each possessing exceptional talents and skills. With them, one never had to worry about logistics; they were the best strategists and advisors.
Each of them possessed peak Spirit Monster cultivation. Only by gathering the remaining Immortal Consorts and completing the Blissful Joy Ship could their cultivation continue to advance.
This was a bottleneck of sorts, but it did not have a significant impact. In Chu Yun’s view, the Immortal Consorts’ original strengths were not in combat. Their greatest value lay in their wisdom, talents, and knowledge.
As for the demonic creature groups obtained in the Dragon Gate World, they were all sealed by Chu Yun and suppressed within the Immortal Pouch, not counted as they had no contracts signed.
Besides the above, there were various miscellaneous items.
The dispensable Golden Sand Strange Book, the useless Night Emperor CityPass Token, the Divine Thief Gate Sect Leader Ring, the marriage contract Jade Slip left by the Sea Dragon King, and the damaged ancient Demon Soldier, Ancient Will Whip.
There was also the cultivation experience of the Passionate King, which left Chu Yun speechless, and the Jade Slip “Secrets of the Bridal Chamber,” which fascinated Xiao Xiaoxian.
The dilapidated Hurricane Bow, and the embryonic Six Desires Heart Demon Scorpion. If the three Upper grade Immortal Pouches were included, there were finally three items that even Chu Yun could not make sense of.
One was the Sea Dragon King’s Destiny Demonic Plant, the Dragon Wish Tree. Chu Yun’s rebirth was due to it. Yet, to this day, he still could not understand the Dragon Wish Tree’s purpose.
The second was an ancient blue pottery bowl. This mysterious Demon Soldier, which had once saved Chu Yun’s life in Night Emperor City and even scared away an innate million-year-level demonic beast, the Dark Shadow, could not be wielded by Chu Yun even now as a Marquis.
The third was a sealing scroll.
This treasure was pilfered by Xiao Xiaoxian from the Night Emperor’s sarcophagus. The Night Emperor, holding the Dao Dissolving Jade Slip in one hand, had the sealing scroll in the other.
The importance and preciousness of this scroll were evident. However, the Night Emperor had placed countless sealing Dao methods upon it, which Chu Yun could not unravel. He had no idea what was recorded within the scroll.
“Wait a moment. I couldn’t break the seal in Night Emperor City before because I hadn’t even reached Jun level. Now that I am a Marquis-level expert, I might as well try to break the seals and see what content inside is so valued by a strong expert like the Night Emperor.”
With this thought, Chu Yun was filled with renewed vigor.
He focused his energy, poured his mind into it, and attempted to break the first sealing Dao method.
Half an hour later, he succeeded in breaking the first seal. Two hours later, he broke the second. One hour later, he broke the third.
Then, he got stuck on the fourth seal, unable to break it for a long time.
